Watching the videos already on YouTube I regret not getting tickets to nyc I was skeptical at first with this unknown band but I have to admit I’m impressed

Trying to be as unbiased as possible towards songs that are new versus those that have been released for a while, I don't agree with Neon Noir being the standout "HIM" song. I feel that many of the others fit that category better IMO. Personally, I think The Foreverlost is the most HIM'ish song on the album, but there are many others that could easily pass as well such as Salute the Sanguine, Saturnine Saturnalia, and Echolocate Your Love. Neon Noir IMO sounds like a song from bands 'Lost' or 'Icon & the Black Roses' with a little bit of Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly flair in the background... a song I personally never liked to begin with. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's a bad song. I haven't seen the music video of it yet. I'm going to go check it out right now.

His voice sounds damn fantastic. It was nice to hear his lower register, since it wasn’t really used to his deepest lows.

The band sounds great too.

Watching some of the YouTube videos and it doesn’t seem like he was phoning it in like he was the last years of HIM. Of course it’s night 1, so I’m sure he was pumped to be back. His voice sounds great and the band isn’t bad at all.

Also it’s interesting to hear the HIM songs with 2 live guitars. Definitely adds a little more punch.

It's interesting to hear the new band's guitar solos on the classic HIM songs and how they differ from Linde's originals.

I wouldn’t be all that mad if these guys become his permanent band and continue on the HIM legacy as VV, or some other name. They are really good.
