Bet the setlist for LOVE METAL ARCHIVES TOUR
« on: October 23, 2014, 03:38:53 AM »
Ok we have promised reissues and a support mini-tour in US
they are supporting the releases , in the ideal world they would have played just songs from these reissued albums - Gr8est lovesongs vol 666 , RR, DSBH and Love Metal (maybe 666 ways to love too?)

i doubt they will do this as they dont like to change their setlist (as we could see on ToT Tour), but i will try it without other albums

This is something to live this forum up a little bit more , BET the setlist , NOT what do you WANT but what do you think they will perform. Order is free, only songs count. The one with the most songs wins.

my 1 cent......
1. Buried Alive by Love
2. Right Here In My Arms
3. Your Sweet 666
4. Wicked Game
5. Our Diabolikal Rapture
6. The Sacrament
7. Pretending
8. For You
9. Soul On Fire
10. Its All Tears
11. In Joy and Sorrow
12. The Funeral of Hearts
13. Poison Girl
14. Heartache Every Moment
15. Death Is In Love With Us
16. When Love and Death Embrace
17. Join Me

after that you can show us your wished and dreamed setlist as you want it to be!
this is my:

Resurrection
Razorblade Kiss
The Beginning of the end
Beyond Redemption
Pretending
Heartache Every Moment
Please Dont Let It Go
Lose You Tonight
Sweet Pandemonium
Sigillum Diaboli
One Last Time
For You
The Sacrament
Solitary Man
Resurrection
Resurrection
Resurrection
and
Resurrection  ;D

While I agree that is gonna be most of the songs they've been playing, I think we'll get a few curveballs. These aren't in any particular order.

My prediction...
It's All Tears (Drown in This Love)
When Love and Death Embrace
For You
The Heartless
Wicked Game
Poison Girl
Right Here in My Arms
Join Me in Death
Pretending
Please Don't Let It Go
In Joy and Sorrow
Heartache Every Moment
Buried Alive By Love
Soul on Fire
The Sacrament

Encore
The Funeral of Hearts
Stigmata Diaboli

My ideal set would be...
For You
The Beginning of the End
Our Diabolikal Rapture
It's All Tears (Drown in This Love)
One Last time
Razorblade Kiss
Right Here in My Arms
Salt in Our Wounds
Lose You Tonight
In Love and Lonely
Beyond Redemption
Circle of Fear
The Path

Encore
Dark Secret Love
Stigmata Diaboli

Killing loneliness that's optimistic  ;D but joking aside I really do hope they mix it up majorly and play some more songs from deep shadows because even though it's one of my least favourite HIM albums there are a couple of outstanding songs like please don't let it go,salt in out wounds and I really like you are the one. Do you actually think they'll stick to the first 4 albums or just play the usual setlist?

Not that I could see it but I guess if I was like you guys, tired of the old set list and hoping for songs from only the release, I would be rooting for The Heartless, Heartache Every Moment, Pretending, Razorblade Kiss, Death Is In Love With Us, Resurrection, Circle of Fear, and Sweet Pandemonium. I don't follow it enough to reasonably bet on a whole list. On a random note.... Pandemonium- that word tickles my fancy.

I purposely didn't read anyone else's guesses. I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to copy them. 8)

Here's what I think it will be:

1. Buried Alive By Love
2. Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly
3. Right Here In My Arms
4. Heartache Every Moment
5. Your Sweet 666
6. All Lips Go Blue
7. Join Me In Death
8. Death Is In Love With Us
9. It's All Tears (Drown In This Love)
10. Wicked Game
11. Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart
12. Poison Girl
13. For You
14. The Funeral Of Hearts
Encore:
15. Soul On Fire
16. When Love And Death Embrace and/or In Joy And Sorrow if the crowd is lucky

Overall, it'll mostly be the same setlist they've been using for awhile now. The band thinks the fans in the US only know Razorblade Romance songs when it comes to the older stuff, so that's the album they'll focus on primarily when it comes to changing things up for this mini-tour. That's the way it was in 2004, and that's the way it still is now. With only three song changes on the main setlist, though, it's not like they're shaking things up too much. I'd like to see Razorblade Kiss and Lose You Tonight make a return. Razorblade Kiss should be played at every concert just like Wicked Game and Join Me In Death are, except on rare occasions. Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights is sure to get at least one representative each night, though, and I think Heartache Every Moment will be the one. It fits in perfectly in that spot on the setlist just like in the old days.

EDIT: Having a hard time figuring out what the second jam song (the first, technically) will be for Ville to go smoke without The Kiss Of Dawn on the setlist, though. It would be a surprise if they jammed with Heartache Every Moment. Would be cool, though. Pretending would work in that spot, but I'm sticking with Heartache Every Moment since I went with that first.

I can already see the complaints now if they actually used that setlist. From the newer fans: They only played one song from Tears On Tape! From the diehards: Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart was a surprise, and Heartache Every Moment was cool to see again, but the setlist still sucks! They just played Death Is In Love With Us and In Joy And Sorrow not too long ago. Give us something new instead of the same old shit! Bring back the songs we actually want to hear! :P

Guess I might as well do my dream setlist too. Here's what I'm feeling at the moment, in absolutely no particular order because I would be sitting here for hours trying to figure out the correct placement of each song:

1. And Love Said No
2. In The Nightside Of Eden
3. Beyond Redemption
4. Razorblade Kiss
5. Circle Of Fear
6. Heaven Tonight
7. Don't Close Your Heart
8. The 9th Circle
9. Love In Cold Blood
10. Dark Sekret Love
11. In Venere Veritas
12. Venus Doom
13. Love You Like I Do
14. Under The Rose
15. Love's Requiem
16. Drunk On Shadows
17. Dead Lovers' Lane

Yeah, I sort of took the cheap route and listed a lot of songs they've never played live before. I genuinely enjoy each one of those songs, though. If I was in charge of the setlist for one night, I'd want them to play songs they've never played before just so I could hear what they sound like live once. Not sure how good they would be without plenty of practice beforehand, though. :)

Some songs that I think are closer with a "real setlist".

01. Buried Alive By Love
02. Join Me
03. Heartache Every Moment
04. It's All Tears
05. In Joy And Sorrow
06. Right Here In My Arms
07. Wicked Game
08. Soul on Fire
09. Pretending
10. Poison Girl
11. For You
12. Stigmata Diaboli (or some song from 666WTL)
13. Death is in love with us
14. The Sacrament
15. Razorblade Kiss
16. Sweet Pandemonium
17. The Funeral of Hearts
18. When Love And Death Embrace
19. Your Sweet Six Six Six
20. Gone With The Sin
21. Some great Surprise... I will love something like "The Path"...

Probably not all the songs from the list, but I think that 10 songs from this will be played. And I think (and hope) that the setlist only will include songs from the reissues...  I really hope a "large" setlist, but probably they will play only 15-17 songs.

Songs that I will love to see on the setlist:
01. Resurrection
02. Please Don't Let It Go (Hollola Tapes or live 2003 version)
03. Lose You Tonight (Hollola Tapes or live 2003 version)
04. Beyond Redemption
05. Gone With The Sin (2001 version)
06. This Fortress Of Tears
07. I Love You
08. The Beginning Of The End
09. Our Diabolikal Rapture
10. Poison Girl or Join Me In Death (SWD extended versions)
11. The Path
12. Salt In Our Wound (Thulsa Doom Version)
13. One Last Time (or The 9th Circle)
14. Beautiful or Again (Hollola Tapes)
15. Love You Like I Do
Where the lost are safe until they love again...

Almost everybody added Heartache Every Moment - I hope this comes true :D I have no idea why they are holding back this song from us. During the summer HIM played a show in Hungary and as part of an interview I had the chance to ask Ville about the DSABH songs we miss from their setlist. He just came with the regular answer: "They have been focusing on ToT/They don't fit that much/They cannot skip songs like BABL, SOF, Join Me/bla bla", but also added that at least they brought back For You and maybe they will bring back Disarm Me in the near future.
I'm fine but I hear those voices at night...

They have to play Heartache Every Moment just for the fact the diehard bundle is entitled...
HIM - Lashes To Ashes, Lust To Dust: A Vinyl Retrospective '96-'03

I wonder what the chances them actually doing Stigmata Diaboli since 666WTL got released as well.   Would be cool if they did open with that.  I chose not to include For You Or WLADE in my prediction just because they played that all year and they should throw in some different rarities.  At first I thought they were actually going to play stuff before 2003 but they have to play at least one TOT song and WOAB was just too popular for them not to play it.   I do think they should cut out Passion's Killing Floor and The Kiss of Dawn just to make more room in the set for older stuff.  I wouldn't mind if they played Sleepwalking Past Hope in a 2nd Encore.  I do think they will play The Sacrament but the song I really want to hear live is Pretending maybe with an extended Jam.

Wonder if they would play a song from King Of Rock'n'roll as Daniel Lioneye to warm up for Helldone.   I would probably have a heart attack and die from excitement.

Today tomorrow seems so far away and the wait in vain

Just once, play Love You Like I Do. It would be a great live song, second from a closer. Linde could have a liiiitle bit of ditortion on a clean channel, keys doing their job, Ville on Acoustic like they have been doing lately. Aghh!! Please!!

I wish they'd do what Coheed & Cambria did a few years back with their Neverender shows and play all of the albums all the way through. Sort of an extension of the "Love Metal Live" thing.

I saw that earlier and lost my mind over Razorblade Kiss, just like when they played For You on the tour this summer. I'd love to see them play more Screamworks stuff on the next tour.
