It's heavier than I expected... Reminded me of some Love Metal songs but with heavier guitars and the drums are just awesome! The production and mastering are really shining!!!

But it's not a new GLV666, Miltos?

Since it's watermarked, did it say that stupid shit throughout the songs like: "This recording is the property of HIM: Helsinki, Finland"?

I believe the watermark is an ID tag unique to each disc.

If that were the case couldn't someone just record it through an analog device? Their is probably hidden watermarks (skip, crack, pop) scattered throughout the tracks one wouldn't realize were watermarks.

Unless I'm mistaken, the tag is digital. If thats true, the tag wouldn't be found on an analog recording. Therefore it couldn't be tracked. There has to be some type of audible watermark...

Indeed the promo CDs are digitally "watermarked"... I don't know how the identification works but I wouldn't risk it! :P
About the album being a "new" GLSV666... No, nothing can top that at least for me... But I believe it's WAY better than Dark Light and even Love Metal as far as I can remember!!!
I NEED to listen to it again!!!

Oufff... I just came home after a live show that me and my band had in a very good local club... I'm so satisfied with all the nice comments we got and the atmosphere was great too!  ;D

Anyway, I'm off to bed now... In a few hours I will leave for one week of vacation with my parents so I will be absent from the forum...

Take care everybody and see you soon!

Well I stopped by the Street Team Network booth at Warped today to pick up some HIM material and noticed something interesting on the stickers. I'm guessing this confirms the rumors of "Kiss Of Dawn" being the first single.

(I posted this in the "Passion's Killing Floor" thread too - but maybe this thread is more appropriate)

H.I.M. To Film New Video This Month

Finnish goth metallers H.I.M. will film a new video on Thursday, June 21 and/or Saturday, June 23 in the Los Angeles area. Directing the clip will be Meiert Avis, who has previously worked with U2, AVRIL LAVIGNE, JENNIFER LOPEZ and BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, in addition to helming H.I.M.'s "Wings of a Butterfly" video. The production team put out a casting call for the clip this week and will hold auditions on Tuesday (June 19), looking for "a beautiful girl (model type) to perform in the lead role of the video."

As previously reported, a brand new H.I.M. track, entitled "Passion's Killing Floor", will be included on the soundtrack album to Michael Bay's "Transformers", due on July 3 via Warner Bros. The disc will feature a total of 12 tracks, nine of which are brand new and exclusive to the soundtrack.

"Passion's Killing Floor" comes off H.I.M.'s forthcoming album, "Venus Doom", due in North America on September 18. The band's sixth studio CD, which will arrive one day earlier internationally, was recorded at the Finnvox facility in Helsinki with producer Tim Palmer and was mixed in California. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Dead Lovers Lane" (video), "The Kiss of Dawn" and "Love in Cold Blood".

I am confused now as that quote suggests a proper release for PKF. If that's so then wouldn't KOD be the second release making the thing on the stickers strange.

Unless the video they mention is for KOD and the info was wrong  ???

I got four of those the other day. Hot topic was not promoting them, but a buddy of mine who works there  is into promoting all music industry, and mainly for the Project tour.

Yeah, I went to the Street Team Network tent and told them I was on the HIM street team and they gave me like 150 of the stickers. I'm gonna put some up around my campus.

I think they just killed all hope for me after that Black Sabbath song.
As much as I used to like them, they crushed that hope when they did that "amazing" cover.

From Wiki:
Venus Doom will be a 2-Disk release with one CD of music and a DVD of bandwork.

Anyone know anything about this?

How could any H.I.M. fan even think of saying "H.I.M. is dead"?

How is H.I.M. dead?

first of all its HIM son but if that floats your boat its cool..

second of all you have to admit that HIM isnt the same they've become more americanized ( i still like them dont get me wrong)
