Agreed. Something that represents the contents therein is what I'm looking for. Love Metal's cover was perfect, because it was simple, it was Love Metal. haha

I'm pretty confident that Matt Squire did a good job on this record. For some reason i think he is just what they needed i've researched some other stuff he has worked on and it seems he makes the records sound the way the artist wants them to sound whether it be a alt. group or a rock group. on another note the tracklisting doesn't scare me at all it is refreshing at the least to see Ville is opening up and exploring more artistic avenues. from what i gather by the song names the lyrics still seem to have that melancholic atmosphere to them, along with the yin/yang vibe (as usual with Mr.Valo). the track i am most interested to hear is Katherine Wheel, i knew it sounded familiar and i googled it and found out it was a medieval torture device in which they martyred St. Catherine. seems to be alot of religious symbolism again which is another aspect i like Ville does great with that stuff. sorry for such a long post but i felt the need to spew my opinion. i'd like to hear other people's predictions as well. later guys :)....and gals ;)

I totally agree, I am as excited as hell for this album.  It seems like its going to be a real HIM record, lots of experimental stuff but still with the trademark sound we all love.  I feel more confident about this album than I did before Venus Doom (and don't get me wrong I LOVE that record).

FINALLY!!!! SOME REAL NEWS TO TALK ABOUT ON THE SITE!

cover art= A+. as much as i enjoyed Ville on the cover, that made it all about him. since love metal its always been a 'collective band.' I dig the new cover. I'm still figuring on what VD cover was all about. This one, we've have either a nun or a masquerade mask that is two-faced.

track titles= i wont judge completely. I remember thinking the tracks on VD were too corny and they turned out amazing. (songs in bold already have my interest)
1. In Venere Veritas
2. Scared To Death
3. Heartkiller
4. Dying Song
5. Disarm Me (With Your Loneliness)
6. Love, The Hardest Way
7. Katherine Wheel
8. In The Arms Of Rain
9. Ode To Solitude
10. Shatter Me With Hope
11. Acoustic Funeral (For Love In Limbo)
12. Like St. Valentine
13. The Foreboding Sense Of Impending Happiness
But we will see. I think the 1st track is interesting because veritas means truth. venere is either venus or the godess of love.

calender= I haven't like any of the calenders or posters of the band in a long while. everyone is right when asking... where the hell is the rest of the band!? im not a homophobe, im from l.a. so I love the gays, but having a giant picture of ville lying in a bed shirtless or w.e. just doesnt work for me. Gas shirtless.....well that's another story, lol

sorry for the long post. Just a very longtime dedicated fan with a few things on his mind.

Nice cover, it looks pretty special but I had smth else in mind when I heard about a present from Ville on his own birthday. I hope by Christmas our hearts will be delighted with some samples from the new album.

I dunno, a few of the VD titles weren't too bad.

The new album cover's not grown on me yet though,
for me the last really good album cover was ALSN (or the uneasy listening ones, though they're not main albums).
