It was more of an educated guess than a wild/random one. They had their reasons for it.

For some reason I thought that would be a link to a new song or something. This cd needs to leak now. :/

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00367OALO/ref=dm_sp_alb?ie=UTF8&qid=1264654263&sr=8-8

Previews of all the tracks are up!!!

So yeah, totally IN LOVE WITH Acoustic Funeral and Dying Song!
That said, I'm digging pretty much all of the clips. Scared To Death is ALOT poppier than it sounds live...not sure what I think of it. Foreboding Sense sounds rad. VERY synthy. Upon hearing at least bits of all the tracks the one thing I can say is that there is a lot of 80's sound. Screamworks is shaping up to be a spiritual successor to Razorblade Romance in my eyes.

LOL! I was telling myself earlier today that I was not going to listen to any leaks. So far, I've still held strong. If Amazon puts out official clips, then those are not leaks, but planned promotional tools, right? Same goes for listening to St. Valentines and Shatter Me With Hope. Those were officially put out as promotional materials, so dammit, the band meant for me to hear those at this point!

Tracks I Love (that we haven't heard yet):
In Venere Veritas
Ode To Solitude
The Foreboding Sense Of Impending Happiness

Overall Opinion:
Seems to be very "ballad-y". Almost a hybrid between Razorblade Romance (the guitar and drums) and Deep Shadows & Brilliant Highlights (the overall song structures and themes), maybe with a splash of Dark Light.

I really like what I've heard in these samples, and I can't wait for the release/leak.

Track by track, here's my rundown...you know I couldn't hold out, lol.

In Venere Veritas (In Sex There Is Truth?)
- I dig it...could have fit easily on Dark Light.

Scared to Death
- Like Daedalus said, it's way more poppy than I thought.  The jury's still out...

Heartkiller
- My original thought: "When did Ville join the All American Rejects?"

Dying Song
- I love it...so 80's...

Disarm Me
- Man, I can totally see this song being played on my local pop channel that "spins" songs 45 times a day.  :'(

Love the Hardest Way
- I love the synths on this one...

Katherine Wheel
- Me No Likey....

In The Arms of Rain
- Something along the lines of what we'd expect from HIM...not bad at all.

Ode To Solitude
- The Jonas Brothers want their song back...

Shatter Me With Hope
- Awesome...more synthy and faster than the remix from the Heartkiller single.

Acoustic Funeral
- A ballad along the lines of what we'd expect.  It's good.

Like St. Valentine
- May be the most outright love metal rocker of the album.

The Foreboding Sense of Impending Happiness
- Take Too Happy To Be Alive and change the lyrics, only take out the badassness of THTBA

Fuck love metal, this is love pop.  Though this is only a 30-second sample...

Holy shit, I'm loving these clips, a few not as much as the others (Ode to Solitude) but In the Arms of Rain and Acoustic Funeral are awesome.

Still think Like St. Valentine is my favorite so far and I am also listening to Shatter Me With Hope, but I can't wait for the leaked cd to see if my thoughts change with the whole album.

Scream me a dream untouched by shadow...

Ok, so here's what I think about it.
In Venere Veritas - Dark Light-like song indeed. Not bad.

Scared to Death - just like I thought after hearing live recording, it sucks. Lacks the power, lacks guitars, it seems booooring.

Heartkiller - well, I hoped it's one of the poppiest songs. Hell no, compared to the rest it's one of most rocking... That tells a lot.

Dying Song - another very DarkLightish song. Reminds me of Under The Rose. I'm waiting for the full song, may be good.

Disarm Me - seems like Scared to Death Pt. 2. Only this time there's some guitar, and look how much better it is!

Love The Hardest Way - Right Here In My Arms + Dark Light = LTHW. Seems ok. I really like that it's quite pacey. There's some RHIMA-like power, and that's great.

Katherine Wheel - need to listen full song, but so far nothing special. Poppy, it doesn't sound like HIM.

In The Arms of Rain - another un-HIM-ish song. I'm not amazed.

Ode To Solitude - it's poppy, it's American, but I quite like it. Cool guitar, but it would be nice if Ville voice was lower.

Shatter Me With Hope - it's good, probably one of the best. Still, album version lacks the edge of Hiili's mix. If not the "Scream me a dream" part, I'd say I like Sword of Democles more, but because of it I'm not sure which is the better :P Love the solo.

Acoustic Funeral - finally a ballad that isn't boring. It's good, it's kinda heavy (again, compared to the rest), I'm really curious how the whole song sounds.

Like Saint Valentine - I've said it before - I'm in love with it. Fast, rocking, I'd say even punky. Definitely the best Screamworks song.

The Foreboding Sense of Impending Happiness - it's a song? Where's the music then?

Ok, those are only previews, but so far Jay is right - it's fucking love-pop... If full songs will be the same, it's gonna be first HIM album I'm not buying. But I still have the feeling that acoustic CD will be awesome and maybe I'll get special edition because of it ;) Since CDs are very expensive here, and I'm not so good with cash these days, I'm buying Poisonblack "Of Rust And Bones" first (it's produced by Hiili!) and then we'll see.
For my name is sorrow and I'm a friend of misery
I deprived myself of love for eternal agony
And I don't even dare to try - I know I can only lose
Between this life I live and nothing I have to choose

After listening... i can say i like Heartkiller though i thought it'll be the shitiest song on the album. Changed my mind. Ok  i was becoming pretty excited after listening to saint valentine (which from the title i thought this would be the popiest song....) and SMWH... now disapointed again. Im already thinking about next from Screamworks.. what will they be doing then...another... ehh wtever. ;D For me it's like Deep Shadows... which I 'hated' the most.. except HEM and maybe...hmm.. no just HEM

In the Arms of Rain...i love't...
somehow In Venere Veritas sounds me really cool....

i think the lyrics and the especially the chorus makes the album poppy  the instrumentals sounds heavy...
however all songs sounds good to me...

i love every single track.

well, some are a lil too poppy for my taste, but still they are great songs to just listen to.

agreed, Like St. Valentine is the best song on the album.
