before years there was a romour that ville is got the idea for join me from old song called El_kel_iset - Humppasonni Is that true or just humppasonni is a cover of him - join me...

Join me was ripped off of one of Ville's older songs, known as Resurrection. But it was commonly called "I've crossed oceans of wine to find you"

Then he modified it, and turned it into two songs.

I've crossed oceans of wine, dated way back. Join me goes back to 97-98 era, with different lyrics. But same chorus. Okay, so the second verse is the only thing really too different.

But oceans of wine was written in 94-95 era. Recorded in 97.

yeah they were recorder the first demo of join me in jan1998...i read that somewhere...i now there is record of this early version of join me where the song is more longer and the lyrics too...actually i like it more than the album version...it sounds me more melancholic...i wish i could here it in studio version...

Yeah. It was suppose to be on SWD, they actually recorded it with Juhana when he was the drummer. Then he up and left due to personal issues. Then they began to record a few songs with a drum machine, unfortunatly, Join me was not recorded with the machine, because they then found Gas, and then started over yet again.

Eläkeläiset (Finnish for "pensioners") are a Finnish comedy humppa band founded 1993.

Eläkeläiset mainly play cover versions of famous pop and rock hits in a fast humppa or slow jenkka style (both sound somewhat similar to polka music the way Weird Al Yankovic plays it) with Finnish lyrics — the original songs are barely recognizable.

Oh god no, Eläkeläiset definitely covered "Join Me" there... And according to Ville he felt very honored when hearing about it.

is pretty much impossible to write something and not rip off another band because alot of stuff is different

i like how HIM have ripped off alot of people yet there one of the most unqiue bands you will finf who no else will sound similar to

tht looks fake to me because the pic is a screencap from the video pretending which came out after the album was released (i think) plus i dont think there was a different cover for the promo of deep shadows brilliant highlights than the regular album pic

It's fairly rare, but you'll find them on ebay every now and then. I highly reccomend picking it up if you can. The earlier mixes of Salt In Our Wounds and Please Don't Let It Go are awesome.

They are one and the same. They aren't really demos because at that point in time they were the final mixes that would have made it to the final CD. A demo is something that a band records prior to going into the studio, to get a feel for what they will be recording.
Salt In Our Wounds's early mix actually lasted right up until the last minute. The earlier mix was also on a ten track GUN promo of the album that was supposed to be the final versions of all the songs. On that CD, all of the other songs are the final versions that are on the album, including all of those that had earlier mixes on the advance album promo. SIOW is the only song to still feature an earlier mix.
