I have no idea why this song has yet to be played live, there is almost no reason musically...but I guess its like The Path...amazing, beautiful, epic....but almost ignored by the band.

Well, when I started this thread, this was my alltime favourite song.

I still love it a lot and still think it deserves its own thread. Instead of flooding VD thread with this song, they should have their own threads.

There is something special about this song. Seems that everytime it plays, I just sit and listen without doing anything. It's very captivating.

Though, why is it being said that they will never play this live? They should!

I'm not really into this song. For me, Venus Doom only has eight tracks because I always end up skipping Cyanide Sun. I don't know why they would ever play this song live. It doesn't seem to me like a good live song.

when the album came out and i couldnt afford it i downloaded it but had a REALLY bad download and made me hate the song. as soon as i got the album i really enjoyed it but i dont think its their best song on the album by a long shot.

Cyanide Sun is one of the best songs from the album, my favorite part from it is "I'll be drowning you, in this river of gloom forever in my heart."

i really hadn't even noticed this song ... i mean... it passed unnoticed! i personally don't like venus doom that much, but there are some tracks that stand out like Sleepwalking past hope...
definetely not Cyanide Sun... (for me )

it was a great song just i think it belongs on love metal with fortress of tears and all the other slow songs, venus doom was such a great hard rock album
