My metal hammer fan pack arrived today with a hand signed postcard :D

I haven't gotten mine yet either, but I am kinda disappointed about the situation. They said initially that the FIRST 1000 would get it and then later said it was random. Kinda bullshit if you ask me.

That's annoying, i didn't get a signed card. I also ordered the fan pack literally after 10 or 20 minutes after the option to order became available. So if they never changed it to random i would've had myself a card. :/

I never saw anything on the page about the first 1,000 people getting a signed card. It was always my understanding it was random.

I could've swore it said the first 1,000 to begin with too, that's why I rushed to make my pre-order, but the site was so overloaded I had to wait until 2 or 3 in the morning just to get through. Regardless, there is no way that I was not one of the first 1,000. If I don't get a postcard, I'll be upset, but I'm more upset that they didn't even ship my order until the 29th, and if it's anything like the hardcover magazine, it's going to take forever to get here or might not even show up at all.

I'm definitely part of the 1k people who ordered first, and I don't have one. So now i don't think it matters if you were among the first thousand.

I thought they also said that if you ordered, your name or something would be incorporated into the artwork?
Also, in that video where they were signing the cards, they said it'd be random.

Our names are supposed to be on the poster. I haven't seen a pic of it to verify. Id like to get a digital version on here that all forum members could highlight themselves.

Isn't the names only of the people who ordered before a specific date? Not necessarily the ones that got a signed card. If I remember right, the fan pack wasn't even mentioned on these forums until AFTER the deadline date for that.

Yeah, I'm not sure if anyone really picked up on that, but when people started talking about the pre-order, that myfavouritemags site had stated that orders before 4/2 would have the people's names included in the artwork/poster.
The signed cards came into play much later.
By the way, does anyone have a way to track their order in that myfavouritemags site?

No way to track...but are shit's held up in customs. Used to be that stuff from the UK would get here in a week...it's been taking a LOT longer recently, and it's all because it's literally sitting somewhere waiting to be processed.

Congrats! And my name is on the poster too, when i saw my name i didn't react at all because i still can't believe it! I'm just so happy. :D

I received 2 fanpacks, one was ordered for me by accident because he did not know to put it under my name to have my name on the poster.
So his name is on there too now. Regardless... the instructions were clear, have your order in before a specific date and there was time for them to print your name on the poster. However the signed cards were 1000 total by random. I DID get a signed card in the accidental order... so the accidental order was meant to be :)

I got two fan packs...one was slightly torn so that's the one I chose to open, and luckily, it had a signed card inside! I have no idea if the other one does or not, but it shan't be opened to find out.

Yeah, I found myself! Rather easily, too. I would have been pissed if I wasn't on there, since I ordered on day 1.

No just once, since I ordered both on the same order. I wasn't sure if they'd be smart enough to catch that sort of thing.

I received mine today... I'm on the poster TWICE, but no postcard :( Makes me mad cause they initially said the first thousand would get it. I still have yet to receive my 2nd one.

I believe the postcards were 1,000 random packs. The names for the poster was for orders placed before 4/2/13.
Maybe your 2nd one will have a card.

I didn't get a signed postcard but I did find my name on the poster pretty quick. It's in alphabetical order with your first name. It's funny Derek Stokan doesn't sound like i'm from America lol.

I'm very very sad...I ordered 3 fanpacks (two were discounted), received them today and I didn't get the signed postcard :'(
Remained the last hope to win the signed fanpack in Metal Hammer's competition that was announced not so long ago.

I wasn't aware that they originally intended to give the signed cards to the first 1000, not 1000 random. That kinda sucks because I would have gotten one. *shrugs*

I was on my way to NYC for the weekend that would have been to see their live shows at the Irving Plaza and stopped off at the mailbox on my way to the airport. I nearly fainted when I opened the fanpack to find a signed post card! I took it as a good sign.... :) I also found my name on the poster because I'm dorky enough to order it early. :o Kinda cool to have and actually meet or know other folks on there!
