Post by: HIM fanatic girl on December 07, 2009, 07:20:27 PM
There are spme tour dates posted in the official website.
There are German tour dates too.
Do you know how to put the German tickets site in English.
Can't see it.
The link is on the official website.
Thanks

It would be nice if that tour would fall on my Spring break, but it looks like I may have to make a special trip. I can't wait to finally relax at a HIM show; the pressures of getting front row just don't seem important anymore. I think I'll just stand in the back and enjoy myself this time around.

The exact same for me, my first HIM show back in 2004 was the only time I've been in the pit.

Nowadays, if there is a balcony, I'm there.

Yeah, I think I'm getting tired of the constant bumping and shit at shows.  I gladly took balcony seats at the Slipknot show.  (Yeah, I know...different crowds).

I usually try for the middle of the stage for HIM shows...it's been a while since I've seen them live though.

yeah i only saw them twice lol.

first us tour...front row in front of mige and gas...then when they played with faggot monster magnet (but the show was canceled so i had to go back i like 2 weeks lol...wack)...2nd tour i think...balcony.?

i didnt go to that projekt revolution bullshit.
Title: Re: HIM TOUR 2010
Post by: Jay on December 31, 2009, 05:36:26 PM
Yeah, the last time I saw them was at Projekt Revolution in San Antonio.  I got a pick from Mike Shinoda though, that was pretty cool.
Title: Re: HIM TOUR 2010
Post by: Rasta666 on January 01, 2010, 12:51:36 AM
I went to Projekt Revolution, so fucking gay. I thought Linkin Park put on a pretty good show, but I was really bummed by the short HIM set. So much better when HIM is the headliner.

Oh, and I feel like when I'm in the pit, not only do I feel like I'm missing part of the show, I feel like it's a shorter show in general. That just goes for every band.

*EDIT*
PS. Happy New Year Everyone!

going to anaheim and los angeles. If there was a day off between LA and vegas, I'd go to vegas too. But to do LA, get home around midnight, hop in the car at 8am, drive for 5 hours, concert, then drive back for school the next day is waaaaay too much

either way...gotta sit through that shit.

the ONLY good show i saw with HIM was the very first one in 04...Kill Hannah and 18V...good bands.

then fucking monster magnet and auf der maur...of which was cancelled so i had to see some faggot local bands and some dude who had a band full of puppets.

HIM doesnt bring good bands on tour...i say again...total bummer.

the no sleep til halloween tour that they cancelled would have had better bands [kill hannah lostprophets and papa roach] but having better bands probably make ticket prices higher so it's bn a way  better to have not so good bands with them if you don't have a lot of money to spend on tickets

I'll be in Cleveland; somehow the gods smiled upon me and that date fell during my Spring Break.

My group decided we're going to try and get balcony seats, and we're starting a new tradition of dressing to the 9's at the show. No more black t-shirts; sweater vests are where it's at.

VIP tickets to a House Of Blues show (at least for Cleveland) aren't necessary. If you go and eat in the restaurant before the show, save your bill and they'll let you into a private hallway to stand in line. They let those people in before the people outside.

Granted since the VIP tickets are now around, they may just use that process for them.

I'm amazed at how many seriously dislike Dommin. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think they are the best fit for an opener. I felt the same way when they opened for the 69 eyes. They have a rock/goth edge to them that doesnt come off as emo like most bands here in the states. Plus, the lead singer sounds like Danzig, which is awesome.

I've always felt that most (not all) HIM fans in at least the hollywood area show zero respect for opening bands at HIMs shows. To me, it comes off as ignorant and unwilling to want to discover new music.

HIM or the 69 Eyes need to bring over Charon or Lacrimas Profundere as an opener. Then I'd be in heaven.

so i just did the livenation presale. i bought 2 tickets for the anaheim show, and 2 for the wiltern. And 5 minutes after i placed my order i canceled it. Reason being..... HIM, not livenation, HIM is trying to screw over the public and boost record sales.

HIM requested that they charge an extra $8 per ticket during presale. The $8 dollars gets you a digital copy of the new CD. What the hell would I need 4 digital copies for!!!!(not even the physical cd). I love the band, but that's low, and shady

Called live nation .....

When I got my email confirmation, it said ticket price- ____, ticket fee- ____, and then one more fee in german. I kid you not. So I called and asked them what the mysterious "German fee" was for. The guy said, the $8 is automatically added on as "requested by the band" and in turn u get a digital copy of the album. And to be technical, it's not Ville calling l.n. being like "hello, this is ville valo of HIM. can you please charge more for our presale tickets." It's greedy warner bros.

Even the Live Nation rep agreed that it was b/s

don't ask anyone about this show on the heartagram forums they give you not so nice responses and tell you not to post about it anywhere untill it's official which is bullshit , i posted what i posted on here and they told me it was only for the presales of the first date and to wait untill there is more information on the show to post about it, they don't seem too nice over there which is probably why since i joined in 2007 only posted once and stayed on here, everyone here is a lot nicer

also they say there won't be any leak of anything on there or trade of bootlegs or you'll be ban instantly and one of the administators posted "Don't even think about it. I'll show up at your house with an ax" after someone asked for a link to shatter me with hope

that's why you should have gotten them from http://tixx1.artistarena.com/him/ (http://tixx1.artistarena.com/him/) i only paid 3.50 to have my tickets sent no other service fees, my tickets cost me $150[vip ones 75 each] even+the 3.50 shipping cost

I just signed up on artist arena. They still add the $8 "digital copy" fee. So although the facility fee is much less. When you add $8 + fac fee, it's still more money than buying general onsale from live nation

I'm not even sure if I'm still a member of the official forum.  I just don't like that you have to be HARDCORE about the band and it's almost a sin to disagree or dislike anything the band's done.  I think we would have gotten killed over our distaste for the Heartkiller video at the official forum.  Anyway, I digress...

Well there is no early entry to the shows now for the VIP package and I guess the record company is haveing a meeting tonight over this from what I read on heartagram the presale through artist arnea is a mess right now people are wanting refunds in shit.
oh well

From looking at the main forums, I feel that a lot of members are don't what they're talking about. They think downloading a leak is a sin and that you automatically are screwing the band over. Most of the case people download leaks because they are impatient and want to hear it now.

but i really wanted that saint scream print. i wonder if the litho thingy we get with the VIP is the same?

anyone know?

normal tickets for me are $43, might aswell put more in there to get early access and the album. ahhh foooy but i really really wanted that saint scream print, lol i already bought a really cool glass frame for it at michaels  :P

I assume you are talking about the wiltern. I'm going to keep ranting......tickets for wiltern are actually $35. The presale is automatically charging $8 more for a digital copy of the album which is stupid on multiple levels. If you already preordered the album with the litho, and you know that the album is going to leak in the next week. Why pay $8 more for some b/s so Warner bros can say they sold more albums

the litho from the vip is supposed to be embossed and hand numbered and different than what comes with the cd but i don't know what it actually looks like and won't know untill the concert since you have to pick it up at the merch table when you go

according to live nation if you want tickets without music you have to wait untill the public sale all of the preorder tickets come with some form of the album no matter what so there's no way to not pay extra unless you wait for the public sale

I am going to the April 3rd show in Cinnci (Bogarts) with my friend she hasnt seen HIM live yet this will be her first and my 8th time  :)

I'ma be there. I used to be on this forum 24/7 and then I didn't and then I got deleted, anyway I'm back let's get crackin.
I almost bought the live nation presale but it's a million dollars and all you get that's special is a digital version of the cd, I'd rather have the real cd.

I'm wondering about all this VIP stuff, will there be VIP tickets for the Ohio show? It  doesn't say anything about that on live nation.. either way I'm gonna be front row center..If you see this crazy girl body slamming people on the way to Ville, that is soo me.
I saw them back in 2006.. It's been far to long my ville. lol

I'm going to the Garage in London on my own on valentines day, I'm kind of looking forward to going on my own though I intend to get quite drunk and befriend random strangers.

I desperately want a photo pass for this one, I can't see my chances being great though. major venue harassment isn't getting me anywhere yet.

Does anyone have any idea why they have scaled down some of the venues they are playing? The past two times here in Atlanta as headliners they were damn near capacity at a 5k seater but this time around are booked in an 1100 seater. If you guys don't remember me, I was the guy who organized the meet and greet with the band at Guitar Center on the Projekt Rev tour and posted the announcement. Currently working on another one for when they come through town in May. Will let you guys know if it goes through. We had the 69 Eyes there this year so hopefully Seppo will give us the green light. Keep you posted. Just curious why the smaller venues?

HIM have added a new date to the US Tour on April 6th at The Orbit Room in Grand Rapids, MI.

The San Diego, CA show on April 25th has been moved to April 22nd,

you can get more info from heartagram

i really hope they add the second nyc show again i took 3 days off work so i could go to both shows

edit the pa and nyc artistarena presale are both sold out for both ticket options so hopefully the second nyc date is going to be up after the public sale sells out

So, what new songs do you guys think they will play live? Heartkiller is pretty obvious, and they seem to have gotten into the rhythm of playing Scared to Death and Love, The Hardest Way. I really hope they play at least two of these:

Disarm Me
Dying Song
Ode to Solitude
Like St. Valentine

I'd be happy with hearing almost any of the songs live, but those four I really want to hear.

VIP tickets to a House Of Blues show (at least for Cleveland) aren't necessary. If you go and eat in the restaurant before the show, save your bill and they'll let you into a private hallway to stand in line. They let those people in before the people outside.

Granted since the VIP tickets are now around, they may just use that process for them.

well the house of blues (orlando), they have the regular general admission line, the pass the line, and usually if theres vip, they deal with them seperately. not having anything to do with the pass the line. but as always things are subject to change. best thing to do is to call your venue and find out how they plan on handling the early entry benefit for your tickets.

In MY experience, when ive been vip, i was in a group, that was brought in through the back and led to the side door of the stage and we went where we wanted.

Anyways, HOB Orlando, May 2nd, Im there. Hope to see many of you as well!

Tracklist for the London show, in case it hadn't been posted yet:

Like St. Valentine
Right Here in My Arms
Wings of a Butterfly
Heartkiller
Join Me
Kiss of Dawn
Katherine Wheel
Poison Girl
Disarm Me
Buried Alive By Love
Wicked Game
When Love and Death Embrace
Love, The Hardest Way
Encore
The Funeral of Hearts

Personally, not a fan of the set list. Could have chosen better songs. I think they made the London gig and the Berlin myspace show shorter, maybe cause they are warming up for the tour. They only played 14 songs, and just about every HIM show I've been to, they've played 17-18 songs.

i think so too in this interview http://www.euro-rockradio.com/archives/379 (http://www.euro-rockradio.com/archives/379) ville says they'll be playing for an hour and a half and play more songs since the new ones are shorter and they can fit more in

The last one they showed is this:

Two things:

2) Does he really need to have the first line of Wicked Game written down? I imagine they've played that song close to 1,000 times

is HIM playing in pittsburgh, PA on april 5th?
I looked on heartagram.com and it's not listed, but when I searched in ticketmaster's site a concert at Club Zoo was posted for that date at 7pm
I would really like to confirm this due to the fact that that is really close to me

Went to the Philly show last night it was awesome! The show seemed to have went really fast. They played amazing! It was great to see them play "When love and death embrace" Set I believe was the same as the one overseas. But here it is if  I remembered it correctly:

Intro
1.Like St. Valentine
2.Right Here In My Arms
3.Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly
6.Kiss Of Dawn
7.Katherine Wheel
9.Disarm Me (With Your Loneliness)
11.Wicked Game
12.Scared To Death
13.When Love And Death Embrace
**encore**
14.Your Sweet 666
15.Love The Hardest Way
16.The Funeral Of Hearts

wow I really hope that set changes during the tour. I understand bands get sick of playing the same songs over and over. But the fact that singles like BABL, killing loneliness, sacrament, bleed well aren't there is quite shocking. They're not even rockin heartkiller.

Love seeing WLADE on there! Would also like to see Shatter Me With Hope, and bring back something else from VD like Dead Lover's Lane

uh o. that can mean 1 of 2 things.

1)sound guy was genuinely not doing this job, and i'd be pissed to.
2)Ville is turning into a diva, and thats not good.

At rock am ring '05, Linde's guitar completely cut out during killing loneliness and Ville just made a joke about it calling it a 'radio edit.' I'd be much more pissed having my guitar cut out in front of tens of thousands of people, then having a mic issue in a lil 2000 person or w.e. venue

Sorry they did play heartkiller and babl...its actually the same exact set as Hamburg..and im sad to say i think Ville is turning into a diva cause at the philly show he was bitching about the towels that were given to him on the stage and said he has the right to criticize the guy cause he pays them good money to do there job..also was pissed they couldnt set up his mic stand right..that video of him throwing the mic down made me sad..what is going on!!

Boston Setlist

1. Like St. Valentine
2. Right Here In My Arms
3. Wings of a Butterfly
4. Heartkiller
5. Kiss of Dawn
6. Join Me
7. Katherine Wheel
8. Jam (so fucking cool)

10. Buried Alive By Love
11. Disarm Me
12. Wicked Game
13. Killing Loneliness
14. Love, The Hardest Way
15. Funeral of Hearts
---ENCORE---
16. Soul On Fire
17. Scared To Death

Recap: Wow, it was a really great show. They sounded great, the only mistake came at the beginning of Love, The Hardest Way. Ville forgot the first couple lines but he laughed it off.

After the show I waited outside for them, and after about 20 minutes they came out. I shook Linde and Burtons hand as they walked on the bus and patted Mige on the back and congradulated him on a good show. All three of them were really nice and said thanks. I missed Gas, but Ville came out last, and he walked right up to me. I kind of boxed him out (lol) and shook his hand and said he performed beautifully. He singled me out, smiled and said thank you. I'm on Cloud 9 right now and I couldn't be happier. First time meeting the guys and they were awesome. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Now just enjoying a beer and replaying that moment in my mind. What a night.

Went to the Milwaukee show last night. Very tight show. Ville seems healthy and energetic. He was drinking Red Bull and Vitamin Water and still not smoking. Unlike the Venus Doom tour, he was very animated and mobile. Seems very comfortable without his vices.

As for the setlist, it was pretty standard from what I've seen on this tour. They closed the first set with Funeral of Hearts and then came back with Rebel Yell for the encore. Also in the set were Bleed Well and Killing Loneliness... along with Screamworks' Scared to Death, Disarm Me, Katherine Wheel, Heartkiller and they opened with St. Valentine. (Plus the usuals: WG, WOAB, RHIMA, BABL, Join Me, KOD.)

They did a nice extended jam in the middle of Wicked Game, included a sprawling Linde solo lasting several minutes. That was one of the night's highlights for sure.

Ville did a lot of talking on stage, but I missed most of it since every fan in attendance thinks screaming "Ville!!!" "I LOVE YOU!!" "YOU'RE SEXY!!" is going to get them something.

I've uploaded a few photos onto flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/18222544@N00/sets/72157623707435437/

And also I filmed BABL, which you can find on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zEsA8Bs7ww

i have a black top hat i wrote song lyrics on and put a note inside of songs they should play during the 3 nyc shows that i want to throw on stage and hope ville reads it and decides to play some of the songs on it, i put loves requiem first but i doubt they'll play it but they might get a laugh out of that and sweet pandemonium along with a few others they haven't played in years i'm hoping since they change some songs based on what fans scream out at them some shows that they'll play some of my requests, we'll see

That show was soo sick, they closed with rebel yell, and they did a little jam-of-sorts of Solitude (B.S.). and a little HA-HA: Gas's main crash cymbal was comming loose, and when the tech guy came to fix it, Ville came from behind and quote, 'date raped' him lolol... I got linde's sweaty towel  :-\  ??? hahahahaa.. umm, yea. Me and some friends ended up hanging out with Drive-A on their bus for a few hours, had some drinks, just chilled out. great bunch of guys. They gave us a flat of Monster drinks for the road haha.

the show was awesome...the regency is a rad venue, pretty small...so it was rad as fuck.

we were about 8 feet from the stage, and we showed up after the first band already played...and didnt go in until WATF played...(Ps...the singer (looked) hot as fackk.)...it was awesome how easy it was to get as close as we did.

i'll have to check through my phone and go through the setlist...but the encore was 1 song...and it was Rebel Yell...

i got a whole 3 shows under my belt lol. '04, '05 and now '10.

oh...i talked to the merch dude and he said that he has YET to sell out of the tour posters...idk why.

theres only 160 of them...and they're all personal to the venue. IE: they say H.I.M. venue name.......city and date...and they are hand numbered /160. i got 36.

the merch guy guaranteed that he would have plenty of posters at the end of the night, and he even went as far as shaking my hand and saying..."if i run out, i will literally give you $25." either way...it was a win!

thank you Betsy for the ticket, hotel room, ride, and fucking crazy loooooooong night! <33

1 dude...2 chicks...the force is strong with this one! i am a fucking saint! my woman loves me dearly! haha...ok im done.

Just got home from Anaheim. I apologize now for typos, incoherent sentences, etc. It's 2am(Now 3 by the time I finished typing).

In case you visit Disneyland or Orange County in general, watch out! because apparently they like to throw stuff at your head. I'll get to that a little later on.

First off-the entire fan base has completely changed. Just alot more casual people, HIM virgins, etc. It's very odd, hard to describe unless you've been going to HIM show after HIM show in the L.A. area and you're just used to seeing the same groups of people.

Bands:
Drive-A - straight up punk band. Alright for punk. But typical 3 note riffs, etc. Nothing you've never heard.Funniest part was the singer was introducing a song about "not letting people tell you how to run your life." Then told the crowd to say F**K you. O, the irony.

Dommin - Probably best band of the night. Sound was spot on. Crowd was surprising energetic towards them. I loved them.
SET LIST:
New
My Heart your Hands
Dark Holiday
I Still Lost
I Just Died In Your Arms Tonight
Without End

We Are The Fallen - So it is literally Evanescence without Amy Lee. By that I mean a few things.
1)The guitarist wrote all the lyrics and most music for Evanes. So lyrically and musically sounds almost the same
2)3 of the members in WATF are from Evanes.
3)The singer sounds like Amy Lee without the vocal range. [Just found out she finished 6th place in American Idol season 7. Enough said]
I never liked Evanescence. I didn't care much for WATF except for some harmonizing guitars and some good metal riffs. Overall, each song sounds the same.

HIM- [Note:this was my 9th time seeing them since 2005, so I have alot to compare it to] The stage was uninspired and boring. Ville's mic was waaaaay too low. I wear earplugs for the show so I'm not deaf. But also, the plugs help filter out treble and bad noises, so I can hear everything the way it truly sounds, much like the soundboard.....and he was quiet. But the boys were extremely energetic and having a great time. VV was a little chatterbox although he mumbles. As expected, the set list focused on much slower paced songs.
SET LIST
St Valentine
RHIMA
WOAB
Scared to Death
KOD
JM
Heartkiller
Wicked Game + Jam (very tasty 3 min Linde solo)
BABL
Disarm Me

*Between Disarm/Bleed someone threw eyeliner on stage. Ville said something like "Do you want us to be more like Turbonegro?" Then sung a few lines of Rendezvous With Anus ;D !!! Probably highlight of the evening.*
Bleed Well - So of course throughout the show bras & handmade charm bracelets are being tossed gently onstage. Not big deal, thats normal. But right before the guitar solo some asshole decides to throw a 400 page book right at Ville's face! Quickly followed by a solid wooden bracelet at his face!!! The obvious pissed off Finn stops the song and show. And gave a 4-5 minute lecture on how messed up that is. And after Dimebag Darrel, it's just scary having things throw at you. Not to mention it breaks their concentration. VV also used some very choice words that would get me kicked out of the forum. But they started the song back up where they left off and played with that much more energy.
Killing Loneliness
Katherine Wheel
Funeral Of Hearts

*Encore*
Rebel Yell - I've never heard it live, only on recorded shows. So I was a happy camper.

Very short set. Only 15 songs. I think part because they were pissed about the throwing stuff, and the crowd was pretty lame tame. Damn HIM virgins just standing there taking pictures the whole time.

Merch wise, I just picked up the litho for now. I'm going to snag clothes on Friday in Hollywood. $25 shirts, $40 sweatshirts. Dommin and WATF shirts are also $25. Same situation with the posters not selling. I bought mine after the show was over and had #11 (presuming they are in order). I'm shocked people aren't buying them.

Goodnight/Goodmorning everyone. I'll re-read this in the morning and fix everything

yeah, not looking forward to hearing them in hollywood.

I think the best way to sum up the singer is based on a little song called Ode to Solitude;

"Easy on the eyes, uneasy on the ears."

I don't. But there were enough god damn people taking pictures and videos the WHOLE time, that someone is bound to have it. I'm sure it will surface this weekend.

On another note. Same song-for-song set list as Anaheim also in San Diego and Hollywood.

I had a friend go to the SD show, he said Ville sang 1 verse+chorus of Solitary Man before going into Rebel Yell.

Tonight in Hollywood someone threw a pack of cigs on stage before FOH. Ville picked them up, looked at them very intensely, and started singing the 1st verse+ chorus of Gone With the Sin. VERY APPROPRIATE...."I love your skin o so white"!

I agree, it's kinda odd how they have so much material and yet they still play a cover song. (2 covers when they play rebel yell). Also, aren't they sick of join me? That's waaay more dull than wicked game IMO.

I still think that they should have like 3-4 different set lists per tour they rotate through. Each set would have the staple songs in different orders, but also have curveballs thrown in. That way the people who go to multiple shows get something different. Also, I think it would sell more tickets because people who would normally go to just one show would start going to 2 or 3 if they know that they get something different for their money.

Currently at the first NY show. Posting from my iPhone. (Jay, we need a Sacrament app! Haha) I won't give a review of the warm up bands cause I did for the Boston show and there are enough up here anyways. I'll be giving the live set list update like a I did last time.

1) Intro
2) Like St. Valentine
3) Right Here In My Arms
4) Wings of a Butterfly
5) Love, The Hardest Way
6) Kiss of Dawn
7) Join Me
8) Heartkiller
9) Wicked Game (w/ Jam for Ville's cig break)
10) Bleed Well
11) Disarm Me (With Your Loneliness)
12) Buried Alive By Love
13) Poison Girl
14) Killing Loneliness
15) Funeral Of Hearts
Encore
16) Rebel Yell

doesn't look like they've changed the set (song wise) since I got a report from las vegas.

I'm still upset that california got scared to death+katherine instead of poison girl+love the hardest way. I would of much preferred the latter

we would of had a deal jay!

katherine was very dry (sorry, couldn't resist) sounding live. It's a rather basic song anyways, but I think the production value on the album makes it sound better.

I'm still upset I haven't heard of them playing 'shatter me' stateside. I find that rather disappointing

Milwaukee show uploaded to media section ( :

And also I filmed BABL, which you can find on YouTube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zEsA8Bs7ww

don't believe it then but when it happens give more respect to shakes and the other mods on the forum they do know what they're talking about and why is no one here interested in rumors there's not much more to talk about on here as of now so some rumors will get more people involved on here
