Does anyone know what the blue Gone With the Sin Promo goes for now?  Thinking of selling one, but I have no idea what a fair price would be.

Here is what I've been doing all this time....moving into a new apartment and buying old, ugly china cabinets and painting them dark, gothic colors so it can house my ever growing HIM collection.  Here is a snapshot of what I have on display....the bottom of the cabinet is filled with my insane magazine collection....yes, I feel like I have an addiction.   ;)

Hi! I've been a HIM fan for some 15 years now, but I'm new to this forum. I've been wondering for quite a while now if there has or hasn't been a studio version of the Enjoy the Silence cover. Please help.

Yeah, that's what I thought... Too bad, they should record a definitive studio version.

Do you remember how much you paid for the The Sacrament promo? I've been out of collecting for awhile now, so I don't really know what things go for now and how much the prices have changed. It seems like they're much lower now, which sucks because I'd like to get rid of most of the rest of the stuff I've got and haven't sold yet, but I don't wanna just give it away. The reason I ask about that promo is because I've got one with the original fact sheet that came with it and I haven't really seen too many of those. It's one of the things I'd like to put on eBay, but if they go for cheap now even without the fact sheet (unless yours came with one, I don't know) it makes more sense for me to hold onto my stuff and wait until a HIM craze starts up again, probably around the time of the next album even though that's a ways away. I should've been a seller more instead of a buyer during the Tears On Tape release, damn it. I sold some stuff, but bought more. Then I got ripped off on selling a $200 US Tears On Tape promo to some douchebag who claimed they never got it, and it put me off from selling after that. I could've made a damn killing back then. I hope most of the “rare” things are still moderately expensive at least.

I bought it for $90 which I thought was reasonable as I've seen them sell for over $200 I think now is a bad time to sell HIM stuff, in the middle of an album cycle. HIM stuff was high priced around when TOT came out then dropped off again same happened when Screamworks came out. Id wait until the reissues come out and see if that raises the interest in HIM CDs. As for the info sheet I've seen them in the past with info sheets and hand numbered, but not for a while. I'd imagine it could add $50 or something to the right buyer.

$90 actually isn't too bad, honestly. The last I knew, they were going for $80 on average without the sheet, and that's how much I was expecting I might get for it now if I was lucky with the sheet included with the drop in prices since there's a major lull in things, but I guess there are still some items that haven't gone down a whole lot in value like a lot of others I've seen have, although I do find it weird what some of the things are that are still expensive while other things you'd normally think of as better and more desirable aren't. Some of them don't make any sense at all to me, but that's still encouraging news. I might go ahead and throw some stuff up on eBay after all with a reserve price just in case, and just see what happens. I still have some high priced stuff I haven't sold yet. It'll be kind of bittersweet once I sell it all and I'm left with nothing, but I had a good ten years of fun on and off selling and buying whatever I could get my hands on. Thanks for the quick response. A PS4 is going to be in my future as long as someone doesn't rip me off again haha. I should still have a lot of stuff leftover after that too, but maybe I'll save those items for a better time for maximum value.

i tend to get high prices if i put things on as buy it now or best offer which has got me $350 for DS&BH work in progress and over $500 for a HER pink promo so with the rarer things id go down that route if i was you. I have seen the price skyrocket on some things over time like pink wicked game singles I've seen sell for in excess of $200 and the venus doom leathery/special/bonus/super heartagram edition journal thing sell for a ridiculous price look at the USD price ;D (Not me selling)

That's absolutely ridiculous for the Venus Doom lol. I've owned two of those over the years. One I pre-ordered when it was first coming out, and then the other I got much later on. The one I got later I'm pretty sure I got for cheaper than the first one when it was new. That's exactly what I mean about some weird things being expensive all of a sudden for really no reason at all for the most part, though, and then the things that were once were expensive, and were that way for a really long time, are cheap now. I just browsed eBay earlier to see what's going on at the moment, and I still see that a certain someone is still trying to sell the same CDs they've been trying to sell for months upon months. They keep lowering and lowering the prices and no one's biting on them. No one wants a When Love And Death Embrace digipak for $60. No one wants a HER Razorblade Romance for $100. It's kind of sad, both for him and for someone like me who would like to sell what they have without taking anywhere from a small to a huge loss on my investment in each item. For each thing that I got a really good deal on, I either paid full price or overpaid for something else because I just wanted it right then and now. And then there's both a Heartkiller and a Scared To Death promo from Denmark that are each only at $9.99 at the moment. That's a steal as far as I'm concerned. If I was still collecting, I'd snatch those up myself. I also see marta30's Gone With The Sin on there, I think. Too rich for my blood. That's something I have never owned and would still like to, actually. Even though I have no intentions of ever collecting again, there's still a few things I'd like to have that have always been way too expensive for me to be comfortable with buying, or just simply too rare to pop up on eBay randomly more than once, if at all.

EDIT: Holy fuck, I just looked into shipping to other countries, and I had heard the prices had gone up, but I didn't know that it could now cost me anywhere between $20-40 to send a CD to the UK, for example. That's fucking retarded. Around the time of Tears On Tape, I sent out a bunch of packages overseas. I don't think shipping was ever more than $7, if even that. I don't think anyone is gonna wanna spend a bunch on a CD and then drop another $40 to have it shipped. I'm certainly not gonna pay all of that, or even half. Plus, my post office told me that not everywhere has insurance and tracking available to me depending on where I send the item, and that's pretty fucking stupid as well. Makes it pretty easy for another person to say to me that they never got the package and for eBay to side with their lying ass because of it. They're really making this hard on me haha. Guess I'll be holding onto my stuff for a little while longer.

I remember you saying about getting scammed on a TOT promo to me on ebay because I sold you a YS666 Digipak around that time. As a general rule most people are honest but it only takes one. Also ebay/paypal always side with the buyer for some reason. Yeah I bought mine for $34.99 or something from heartagram.com back in 2007. In the UK it's about £15 with insurance to ship an expensive CD to the US which is like $25 or so.

The good thing about the promo, even though the dude ended up getting it for free from me, was that I only paid $40 for it to begin with on a Buy It Now, so I wasn't out a whole lot, but making such a large profit off of it sure would've been nice. They were going for big money back then, I just happened to get lucky and see one of the first ones put on there before the sellers realized how much they could charge for it. I wonder if that person ended up selling it themselves between then and now, or if it's still a part of their collection. I'd love to run across it someday in someone's collection pictures online just to see who has it now. The shipping nowadays is just ridiculous, though. It sucks that I can have a CD sent to me from the UK and the buyer can make sure I actually received it so there aren't any problems on their end and whatnot, but I can't do the same if I'm sending something over there, apparently. Even if they charge me $40 to send the package, I'm at the mercy of the buyer to be honest about the transaction. They said it depends on exactly where I send it to as far as what I'm able to do about insurance and tracking and shit, but that's still kinda bullshit, and it's still expensive as hell compared to what it just was not really all that long ago. That one promo is the only time I've ever had anything go wrong when I've sold something on eBay, but I'm definitely not gonna take the chance it happens again, especially on things that I spent a good amount of money on. The dude who ripped me off even had the nerve to make a sarcastic comment about how I should've gotten insurance for it, which I probably wasn't even able to do knowing what I know now about how it works for sending things over there, but I just trusted that people wouldn't do that, plus I didn't wanna charge them a shitload for shipping on top of an already expensive CD. It's just strange that all of the other packages I sent out that day made it to their destinations with no problems and in only a few days lol.

Shitty is right. I hope it comes back to life soon, just long enough for me to sell what I need to sell and get the hell out. It can go back to being shitty again right after that. The collector in me thinks that the way prices are now is the way they should've always been, but the seller in me thinks the prices are way too low and should be about three times higher on everything if not more. 8)

In the end, though, if I could just get my money back I would be happy. I don't wanna lose money because I went eBay crazy one day and spent $250 on a CD with only four songs on it or something like that. If I could break even, that would be cool. It would still be a good amount of money, and then maybe one day I could get back into collecting again when people aren't even able to give this stuff away, if I'm still a fan of the band at that time.
