I think it sounds like the idea sound to compliment Venus Doom, but I can see that if you really liked the gritty, doomy sound of VD that you might consider this not quitye as good.

But again, there's a whole album to come.

This happens every time we get a taste of a new album, people saying they don't like it and make comments like "it's too Americanized" or "I wanna blow my brains out". This happened for VD and previous albums. Once we all heard the full album everyone changed their opinions. It's rather comical.

A few things to keep in mind:
It's only a 30 second clip from 1 song out of 13 on the album.
The clip is of the chorus which is supposed to be the "catchy" part of the song so of course it might sound Americanized/Industrialized or whatever the hell you wanna call it, but don't go judging the whole song until you hear it in it's entirety.

I wouldn't depend on just one person to record it. I'd rather have 10 people record it than just 1 and have something go wrong cause then we're left with nothing.
