I'm fed up with this number. There are too many HIM songs that contain it: For You, Your Sweet Six Six Six, Dark Secret Love, Sleepwalking Past Hope and Rebel Yell (the Billy Idol cover). What do you ppl think?

It's been a common theme for them, i personally like it alot. It's stupid that people take the number so serious, so i like that HIM have kinda dumbed it down with regular use.

Yeah, they use it so much that it loses alot of the taboo surrounding it. I'm fine with it though.

I think 666 is a decent reference to make in their music. isn't it supposed to be paradoxical? the love of God and the hate of the devil... at least thats my take on it.

Agree, It almost wouldn't be right if they stoped using it it, since it's been there from the start.. it's like taking away the heartagram o.O

Sometimes its okay, but sometimes it annoys me. I especially hate when u hear them live and he says it instead of 1,2,3,4. Sometimes u can hear it on live versoins the Sacrament, Passions killing floor....he says it like "....Shixx shixx shixxx go" hahaha. That just annoys me

So now 666 is a HIM brand just like the heartagram? I don't mind them using it but they could try to be more original once in a while, repeating themes doesn't mean they stay the same ol' HIM but shows lack of new ideas.

it's only a number and ville has been more creative lately when it comes to using 666 when he used the number 616 as a substitute. i suggest you check out and love said no 616 version or endless dark 616 version.

If you are talking about that part before the guitar solo i can bet you a thousand bucks that is not "six six six girl", but "SIX SIX SIX GO"! I`ve listened to so many different live versions after i read your comment and it aint "girl",but "GO"

But back on topic:
I dont think they use to much 666 in their music,because it has only been used in like 5 songs and in "For You" for example its mentioned just twice in the song. And i think the use of "666" in their music suits their lyrical asbect very good

The way that I see it is just another way to say how evil love is, and women in general.
Yes, Ville is acknowledging that it is evil, but in a fitting way. I quite enjoy it, and it's something to rub in the nay-sayers' smug over-churched faces.

I think it's great they use 666....at least that's controversial but Ville had said that it doesn't means A LOT for him....just a number wich represents something in HIM's Lyrics.
