+1 suck for you for keepin' it real. I bet the people who commented on that Unleash The Red "leak" on YouTube are eating those lyrics up.

Well, the people who thought it was real and their comments got approved, anyway. My comment didn't. :(

I've never been a KISS fan.  But that song is terrible just the same.  And yes, there are some stupid people on these here webs.

I was almost tempted to put my cc info in on that page for the 1.99 and see if it was actually the album but I stopped myself I did call the payment company and they seemed legit spoke to a rep. But they are third party.

Are you serious, bro? You almost gave them your credit card info and went as far as calling a rep? I'm glad you didn't go through with it.

Just in case people missed any info, here's a nice article I found:

Finnish rockers HIM will release their new album, "Tears On Tape", on April 30th, 2013 via Razor & Tie in North America and on April 29th, 2013 through DoubleCross (Cooking Vinyl's specialist rock imprint) in the U.K. and Ireland.

"For me, what it means is how songs - I'm not talking about our songs, but songs in general - can be milestones. You hear a song and it brings you to where you heard that song for the first time, or when it meant something really big to you. 'Tears On Tape' means that I appreciate the people who have really poured their souls and hearts out on tape, and showed that to the rest of the world for the better or for the worse. I wouldn't be here without those tears of Elvis Presley on tape." -Ville Valo

HIM's lineup consists of:
Ville Valo - Vocals | Mikko "Linde" Lindstrom - Guitar | Mikko "Mige" Paananen - Bass | Janne "Burton" Puurtinen - Keyboards | Mika "Gas" Karppinen - Drums

The eighth official album was recorded at Helsinki's Finnvox Studios with longtime producer Hiili Hiilesmaa (who has also worked with artists such as Apocalyptica, Amorphis, and Moonspell) and was mixed in London, England by Tim Palmer, who has worked previously during 2005's "Dark Light" and 2007's "Venus Doom".

"Basically, we're making what I'd call 'modern retro'.  We wanted it to be nasty, fucked-up, and messy, and have that punk-rock attitude. But then on the other hand, it would also have that Roy Orbison naive, sentimental, dream-like quality." -Ville Valo

1. Unleash The Red
2. All Lips Go Blue
3. Love Without Tears
4. I Will Be The End Of You
5. Tears On Tape
6. Into The Night
7. Hearts At War
8. Trapped In Autumn
9. No Love
10. Drawn & Quartered
11. Lucifer's Chorale
12. W.L.S.T.D.
13. Kiss The Void

"I think because he (Mika Kristian Karppinen) had the ailment, we had the opportunity to reassess what we had.  It was a minuscule existential crisis. We had to figure out what we really want to do and if we really like each other enough to continue through the hardest times - or do we want to call it a day?" -Ville Valo

As a bonus, the [very exclusive and very limited] "fanpack", which is presented by Metal Hammer magazine and DoubleCross Records features some content that is not-to-be-found-anywhere-else.  Exclusively available from April 29th and for the following four weeks, the "fanpack" comes with a bespoke 132-page magazine edited by frontman Ville Valo himself that plays as the ultimate sleeve notes to the album, including:

* Full studio album + 2 bonus tracks ("Buried Alive By Love" and "The Kiss Of Dawn" recorded live in the studio)
* Giant double-sided door poster
* Exclusive interviews with Ville Valo and all members of HIM
* An extended track-by-track guide to "Tears On Tape"
* An interview with the architects behind the sound of "love metal" Hiili Hiilesmaa and Tim Palmer
* A detailed guide to HIM's extensive back catalog
* The true, exclusive story of the Heartagram
* An exclusive gallery from the band's own private collections
* Interviews by the band with as assortment of their own heroes

If you want to hear how the new material will sound on the live scale, then be sure to catch HIM on a limited North American tour at the following stops:

Leaks will come soon enough. I'm willing to bet we hear the entire album by mid April. I'm gonna try to hold off, and only listen to official releases.

I'm sure your bank will correct the issue...hopefully.

I'll order later today when I get home.
It took almost two weeks to get my money back. It seems many other people had the same problem with being charged multiple times.

I don't think she's heard it. Obviously they send out promotional copies for review, but I don't think they're sending them out to random nobodies like her.

I think she's just trying to capitalize on the popularity of the band to get more visits on her website.

I just can't understand why a record company would wanna send her an album to review when she doesn't write anything about it that any of us could've written.

But why she choose to be Negative, instead Positive...? She could write "this is the best fuckin' album I've ever heard.." and we would talking in different way about her review...  ???

I didn't read it as positive or negative; it's a very neutral review. A very safe route to take considering she hasn't heard the album.

Cory's comment sure had me dying laughing though...  ;D

The "site" makes me want to vomit. It's all vapid shit that anyone who knows the least bit about the music in question could spit out. That said, if you're gonna make shit up...go for the gold. Rate each track. Make up more shit.

Exactly. If you're going to attempt to fool people, at least put some effort into it. Even if it's complete bullshit, people don't know that yet, so you can make up whatever you want that at least sounds reasonable.

"Hearts At War starts off with a subtle keyboard harmony, then quickly changes over to a dark, powerful guitar riff that will remind listeners of the band's first full-length effort."

I just wrote a better review right there in five seconds.

I believe her.  She sounds like she knows what she's talking about.   :P

I doubt anyone has the album this early.  Though she claims to be working with Revolver magazine, so there's always a slight possibility.

I could barely read the damn grey font against the black background.  My old eyes can't take it.

P.S.
My bank now shows a cleared charge for the fan edition.

Mine cleared right away on statement and everything. I actually emailed them and asked about expedited shipping. Because I always did that with the Warner album orders and got them a head of street date but, they said they didn't do that...
