Hi there everyone!

I haven't introduced myself before but i've been mostly a visitor to this site for a few years now. Basically I found HIM 2002 when they released RR and i've been a fan since. I would say they have been a big influence on my taste of music but before HIM there were Bad Religion, Pennywise and NOFX which have lead to Rise Against, Architects, Mad Caddies and so forth.... Anyways melodies and lyrics have always been a big deal for me. + there's that keyboard that's so addictive...

That was way longer that i was aiming for but i'm really looking forward to this new album, like most of us are

Cool to be here and i'll try to post more frequently.

edit:

I have to say that there aren't a lot bands like HIM that i listen to. mostly punk and skatepunk, like Off With Their Heads, The Menzingers, Gaslight Anthem, The Lawrence Arms an so on. But what's mutual about all of them is that they have mostly melancholic and relatable (is that a word) lyrics!

Greetings everyone!

I am a looong time stalker and "guest" and finally decided to create a profile, ha! I really just wanted to say thank you to whomever is in charge of running the site and this forum - you guys are doing a great job. I always enjoyed the no b.s. approach and have to give kudos to who ever compiled that huge list of the 100's of album releases for HIM. That has saved me money and heartache looking for stuff on eBay. Um, anyway, about me? I'm probably older than most on this site, but I don't care- rock and roll keeps me young at heart and HIM is certainly my favorite band. I live in Atlanta, GA and was headed to go to NYC for the 2 shows until....er, they were canceled. Still went to visit friends and had a good time nonetheless. Anyway, that's probably more than anyone wanted to know.

I was one of the first few people to join the forum as I recall. I remember being thrilled that I could just put my name, Sandy, as my username since usually simple names like that are never available by the time I join anything.
