I have seen them just twice:
09/10/2005 - Bratislava, Slovakia
10/12/2013 - Prague, Czech Republic

my favorite live songs:
- I Will Be the End of You (Prague 2013)
- Into The Night (Prague 2013)
- Razorblade Kiss (Bratislava 2005)
- Vampire Heart (Bratislava 2005)
- Poison Heart (Bartislava 2005)

favorite tours (just from bootlegs, those i have seen are not my favorite):
- the entire 2003 + the entire 2004 tour = this is for me their best live era, both passion and setlist were amazing and Ville did well even when he was wasted he sang great

my missed shows that i first planned, but..... :
Vienna 2006 - i didnt have anyone to go with me to Vienna and i was only 15 (went 16 on June 2006) at the moment so it didnt work for me this time (i regret this the most! perfect setlist that night)

Vienna 2008 and Prague 2008 - It was on tuesday and wednesday and i could not miss the school in the middle of the week for a concert in Prague or Vienna, parents didnt let no matter what

Donauinselfest, Vienna 2010 - after Rock Am Ring 2010 video i just said that they sucked live at the moment and i didnt bother to go, i dont regret this at all

Sadly I've only seen them 3 times :( Could have been 5 but I missed their first concert after I discovered them in 2003 (I was almost 13 and cried my eyes out), and their last in September (and man I hate having missed Gas' very last performance here). They don't come for gigs in greece too often anyway, can't have been more than 7 or so in total, and there was a huge gap between 2007-2014.

Anyways, dates:
June 22nd 2004, Rockwave Festival
March 13th 2006, Athens/Pantheon/Whatever Arena (god I hate that "venue")
September 15th 2007, Lycabettus Theatre

Favourite songs... Favourite songs... I'm looking through the threads with the tracklists on this site and I'm struggling to remember. It feels like a lifetime ago :')
The 2004 concert wasn't exactly their best (though I was too excited to give a damn), but as far as I can recall Buried Alive By Love, Beyond Redemption and Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart were pretty good moments.
2006... I don't remember specific songs as much as a couple of odd/cool things that happened. So yeah.
For 2007 it would be the Venus Doom songs, and Under The Rose. They kinda fucked that last one up at some point (which Ville admitted himself), but I really loved how it sounded live regardless.

Also I got pretty nostalgic and dug up my old tickets:

Placebo! I wish they would tour the states again...I missed them when they played the Projekt Revolution tour with HIM and Linkin Park.

As for seeing HIM live? I think it's been about 7 times now...I lost count.

Lol, I didn't stay for Placebo that day though. After waiting for several hours for HIM to get on stage and then an hour of jumping and screaming like my life depended on it I just wanted to go home :P

I guess I'm the one who fucked up the most... I was at the M'era Luna Festival 2013 but didn't stay longer then a few minutes because I had to do the fucking dishes. On a festival, goddammit.
That said, I wasn't into HIM then. Not sure if I had listened to any song other than Join Me (which was on the radio once in a while years ago). I feel so young and stupid.
Will you dance to this beat and hold a lover close

I've seen HIM live twice.
Dates:
07/27/2013 - Qstock, Oulu, Finland
08/09/2014 - Miljoona Rock, Tuuri, Finland

At the second gig in Miljoona Rock, i was able to go to the backstage and meet all of the guys :) I got my And Love Said No vinyl box set signed by the whole band and Linde gave me a guitar pick. BTW the show was very good.

The tour archive thread had be questioning how many times have I really seen them as I keep a really good ongoing tally how many times I've seen all the bands I've seen over the years. Just no exact dates

But it is indeed 14 times. I'm really only posting the details so I have a backup of the info for myself

Just 09.06.2013 - The Gorge (Pain In The Grass) - Quincy, WA

It rained most of the beginning of the day but stopped before the main stage groups were up. Well mostly, it showered off and on. But the sun came out just before HIM and it stopped raining for the rest of the night. No video or pictures due to camera having been stolen. And no merch because tickets and travel had costed all my money. Otherwise no regrets. Wished it was a bit darker when HIM started because I would have liked to see what the lights were doing. Got plenty of smoke and pyro from Avenged Sevenfold though. My favorite band before I really got into HIM. Just couldn't believe my luck on that one. Really wished I could have stayed for day two when Coheed & Cambria were playing.

The first time I saw them they were great. The last time I saw them Ville had a cold, but he still sounded pretty good. However, if I'm being honest, it was boring. Ville has no stage presence. He just stands there.

Livestreams for example. You can open a new tab and go surf the web and when you return it's like you never left the page at all. Ville hasn't moved an inch.

Its really hard to pick favourites. But some gigs stand out:

Hultsfred 2004: my first gig and there is always something special about that, great set list, good show

Helldone - Oulu 28.12.13: Its was the first time they played "For You" after 11 something years. Totally unexpected and its my favourite HIM song ever. Cant describe the feeling standing there and suddenly hear that intro riff. Crazy!

The London dingwalls show In 2013 - super tiny venue, hot as hell and overall one of the best shows i've seen.

The Arena Berlin show 2006 - something special about seeing HIM sell out an 8000 capacity venue, such a good show, a drunk ville and a great set. The 06 shows we're a lot of fun.

Ok, i can keep on saying things about every gig...I'm gonna stop now :P

I have seen them more then 15 times. Saw the very first show in NY on there first US tour which was one of the weirdest shows I have been to crowd wise cause nobody really knew how to react to them playing. Most people followed Bam and the cky crew around the venue so I got to really enjoy the music. Another good show was when they toured with Finch. They played House of Blue's in Atlantic City and I guess they still weren't very popular so there was maybe around 150 people. Got to hang out drink beer and they put on one of the best shows even taking a few requests since nobody was there.

I flew over with a friend to see them there. I just could not miss a chance to see HIM's first ever concert in China. We decided on going like 3 weeks before. Really spontaneous. I got my visa approved like 1 day before departure. Really close call, haha. I were also in Beijing to see them, but as you guys know the storm ripped the main stage apart (
)
And in Shanghai the goverment try to stop the gig so they only played 6 songs, haha. Still one of the most memroable HIM trips ever. Lot of crazy shit happend.

I just work in a kindergarden. Nothing fancy at all. But norwegian salary is pretty high compared to the rest of the world becuase of the oil and air travel is cheap these days so that makes travelling pretty easy ;-)

I've seen them twice already and am about to see them for the third time (Warsaw, Poland, August 5), so how should I vote? :D Interestingly (or not), all my HIM gigs were and will be in the same city. That's probably why there was an almost 12-year gap between my first and second HIM concert - there were none in between! Which kind of reminds me how loyal a fan I am.  ;)

I'd love to hear For You, Love You Like I Do, The Path and Resurrection. Some rare live-only cover songs would be great, too, like Enjoy the Silence or Larger than Life. ;D Generally, they could play fewer of their hit singles in favour of less known material. Unlike my previous HIM gig, which was during a festival, this time it's going to be a proper concert (= there will be no accidental people there, just fans), so maybe they will try harder with the setlist.

Been lurking this forumn for ages now, decided to create an account just to reply to this thread. I've seen HIM 5x now all in phx az. My most memorable set came on that faithful day of 6/6/06. Lucky for us HIM stopped in the hottest place in the US just for this date. Just for reassurance there happened to be a wild dust storm that day and Ville assured us he would like to usher in the apocalypse. It was a great show that ended w the Ave Satanus tribute!

Now that I have seen them properly in Leipzig, I'm not as disappointed anymore that I missed them at M'era Luna '13. A friend of mine was there and she said she wasn't very impressed.
It might be a personal feeling but I'd rather see them playing a 'private' concert than a festival, I think. I wouldn't miss the opportunity again, though :D
