When I first heard HIM they were allover the place, TV, radio, papers etc (here in Finland). First I didn't like band ... maybe because it sounded so differend from the other music that I listened to - much heavier than the other stuff of mine atleast. Well e.g. the 'join me' was good but still. And all this happened during the release of Razorblade romance-album. I still bought the album(s) though.

BUT it was Love Metal that really blew off my mind. First the album was just 'good', but the more I listened it, the more I loved it. It's such a simple rock'n'roll album. After this I started to collect every live recording that I possibly found from the Net and still doing that...

Somehow I totally skipped the 'deep shadows...' album eventhough I have that one too in my collection but still.

i heard of HIM in a spanish music channel where they were performing funeral of hearts and so i downloaded a few songs and then i lost them with some virus, and time later i heard join me on a local radio so from there and on i just downloaded songs until one day i found the razorblade romance album (the one from universal)

my first him album is greatest lovesong vol666, i found it in a record shop and i though that the picture was very gloomy so i buy it

M first HIM album was a bootleg OVERLOAD HITS including some songs from 3 first albums, Love Metal followed then,because of the song FOH.From witch I started to adore HIM.

razorbalde romance and it was piracy copy. at the time in my country never had HIM original cd's and i had to buy piracy. now i have all cd's (almost) original copys and this collection its the most important thing in my life

I had bits and pieces of all the albums scattered everywhere, I never used to be one for buying stuff. But I first bought ALSN...and then all the rest very quickly followed.

The first album I heard was DSBH. The first album I bought was the HER RR.

the first HIM album i got was DSBH dat was the album that got me into HIM and it still remains my favourite even tho i think all the albums they've released are great

i actually owned deep shadows first. had some sort of bootleg that made me mad to see the differences after i bought the real one.

First was Love Metal. I heard Buried alive by love on a Kerrang! sample CD, liked it, and bought the album. Then i bought a box set of razorblade romance, greatest love songs vol. 666, and deep shadows & brilliant highlights. Then i got singles and unreleased stuff (singles collection!), and now i'm getting alot of live bootlegs and stuff.

The first HIM cd i actually bought was DSBH but my first cd was Love Metal on cd-r.

Razorblade Romance was the first HIM album which i bought and it was piracy copy because here wasnt original copys. That was 2000 but now i have all cd's and singles in original formats.

I saw RR first, but where I'm from, it was never in any shop, so I ordered it. By the time they called and said it had come in, Love Metal just came out, so I bought that technically first while waiting for RR.

Greatest Love Songs was my 1st album in 1999, then in 2001 I found out two more albums came out since then, almost died, and bought RR and Deep Shadows

Well I bought Deep shadows, Razorblade and Love Metal all at the same time [*cough*moneybags*cough*] so I don't count it like that, First album I ever heard was Razorblade first song was 9th circle I downloaded it after hearing a few songs on the old HIM site before they had the shitty facelift.

I watched the video for Join Me and decided Ville Valo was the collest thing I'd ever seen, with the benefit of hindsight I realise I lead a sheltered life as a 16 year old.
