Is it me, or is it actually dropped D?

All I can think of more now is how the fuck can Linde hurt himself so much?
I have heard news that almost every vacation he has an injury here and there.
But to injure your arm so that Ville does most of the jamming in the rehearsals, how must that be for the album! hahaha.

I can only picture the Interview of Ville from the early stuff when he responded that he did the intro to "The Beginning of the End" (I want to say that). That he was waiting for Linde to show up, but in the end he ended up doing the intro himself, by using a used mini amp running through his pedal. Though Ville admits he want it to be "shitty" with low range sound running through the speaker since Linde was too good of a guitar player he decided to do it himself.

Those are the sort of odd things I like hearing in Interviews, the creation and the breakdown of songs.
Like Marilyn Manson has done one if not the oddest shit when it comes to recording.
Going out in a Thunderstorm in L.A. to sing the Fight Song vocally only to sound that heavy.
Playing a lead pipe against an aluminum thing for the song "You, Me and the Devil Makes Three".
To do the song of "Heart Shaped Glasses" was just the most bizarre I've heard and if you listen to his vocals he did a perfect job using his pipes to do the backings for the whole track through. That is pure talent.
Fascinating small details that many might not capture at first if you aren't into detailed recording like him.

if someone can tab tiny bit i can work from there on does sound detuned but not sure im liking the riffs and the breakdown

well here is the intro but tuned to baritone tuning cause that's what i play along to it with right at the moment but i have a feeling whoever said it was in drop d they might be on the right track i have a feeling it's drop d only half step down. but if you can tune your geet to the old him tuning and type o tuning you can play along to the cd with this and play around i'll do more tomorrow my first tab never did one before they are a pain in the ass to do. lol :) oh yeah po= pull off and h= hammer on and ~=bend

So I guess the whole HEAVIEST EVER thing doesnt apply to Passion's Killing Floor?... It's a good song though... Except Ville's singing before the chorus. He starts out fine then it just gets annoying. Not Jyrki69 annoying, but still.

IGN reviewed the Transformers soundtrack, and they had interesting things to say about PKF.
"Of course in true soundtrack style, there's a few leftfield choices tossed in for good measure. In this case there's European goth/glam/metal maestro HIM comes with a Billy Idol-meets-Sisters of Mercy slant on "Passions Killing Floor," a bombastic slab of down tempo gloom pop. It's atmospheric beyond belief, that's for sure. "

They also listed thier favorite songs off the album, with PKF being the top choice!

"Definitely Download:
1. "Passions Killing Floor" - HIM
2. "Second To None" - Styles of Beyond
3. "End of the World" - Armor For Sleep
4. "Technical Difficulties" - Julien-K
5. "Transformers Theme" - MuteMath"
Come love me 'till it hurts, dance the neon noir with me.

Actually I got a bit disapointed over the new song and like someone said earlier about WOAB, that's the first thing that popped up in my head when I heard the intro riff. Other than that, it reminds me of Face of God.

So yes! The whole songs smells Dark Light and the only thing I actually like about this song is the bridge-thing at the end. The lyrics are a bit cheezy to...

I Really hope that, when Ville said that this album was going to be really heavy, he wasn't pointing at some 15sec bridges in the songs. I thought he said this album was going to be more like GLS666, but this song aint even near it! if you don't count those 15sec's or so in that ass kicking bridge.

If the rest of the songs gonna stink as much as this one, HIM is going way down... wich is really fucking sad!

I really do hope that the rest of the songs are gonna blow my fucking head away and be so good I have to listen to the songs til' my ears explode... i really do. But hearing this song makes me a bit nervous...

And HIM music has never been heavy enough to blow your head up, so you may want to look elsewhere haha.

HAHA, "how much harder" that was a bit mutch ::)
The chourse is poppy as hell and so is the rest, except the middle part that is a bit "doomy"
But i still think the song is starting to get a bit catchy :o

If people aren't happy with this after DL.  Then they're not gonna be happy with HIM.

This song has been dubbed the poppiest one by Ville himself.  The fact the doomy bridge has been pointed out proves the fact its a heavier song.

Well, what I think anyway  :D

Jen, you are right about Transformers. I'm kinda shocked they are gonna be on that soundtrack. I wonder if the song will turn up in the movie???

I have herd that it will be played in the movie, THATS SO AWSOME!

Yeah I totally agree with that but what I mean is that HIM aren't going to go back to that exact grittier GLS feel because of production values and a change over the times.

However, what this album will be is something that will be pushing the limits of the newer HIM sound.  Hopefully that means a really rough, heavier album, we'll have to see.

Actually, I think it appears in the credits. I don't know how far in, but I've seen someone on a Transformers message board say that they heard it during them. I think a majority of the songs from the soundtrack get played during the credits. Another one of those, for sure, is Doomsday Clock. There's several websites out there that, when listing the tracklisting for the soundtrack, tell which songs are in the movie and which aren't. HIM have always been listed as being in it. I'm not completely sure because it just came out for the general public in the US the other day, and I don't even wanna see it to be honest. Haha. Maybe just out of curiosity to see what the craze is all about. I never played with Transformers when I was little.

It plays in the scene where Sam is laying down on his bed in his room. Just the music, no vocals.

You can barely hear it. The credits for the song do appear during the end credits though, so the song is definetly there.
