Although Warner could be doing a better job of getting singles out to americans,
that'd be fairer and better for everyone, anyone agree or am I making a cunt of myself?

Record labels just don't release singles in the U.S. Occasionally they do, but usually only for special occasions such as American Idol winners and the like. Import is the only way to go.

cd shopping sucks

Specially when you wait all week for one to come out and the damn store runs out before you get a copy.

Not even that, just cd shopping in general here, no good cd's and all the good imports cost like $40.
