Question: Is it bad that I still want the album to leak, even though I pre-ordered the limited edition and spent $50 on this album?

if anyone finds the new album please let me know  ::) :P

Hey can anyone help me with this? Is this the same as the limited edition on heartagram with the bonus acoustic disk?
http://www.amazon.com/Screamworks-Love-Theory-Practice-Him/dp/B0030BOCEG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1261916777&sr=8-1  If it is its 1/2 price. Thanks for the help.

as i understood....
it is not cheaper...
it says :

" Frequently Bought Together

Customers buy this album with Screamworks: Love in Theory & Practice ~ Him
Screamworks: Love in Theory & Practice (Bonus CD)    +    Screamworks: Love in Theory & Practice
Price For Both: $36.97"

which means that this is the 1st disc... and that people usually buy together with this one the 2nd acoustic bonus disc.... and that the price for both is $36.97.
so.. it is not cheaper  ;)

Amazon lists both the single disc and double disc versions. What you are paying for on Heartagram is essentially the lithograph, and perhaps an extra bonus that has not been named.

Ok.. just let me make sure I got it. The limited edition on on Amazon 17.99 should have the bonus disk (for some reasons its listed as 1 disk, thats why i'm confused) (no litho/nothing else)

the heartagram version bonus disk/litho,/poss. extras 34.99
or

the vinyl (+bonus cd) $18.98

thanks again and thanks for your patience, i feel like an idiot at the moment + karma for you both for the help

Don't feel like an idiot.  HIM is confusing with all their editions.   ;)

i got confused now... but anyway... 34$ is not that much... it is 23 Euro... and it is a double cd with a poster or whatever...
i got my Dark Light internet only edition for at least 30 Euro and it was a single cd with 1 bonustrack and another stupid HIM-laser thing ...

i just realised how much 34$ are... :P i think i may pre-order it too :P

Don't forget about the shipping costs too when calculating prices.
I pre-ordered two copies cause I will give one to my sister and the shipping costs were $15.99 so the total package with two copies was $85.97 which is roughly 60 euro. 30 euro for a "limited edition" album with the limited lithograph is OK I suppose (although still expensive)... :)

I don't think I'll order the special edition with the cover print, it looks like a waste of money to me. I'll just wait until February and buy the normal cd + the acoustic disc.

thats exactly what I'm thinking. The litho would be nice but my hours @ work haven't been good lately need to tighten the belt

i think so Jen- if you type the title in on Amazon- 3 versions pop up-limited edition (*listed as 1 disk but the consensus is its both), vinyl + bonus cd, and then a very cheap one (prob the standard 1 disk)

and  the limited version from heartagram (only) comes with the litho print

Ok, just to clarify coz now I'm confused... so far there are two versions, right?

Standard one disc / Limited two disc

...and the only difference about the Limited 2 disc, is if ordered from Heartagram you might get the litho print?
its what i know too,
the normal edition with 13 tracks!!!!
and the limited edition with the bonus CD Baudaliere in braile

other online sites have the ltd editon on sale, with a bonus cd, and all the songs of the album acoustic in that bonus cd
the EAN number is the same than te one in heartagram.com, so must be the same
but only in heartagram include the litho print

there is more that one site that have listed one vinyl LP version for the album

I believe this limited edition is the best HIM has given us yet. I just wonder if the acoustics will be the whole band playing or just Ville playing acoustic by himself. I likethe former, but whatever it is, it will be good.

I didn't think about that...just thought of Ville only like DSBH and LM era...but oh my god the whole band like For You, It's All Tears....that would be sooooooo good.  :)

As a guitarist, I think I'd prefer just Ville acoustics. But if they did it with the whole band like
, I think that would be cool too.

me, as a guitarist prefer Linde on guitars, this allows melodic riffs like the intro on It's All Tears acoustic, and much more intense vocals  :)

An interesting interview that was published today:

HIM Hopes 'Screamworks' Hooks New Fans

Two things caught my eye:

1) Ville's quote about being sober:
"I quit drinking -- not for good but for awhile -- about two and a half years ago," he says.

Does he plan on starting up again? I don't know how I feel about that.

2) Quote about the 80's sound and synthesizers on the album:
"In the past we used synthesizers to emulate real instruments -- piano and strings and all that," Valo notes. "This time we wanted all the synths to sound like synths. It's a pretty 80s album for us, but I grew up in the 80s and I love the 80s because the 80s, musically, was about melody and huge choruses. That's very essential for me."

I love how the people at Heartagram say "limited run" all the time, and yet, you can still buy the Venus Doom book, and the flip book Digital Versatile Doom package. Those lithographs will be in stock well into 2012.

My only fear is that some random track will only be included in the Heartagram version. I felt a little jipped paying essentially an extra $15-20 for that Venus Doom book so I could get another version of Bleed Well.
