Well, after hearing the whole album non stop for 3 consecutive days I have to decide for Hearts at War and Love without Tears.

I enjoyed the whole album but "I will be the end of you" has to be my favourite track. I was guessing that it would be my favourite and i was correct.

It was tough but I choose love without tears. They are all so good tho.

I don't really like that as much as the others. Love Without Tears, Drawn and Quartered, and Hearts at War are my top 3.

I think the only reason no one's picked "ALGB" is because we've all heard it sooo much. The other songs are newer to us. Although, even after hearing the rest of the album I still loooove Tears On Tape and Into The Night.

It doesn't mean no one likes it, I'm sure many do. But we only get one choice and it's our favorite. ALGB and ITN are kinda in the middle ground... some people listen to HIM for the lyrics and others for the music ect. The lyrics and music don't stand out more than others.

Musically, I love ALGB. Lyrically, eh. As usual, I'm sure my favorite track will change.

Its very early days but initial impressions are Love Without Tears and I Will Be The End Of You. I was blown away by the whole ordering of the tracks, particularly at the beginning of the album.

Being an INFP, I'm going with WLStD. I like the lyrics a lot. If love was to die, so would I. And musically it's awesome as well. LWT and D&Q are close seconds.

At first my favorite was No Love. Then after listening to the lyrics a bit more my favorite is Hearts at War. Least favorite is still the title track and Drawn & Quartered but they are growing on me.

Originally 1 & 2 were flipped around but I like Tears On Tape a little bit more each time I listen to it so eventually it surpassed Love Without Tears. Tears On Tape makes me think of Ville staring out a rain splattered window pane. And Love Without Tears makes me think of him just sitting in the dark and thinking about something.... do any of the songs bring to mind any specific images for anyone else?

well, this is very interesting what you just opened. I was thinking about what you just said KissTheVoid and i must admit i never thought of Ville or actually the band while listening to their songs :o i mean i know what i am listening to while i am listening to it, but i always have some my inner deep and old memories on the songs and the songs are attached to some memory when i was listening to some particular song. Only few HIM songs makes me think of HIM as the band, not Ville or any other member, but just the band while performing it live on the concerts i attended.
For example when i am listening to Vampire Heart it always makes me think of my HIM concert in Bratislava 2005 as it was the opening song of this gig. And when i listen for example to Heartache every moment i think of the 2002 or 2003 when i was still trying to learn all the tricks on the skateboard and i had a walkman, headphones and was listening to this song when i first time managed to do kickflip to bs noseslide ;D
but i must admit ,whenever i listen to some old bootleg live recording from 2000 i imagine the band performing it with Juska

I'm one of those people who describe things as having an aura because things usually make me think of other things, like people or music makes me think of colors. For some reason Sleepwalking Past Hope sometimes makes me think of Dante's Inferno: An Animated Epic and others it makes me think of a fan letter I wrote. Sometimes I ponder over whether they ever really got that or not. I would like to think so but I lean more towards not.

With Tears On Tape being out for a while now and having the album set in, my favorites have changed. Hearing some songs on the Rock Allegiance Tour and the 2014 US tour has a lot to do with it but I feel they choose the singles right. All Lips Go Blue really is a great song.

Admit that the last time the band actually had a few good singles that had music videos was probably Love Metal. It was Buried Alive By Love, The Sacrament and The Funeral Of Hearts. Dark Light, Venus Doom and Screamworks only had two. We got All Lips Go Blue, Tears On Tape and Into The Night. It was so good having them comeback with an album like this.
