I think it's our farewells to the summer rain since this is a autumn inspired album...

"Our farewells to the summer rain" is an incomplete sentence and doesn't really make sense.

"I fill wells to the summer rain" makes more sense, but I really doubt that's it.

I know it seems like I'm nitpicking and being stubborn, but I am 99% sure it's "I fear we're lost to the summer rain". I can hear "Fear" clearly and although it does kinda sound like he says "whittles" I'm sure he's just saying "we're lost" really fast. It's definitely not the first time he's said 2 words together like that.

On the part that we're discussing he clearly starts by saying "I" which throws "our farewells" out of the question.

After listening to this song a lot at work last night, I think it's our farewells to the summer rain too. "Soaked in blood I cry our farewells to the summer rain, lonely and afraid." It's kind of drawn out and a bit awkward the way he says it, but it does fit with the next line of lonely and afraid.

Doesn't sound like "we're lost" to me. Definitely sounds more like "fill wells".

"Our farewells to the summer rain" works if you switch up your pronunciation from Standard American.

Our = Ah
farewells = feh-wells
summer = sum-uh

If you haven't noticed, Ville has a slightly South-England English accent. This is particularly noticeable in his non-rhotic approach to pronunciation when singing. For example, in "Heartkiller" the line "Sparks will fly" is pronounced "Spocks will fly". haha
