Framed in Blood would be a good place to start if you just want an overview, If you're seriously all about them you could go with the first album "bump and grind" if you are into the earlier stuff like "call me" or "mr. pain", if you are more interested in their later "goth" period stuff i would say start with "wasting the dawn" as its the first  album that really started this change in direction.

The worst thing to do is to get their singles, because that way you really miss out on some of their previous work.
I was going to bid on a really rare album of Jyrki he made, but I left town so I didnt see what happened.
I recently purchased Paris Kills Lp, 1,ooo were Made, Hand Numbered in Blood, Finnish (Only) Print Label.
Right now many people are too hooked on them because of their dark material, but what people should really do is really look back into the albums that have influenced them and the bands. Than they will be more open to sounds.

R.Z. There is an interview where Jyrki tries to explain that they were always "dark" they just slapped some black clothing and make up to look more goth. He has explained couple of times as to why, his response is mainly "Maturing and understanding each other".

Lucky! :)

Maybe Ville could have influenced the change in their music?

Ville started doing backing vocals on Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams and even wanted to co-produce the album but he didn't have time. Followed by Wasting The Dawn to the rest of their albums.

Although some of their previous albums do have a hint of gothic style, like the song "Velvet Touch" from Savage Garden.

I totally agree with you Tauriainen on two points:

1. About the worst thing you could do being the singles, granted i recommended "framed" for an overview,  but i think one of the worst things you could do would be to limit yourself solely to songs that have only been released as singles.

2. and on the point at looking/listening to the bands influences, in creating being more open to sounds.  It just makes sense and really doesn't need anymore explanation than "to see where you are now, see where you were."

Good post tauriainen, if i could give karma I would give it, but don't so I will when i can.

It's cool with me.  I changed mine, from the Gothic Girl to the Devils video.

Ok, I think The 69 Eyes MIGHT have a new label to release them if they have a problem with 456 Entertainment after their Devils premiere here.
Because I just found out through Jon Crosby (from VAST). That he has been getting ripped off the label for a long time now. They lacked to pay him for his year's service sell of his own album and promotion.
He has now decided to depart from 456 to continue with his own label 2Blossom.
Link

This might fuck the guys who are not exposed to the American Labels.
You wonder why Indie Musicians make more money sometimes than the regular big label musicians at the end of the year.

:)

I purchased, and I love it.

I am still trying to find this puppy again. I wouldnt mind paying 80 dollars for this. (It was selling for 10 on ebay, it is one of their rarest items so far for me).

The SG version is softer, more singing together
The BB is more 'gothic', darker, slower

'SG version' is the same as the 'Framed in Blood (Best of) version'
Only 3 sec shorter.

If someone else want it:
