Wonder when US and Finland shows will be announced? Really don't know what to expect from the tour in June.

I wonder if all this not unusual downtime between the announcement of the tour and the release of the rest of the dates will hurt ticket sales. I've been wondering what's taking them so long too. Either the decision to call it quits was more recent than we think and they're still in the process of organizing everything, and with it being last minute they're having trouble getting everything set up correctly, or they saw the success of the shows that have already been on sale so they're expecting that for the US and looking to book bigger venues instead of what they originally intended to. If that's the case, I wonder if that's a good idea with all this time in between for people to calm down about the news or just simply forget about it.

Still feel somewhat disrespected as a fan that after all this time it comes to a culmination with just a few cryptic sentences. I feel like we deserve better than that. Show loyalty, receive loyalty. Maybe we'll get a better explanation in time, but it was just kinda like "Hey, we're done. Come see on us tour.” When Gas left he explained things in a way that made you understand and left no doubts. Maybe Ville wants to save all of that weepy stuff until after the final show, but come on now. We're all used to waiting and scratching our heads by now, I just don't feel the same respect and gratitude back from the band that we've shown them all these years throughout the ups and downs and numerous silent periods. But in the end it's their band and they can run it however they see fit. /endrantalmost

I also wonder how Gas feels about the whole thing. Not that I'm placing any blame on him whatsoever, it's not like the guy was looking to get a career threatening injury, but I think it goes without saying that it definitely sped up the inevitable. It gave the guys time to just do their own things and live their own lives without the grind of being in HIM, which must've been extremely nice for them on one hand,  but I'm sure they also all sat around and wondered about their own musical mortality, if they were to wake up one day with an affliction that stopped them from continuing their passion and their way of living. I think that's why the side projects started taking more of a precedence over HIM and eventually the split. Gotta do what you want to do now before it's too late. But I wonder, had Gas never sustained that injury, how would things be different now? Maybe they wouldn't be.

I wish they were really pushing out content in this final year. A celebration of HIM not just this tour and then goodbye at the end of the year. Updating the website with band rehearsals for the tour (the website is crap), new merch, venus doom vinyl, maybe announcing a tour documentary or DVD. I wonder what the back drop for the tour will be.

What rehearsals? 8) I kid.

I really don't have high hopes for this tour, though. I'm sure the band will sound perfectly fine and professional as usual, and we'll get a couple of songs out of the norm on the setlist, but it's been obvious (at least to me) that for some time now (pretty much ever since they left Sire) that their hearts just haven't been into it anymore and they've been ready to call it a day and go their separate ways for a decent amount of time now. I just hope they can find that passion for HIM they once had and put on some truly great performances. I'm not just talking about the setlist, I'm talking about looking at them and being able to tell they're enjoying themselves instead of just going through the motions that are second nature to them by now. I wouldn't go as far as to say that they've been phoning it in the past few years especially, but I don't think that would be out of line to say either. Age is certainly a bitch and it hasn't done anyone in the band any favors, but age has nothing to do with drive and passion. My complaining about the setlist over the years has always been because I wasn't seeing a band that was putting in the effort to put on a good show anymore and enjoying themselves while doing it, rather than being upset because they weren't playing what I wanted them to play. But it happens with all bands so it's not like it's anything unusual. It's just sad to see it happen to your favorite band.

not to sound like a dick but I feel like Ville has so much say over the rest of the band members and that's what slowed down the momentum [excluding Gas's injuries]

could be totally wrong though

on top of that, these five guys need to be a little more spontaneous with what they play.....tour after tour, they never come out and play an encore with a song theyve never played....hell these guys can easily learn to play a new cover song mid tour, and even if it isnt rehearsed for months in advance, im sure they could still pull it off...but as i mentioned before....I feel like Ville has too much say into where the band goes

Maybe the entire Firewell tour will get cancelled...

working their asses off in the studio? maybe for their solo projects, not for HIM. HIM is over, done, closed chapter.

i dont know, at this point, everything is possible. Everything came out of blue, suddently, everyone was expecting the new album and they called it a day. Now everyone is waiting for US tour dates and getting ready for the Farewell tour, i would not be surprised if anything happened.... i mean i dont even took the fucking shit piece of paper when i was buying the tickets, so if the tour or Prague gig was cancelled i would not get the money back.... and everything is so strange lately, no info at all, absolutely the band is not giving a single shit , quiet 4000
if they cancelled the farewell tour, it would not be surprise for me

i was expecting that they will announce US tour dates soon , in march, its a middle of May, no info yet. Its odd. They only have that US and Helldone dates will be announced. And on the FB page they said that Helldone will be announced in July. No word about US dates to be announced in July too....
maybe they are booking larger venues due to a higher demand for the tickets or maybe they are just taking time you know :D to keep us nervous and hooked

now its time to get Venus Doom to be finally released on the fucking Vinyl !

We knew that it will happen one day. I am not mad just disappointed because the band only have Dan P Carter one statement, a sentence. And it was it. Nothing more, so HIM like :-D since then they are quiet, actually i really think that we deserve the best out of them on the farewell tour. They said that lets celebrate HIS INFERNAL MAJESTY, so i hope they will put the last effort into it, and they will have at least 120 minutes long time in the gigs, no support needed, just 100% performance, good setlist and good attitude and mood. And of course we want Tavastia last gig to be recorded or live streamed, dont we?

Ville did say on the Digital versatile Doom DVD 'we'll go down like the band from titanic, rocking out!' The tour will go a head, Kosmo posted rehearsal clip on his Instagram preparing for the tour.

It's illogical they want to have a USA tour but they're booked until December and they wanna be done by the end of the year.  I suspect the only way would be to have a really small US tour.

what? they have few gigs in November, december is almost full (+ Helldone) .... and few in June, with 2 dates in July..... and now lets count....half of the July, August, September, October, more than half of the November.... these are absolutely gig free months, pretty nice window to make a huge US tour .... + South American dates too , Australia maybe

there are a few gig free months but I doubt that booking a venue for each gig will be easy...normally, they have the venue booked months ahead of time. it's seems super scattered

That's more than likely what the hold up is, trying to book a tour on such short notice. Just imagine trying to get everything lined up last minute. Venues, transportation, etc. It's gotta be a total nightmare, and let's be honest they don't exactly have the best in the business doings these things for them. If the tour comes to fruition it's going to be interesting to see when and where they play since you have to figure the venues they would normally play at are already booked. We might see them playing a show at Joe's Bar & Grill or something like that lol.

well, imagine that easy going "family" atmosphere there, so close to the band, intimate.... eating grilled steaks, drinking beer and watching HIM playing few meters from us. This is my idea of heaven.
