Something interesting on this week's radio bam
« on: February 13, 2008, 03:35:56 PM »
Bam played "Shine" a supposed HIM demo from the Razorblade Romance era...however what he played was just Endless Dark 616. I wonder, was ED a demo from way back in the Razorblade era? He said he found the song on an old ipod that he had, and that no one's ever heard the song...but obviously we all have.

-It is possible, for example PKF is also an older song from before RR

-Why if he never heard the song, and found it on an old i-Pod, he remembers the title (ok, possible with tags) and that it is from the RR-era?

-You can always change titles but on UL vol.II:
The DSBH demos are called "Hollola-tapes" (Because of the studio)
The LM demos (BABL and ED) "616 version"
I guess the tapes/version part refers more to the same recording session then to the same album. So in that case BABL and ED are from the same recording.
And BABL isn't from the RR-era

-The BABL and ED demo sounds the same and more LM like the RR
It sounds more LM-style then RR-style or the RR demo style like Too Happy To Be Alive

-And because the RR demo's are recorded with a drummachine, who can hear it?
I say, the ED demo is Gas

I'd say Bam made a mistake or tries to be interesting
And if he didn't knew that the ED demo is already known, it is cool that he shares it

He may have meant to say it was a demo from the Love Metal era. I can buy that ED's original name may have been "Shine". Heres the clip of Bam introducing it...

Yes. That song had already been available for years, though, so it wasn't really that "hard to find" as Bam described it.

like...instrumentals, demos, rough drafts...im sure he's got some stuff that will never ever see the light of day.

but i dont think hes got this crazy vat of shit.

hes a cocky little bitch, so whatever he has, hes just waiting to be "the first one to release it"

but do u think that bam really got a hold of that stuff? that ville really did pull out his USB stick and gave it to bam??
i dunno, maybe, but i cant really see it happening...

ohhhhh, bam, i dislike and envy you at the same time

edit: Actually, i cant even visualize ville owning or using a laptop haha...
i thought he said he hated technology... if anyone has a picture of ville on his laptop, please share
i imagine i would have quite a laugh

I'm sure Bam has a few things we don't, and will probably never have unless somebody steals his ipod or laptop, which is possible considering how many random people are said to be around his house at all times.

My guess is that most of his "secret" stuff is acoustic shit Ville's done for him.  For instance, the two tracks we have of The Sacrament and Solitary Man that Ville recorded in Bam's room, and that acoustic snippet of Vampire Heart that was on that MTV special that Bam had.  Especially considering the fact that Bam has a video camera rolling just about every second of the day.

'Shine'.... Sounds cool. Maybe he said truth and just made mistake in album titles? I don't know what to think about it...
For my name is sorrow and I'm a friend of misery
I deprived myself of love for eternal agony
And I don't even dare to try - I know I can only lose
Between this life I live and nothing I have to choose

Suggesting it's a demo back from 666WTL seems far-fetched. Everything about that song reeks of RR, plus it feels so out of place next to the other songs from that era.

Having heard him mention his laptop on many occasions, I'm pretty sure Ville does indeed own and use one. Haven't got a picture, though, sorry. :P

I think it's Uncle Matt And The Shitbirds.
Shitbirdz plays acoustic songs quite a lot on Radio Bam...most of them bring me to tears. There was talk about an Uncle Matt And The Shitbirds album called Greatest Shitz but it's hard to tell if it was just a joke...

Hope that helps.
