'Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights' is one of the best album titles ever
with that being said, i'm pretty sure they will change the new album title to something else
razorblade romance was originally called 'slippery when dead', if im not mistaken
also, the name doesnt affect the way they record the music
'razorblade romance' and 'slippery when dead' sound like two completely different bands, let alone albums
and all they did was change the name of the album, after they had recorded it.

im not too concerned, but i will be very upset if that is the name of the next him album in my collection

slippery when dead was just a throwback to the bon jovi album...slippery when wet...because ville has always said they have elements of bon jovi...

but not only was it to be named it...they had some promo shit for it...IE: shirt and stickers i believe...hard to find...but theres a few out there....

Is HIM the type of band that goes into the studio with all the songs written, or only some written?

I don't know, but I hope they have most of the songs written, cause that would mean the recording process will go by fast, and we'll just have to wait ages for the mixing of the album.

**EDIT:
Just was going through Matt Squire's Twitter page and he was have a conversation with Bert McCracken of the Used. Seems as though he (Matt) has heard the demo's of the new songs and quite likes them.

@bertmccracken champagne on ice...yea, HIM is next. demos are amazing. i'm really excited.

Last time around the stuff started leaking about 2 or 3 months before the release of the album. If they're still planning a February release (I'm not sure where I heard that though) then we might have something November/December time. The band was very friendly with the promotional leaks for Venus Doom.

talks a bittt about the new album...kind of gives you a bit of insight...i guess...

and its said that their basically aiming to release the new album on valentines day 2010.

not necesarily feb 14th (i think?) but around that time...

shit...just watch the damn interview.

Nah, that seems way too early, if the album is supposed to released around mid february the first single will probably come out december-january. At least this is what happened with venus doom's singles

Yeah, you're right. I tacked an extra month on there...I was going by Dark Light, and I for some reason thought it came out in October, not September.
