it just sounds like a contest just for street team, and it wont be changing the cover of the album. just who can design a fake cover.

i remember when korn did the art design for issues years ago. and that was open to everyone, to make teh cover. and 4 won, but only 1 was the real cover. others were limeted edition.

yeah I signed up for the street team a long time ago but I realizied I didnt really want to participate in it

I am hoping that if they do that its still a good cover

I dont mind the photo that ville chose

I designed a "new heartagram". It didn't turn out very well. Apparently my MS Paint skillz weren't good enough for them hoighty toighty record label folk.

Screw 'em.

that is awesome u should post that in the venus doom artwork thread. maybe ville will see it and get struck by inspiration and make it the title for the new album.

I know it's just a contest, but they have to be using whichever redesign gets picked in some capacity. There's a rumor going around that there's going to be more than just two special editions. If that turns out to be true, they could be using the redesign as the actual cover of one, and then maybe having the runner-ups' covers pictured inside of the booklet. Either way, it's just a way to make more money. Fuck them. Fan involvement is great when it's, for example, when they gave away tickets and backstage passes to the first person who cracked the code. When it comes to actual merchandise, though, it's almost degrading in a way.

warner in and of itself is just a shitty label and is in it for the all mighty dollar. they r oing to promote the hell out of this album to sell as much as possible

It's the street team... they have no influence on the band really at all. It's just some stupid contest. When I entered the "make the new heartagram" contest, I just sent them a picture of my tattoo.
