I like The Path on here. It sounds pretty neat.

im actally looking forward to this  being that dark light sounded nothing like most of the songs on the cd. maybe its the bands way of showing the fans who have been around longer that they still are the same band? or  just another thing to buy?

CD backside:

It's our Macs. Could someone rip the samples and post them?

Here (verzend.be (files to 1gb!)) or here (Bestsharing) are the 30 seconds versions of:
Close To The Flame - Rappula Tapes
Join Me In Death - Strongroom Mix
Lose You Tonight - Thulsa Doom Extended
One Last Time - Rockfield Madness Mix
The Path - P. S. Version
When Love And Death Embrace - Aor Mj Edit

It is the internetrip so it is in .wma (32 kbps)
and if that doesn't work it is also converted to .mp3 (192kbps)
.rar, 12 files, 4728kb
Not the best quality and only 30 seconds, so it is uneasy listening

Maybe this will push Universal to actually release the Love Metal Demos they keep promising us.

yep, i think its exactly the same, but on the pretending digipack the length of this track is 6:08 and on the album will be over 8 minutes, so probably its an uncut version of the same song

i hope for the love metal demos some day

on the sonybmg spanish site and one spanish radio says this:
Para Ville Valo, el líder de la banda finlandesa, "El Volumen 1 es música para escuchar los domingos por la mañana, mientras que el Volumen 2 es para bailar los sábados por la noche".

according to ville valo: " volume 1 is music to listen sunday mornings, meanwhile vol2 is to dance saturday nights"

first release, its the more sentimental on the collection, that will include rarities and unreleased versions of his previuos albums:  Greatest lovesongs, Vol. 666 (1997), Razorblade romance (1999), Deep shadows and brilliant higlights (2001) y Love metal (2003).

Con respecto al segundo volumen, la formación aún no desvelado ni su contenido ni la fecha exacta de publicación.

About the second volume, the formation (band, but must be sony) havent revealed his content or release date

i wont say this is 100% for same reasons
for example says that the label of the band is sony, when is the old label, for spain in the oficial site have 2 dates
26 and 31, but will be 31 because its tueday
and also says something more about the mixer and the recording place that seems to be copied from darklight

but seems the vol2 will be soon on 2007, and if its true that ville quote, the band already know about this, and sould be the dance mixes that we alreday know and probably some more new

i would prefer a love metal archive vol 2 or 3 with rare video stuff

As Jay said earlier about the Love Metal Demo's...
That would be amazing.
Mainly to get Rescue. That would complete me right there.

Or the demo to Love's Requiem. The first recording to that in only in Ville's possesion, not even Bam has it.

But yet it is nearly one of the first songs Ville had written.

Just listened to the soundbites and I can't wait for my cd.  I would love them to sound like this all the time.  It gives Ville's songs the real emotion they seem to lack when they are rocked up.  I am living in hope that their time in the musical wasteland until next October will see them emerge as the Doom Metal  band they have the potential to be as witnessed last New Year.  I already like this more than Dark Light which I rarely play - but then my previous favourite was DSABH.  Love Metal was the consummate commercial goth/rock album but Ville's writing is and voice is worthly of so much more than that.  Let's have more Aaron (My Dying Bride) Ville and less Goth Boy Band.  It is time they grew up and I get the feeling from recent concerts that they want to. ::)

(Jack Sparrow... yes "The Path's" got that "For You" thing about it, hasn't it ;D)

I'm in two minds about getting this cd now - think I probably will, especially if there really is a Vol 2 following it sometime soon.

:D  You dont forget about my favorite song do you!  ;D

Well I think I will wait for Vol 2.   You know? its gonna be a $15+ cd and there's only 5 or 6 unreleased versions.   mmmm also the cover is not that eye catching.

I think Love's Reqiuem is the first song Ville wrote. Maybe they demo'd it on Witches & Other Nightfears?

No doubt there is a "Love Metal" demo of it, but a 1992 demo would be unimaginable!

This is odd, today, Amazon put up the page for Uneasy Listening Vol 2, with this description and a release date.

Product Description
The second volume of this two part 2006 compilation featuring remixes and alternate versions of tracks that show the more aggressive side of the Finnish Goth Metallers, all released prior to their 2005 'breakthrough' album Dark Light. (Volume One, released separately, will feature alternate versions of their softer cuts). RCA.

Availability: This title will be released on October 31, 2006. Pre-order now. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com.

It is, but ya gotta remember that Universal is the one releasing it stateside. They are kinda dumb. Although apparently this particular version of Vol.2 isn't them. It's listed as "Import" with no record label listed, other than RCA, leading me to believe it's the U.K. version. Could just be them jumping the gun a bit on next years disc, or maybe, just maybe we will get Vol.2 later this year...
