No, I wasn't talking about life and when u get old. I was referring to Sleepwalking Past Hope. It's the best track on VD in my opinion but from the 8th minute to the tenth it's crappy, it's like they wanted to make the song longer and they extended it in an awkward way with a strange sound and Ville's voice.

yes, You are absolutely right I had the same feeling while I was listening to this track. The song is very good but needs an more original ending. I must say that because of this boring ending it isn't my favorite song on the album.

I think we all thought the same thing about this song....I like it a lot and It's one of my favourites in the album but the ending is not too good enough for this song...

Anyway, it's never gonna be a single, though I'd like that. I bet that if it was a single, in the radio edit they would cut mostly from that "beautiful" and "intriguing" ending.

the ending to me is similar the the end of Love's Requiem, and so it is a great one, just like Love's Requiem

Love's Requiem ends similar to how it starts, in a calm way... and before that is an intertwining of "The heart of darkness is hope of finding you there/And that hope will be our love's requiem" and "Take me into your arms/And sing me your beautiful song/Hold me until we're one/And sing me your beautiful song"... If you were referring to this intertwining, I believe it's great and at least it has words attached to it not just confusing sounds. I can't find that similarity u were talking about.

if it wasn't there it would be like eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich without the jelly. it's still good and everything, but now you don't have the jelly to counterbalance the adhesiveness of the peanut butter.
The ending does the song justice, it just wouldn't be as amazing without it.

I should listen to Venus Doom again, havent listened to it in about a week... I'm jonesing! From memory I liked the ending to Sleepwalking though.

the ending is a major part of the whole song...it's like a transition from soft and sentimental music to becoming more of a jam hard rock band. it fits perfectly into the song
