my first album i heard from a friend was razorblade.

first one i bought was darlight and then i went out and bought all their cds!

at first i hated them and the only cd i had that included them was the headbangers ball vol. 2 cd which had your sweet 666. i thought the song was so boring since i was into really heavy shit like slipknot and cradle of filth (still am into both bands) but then i would always hear my friends jason and aaron talk to them so i listen to right here in my arms off of limewire and i would play it over and over again and after getting used to that sound i grew to like your sweet 666 and i eventually went out and bought razorblade romance as the first album about 3-4 years ago.

The first thing I heard (seriously) from HIM was the first album. I still consider it the best album from the band and a pinnacle in the Gothic Metal genre (as it is something like 'October Rust' by Type O Negative).

I have the idea of hearing "Join Me" during HIM's European "boom" (how could you avoid it..?) but I was very young at the time so I don't really see it as my first contact with the band.

The first for me was Dark Light and then the Uneasy Listening Vol.2.

The previous albums were never released in Brazil. I had to import them all after.

First I bought was Dark Light but I'd already been exposed to their back catalogue for a couple of years by my dad and was pretty much in love with them by then.

Mine was love metal soon after its release. i knew about them before but didnt actually get into them until i bought that disc. best purchase ive ever made (aside from all the other HIM cds).

p.s. is the original finnish version of GLS666 rare??
cuz all the new ones have 'for you' as track 1 but mines the orriginal.
