Symphonic Metal

Anyone out there into symphonic metal? If so, please share your favorite bands/songs/albums.  :D

I'm a huge fan of Epica, and really love their last two albums "The Quantum Enigma" and "Requiem For The Indifferent."

Delain is also a favorite of mine. I'd consider them to be the most accessible band of the genre.

Not so sure if you would count this or not. I don't listen to symphonic metal as much as I do what I call "epic metal", the fusion of power metal and symphonic metal.

Leaves Eyes is another favorite of mine. Great song choice. I need to check out more stuff from Kamelot (the lead singer of Epica is actually married to one of these guys) and Tristania, for sure.

I'm more of an occasional listener, but I like Xandria a lot. Actually, their album India since I didn't check out their other stuff yet  :D
Hard to tell which are my favourites but I think I'd go with India (though the intro is kinda ridiculously long), Fight Me, Black and Silver and Like a Rose on the Grave of Love.
Will you dance to this beat and hold a lover close

I like the genre, but I'm more of an occasional listener as well.

I love Leaves Eyes.  I first heard Liv Kristine when she was with Theatre of Tragedy.  My friend went on a vacation in Germany and came across the Velvet Darkness They Fear album.  I loved the whole "beauty and the beast" thing they were doing. Plus there were boobs on the cover.  As a horned-up middle schooler, it was album of the year.  :P
