I picked up the October issue today at work and lo and behold, a review of Venus Doom!

Didn't have much to say regarding the album. Bah.

I'm going to take this review with a grain of salt. I'm not entirely sure about their credibility.

WWE magazine is credible. Ish. I mean, these are the same people that "killed" Vince McMahon after all. Still it's neat and odd to see them reviewing a HIM album.

Well, I know in most cases, when a specific entertainment branchlet expands its horizons and tries to cover a whole other spectrum, they're weak in the latter.

I visit IGN all the time to read their video game news and reviews, but their movie and music reviews are pretty sad to say the least.

I mean, I obviously can't refute his review because, one, he didn't really say anything, and two, I haven't heard the album yet.

I guess we'll see...

Yeah. I am gonna check Metal sites and whatnot for reviews, because there were reviews for Poisonblack's Lust Stained Despair album (awesome by the way) 2 weeks or more before it came out.

Yeah, I hope you guys aren't actually relying on reviews of VD to determine if it's good or not. Listen to the songs already out there and the clips of the others and make your own determination. Just like how all of us determined that Dark Light kinda sucked, all on our own

Poor review. It was better not to write, than doing that.

I can't wait for the album. The snippets sound amazing.

Yes, but we knew that the album wasn't being released till July and then the delay.
If the album doesn't fit the expectations it'll be the more frustrating album ever to me.

Of course. It just doesn't hurt to read a few positive reviews a couple weeks before the album is released to fuel the hype train.

I'm reserving judgment until I've heard the whole thing from start to finish, but I like what I've heard so far.

WWE is World Wrestling Entertainment. They have a monthly magazine that's pretty much all about wrestling but they also include a few pages of music/movies/video game stuff.

They sent out tons of promos. Reviews will be up soon. It's still a bit too early.

Presume they did, but to be honest it is not as if the writers are employed to give an indepth analysis of CD's is it? Don't even know why they are in the magazine

Kinda poor/useless...it seems like something everyone could write without even listening to the album. I guess we'll have to wait for a proper review from a metal (or something) magazine.
