so last night while i was drunk of my ass as it seem to be every night for a month now i was thinking about the title for the new album and i was thinking doesnt the saying say man are from mars woman are from venus?

venus doom = femaloes doom?

i dont i look to much into things when im drink

Well Venus Doom doesn't necessarily mean Female Doom. Venus is traditionally the god most synonomus with the female, and Valo has used references to it in "The Funeral Of Hearts" and obviously "Venus (In Our Blood).

Granted, the goddess Venus is also one of the gods generally associated with many of the current conspiray theories involving Jesus and the Church. So he may be referencing that.

I didn't like it.

But I do now.  From what we know about the sound and genre of the album (the rougher, darker, doomier sound) it seems "Venus Doom" is a good way of making you get that feel for the album.

It seems to me that Ville is only looking for 2 words to form an oxymoron and make up a title out of them. As always, it's the same old story. 
But this doesn't mean that I don't like this title...

Ville has the greatest sense of humour and his intelligence always shines throiugh. Don't you get it Venus (Goddess of Love) = Love and Doom is a genre of Metal so it is just another way of saying 'Love Metal' just a play on words so maybe he is hinting it is a return to that style of album let's wait and see.........

Or it could be a title HIM stole from themselves.
Their B Side shows that idea as it is.

Plus the idea if him saying that it will be the loudest Pop Album you have heard kind of makes me want to pick up Avril Lavigne's album and rock to that one better.

I was excited for Dark Light to come out and honestly it was a good album but could be better. Long time HIM fans need something to ROCK to now play the music while trying to fall asleep. Im a huge fan just like everyone else on this forum and i think we need something to turn up our volume, roll down our car windows and let the world know that HIM is alive!

We should start a new fake cover thread.  My favorite Dark Light cover was the one I made that had a black man grabbing a white girl's ass and her grabbing his ass.
