I think Ville could definitely pull off an Incubus song.

Oh, no.  I don't think they new album is going to be nothing but covers if that's what you're trying to get at. Covers are just for the fun of it.

I know I mean let They focus on new album - thats all ;)

Covers are nice but I guess some wants to HIM become cover band or something ...

I think this topic is just for the fun of it.  We realize HIM won't cover most of these songs, they're just ideas.

I'd love to hear their version of "Welcome To The Jungle" by G'nR. I think it would be very "Rendezvous With Anus" like, funny and all.

What was the last cover song they did?

What was the last cover song they did?

They're currently playing "Rebel Yell" live but the last cover they did in studio was "Solitary Man" for 'And Love Said No (...)'.

dont mean to be a jerk and correct you
but i think it was actually Poison Heart during the DL recordings in '05
unless they recorded that song earlier
pretty sure it was after Solitary Man tho

No problem with the correction. You're right I forgot that cover. They used to play that song live, but was indeed the last to be recorded in studio.

some the stooges song would be great =) like 'your pretty face is going to hell' or 'search and destroy'
I wish I could say hello to Iggy Pop. Obviously, this is not the right moment!

dragostea din tei
Dragostea Din Tei??? OMG you're soooo funny!!!!!
Well, we know that Ville doesn't like dance music. Hear the happy songs makes him sad and vice versa...
I want to hear some covers of Bon Jovi
In the 80s and 90s
Livin' On The Prayer would be great
And, as we know, he sang it one time right??
"woaaahh, liwin' on the prayer..."  :D

The Who - 'Love, Reign O'er Me'
http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=0ef4180550515517d2db6fb9a8902bda

i think the vocal range of Roger Daltrey is very similar to what Ville can do.  Listen to the chorus. I can totally see(and have seen many a time) Ville sing like this. there's some fun keyboard work for burton. the guitar work is obviously very classic rock which is something linde does time and time again. those are the major points i think

thoughts?

The Who - 'Love, Reign O'er Me'

That happens to be my favourite Who track.

I have sort of given up thinking what HIM should cover - getting sick of cover songs in general these days...
..but it would be an interesting one to hear them do.

I just saw the Who sunday night and I went absolutely crazy when they played this song. In my head I kinda replaced roger with ville just for kicks.

But thanks jen for seeing my vision. hehe

Do you have a recording of the song from the gig that you could share?

I'm in the process of searching the web for the entire show. If I come across it i'll post in the sharing thread and PM you

nice! i think the funniest thing is that these older bands like the who (or rush) can play for 2 2 1/2 hours. but all these new bands call it quits after 1:15hr or 1:30hr. you'd think it'd be the opposite

there's a recording of your show here at
