yes! its apparently true HIM will be touring north America again after their europe tour it was said their going to be coming back and it will be amazing im pretty mad that their not doing projekt revolution but its all good the new tour is presumed to be called digital doom but not sure on that i can say i cant wait what about the rest of you? maybe another new album!

If they're touring again, that's great, but they're not going to release another album until at least late 2009. Like many artists, HIM tends to only make an album every two years or so.

well Ville did say in an interview that after the festival tours then they will start work on the new album around this Aug - Sept. so we could get a new album in Jan. Feb. of 2009

Remember when Under the Rose leaked? That shoddily recorded live acoustic version? Quite a while before Dark Light dropped. My guess is fall '09/spring '10 before we get a new album. Two years isn't unreasonable at all and two and a half/three isn't unheard of by a long shot. Look at Love Metal to Dark Light. April 2003 to September 2005. That's two and a half years.

The 2,5-year break between LM and DL was a bit of an exception in the HIM field. They did, after all, change labels and release And Love Said No during that time. So they didn't just do the process of touring+writing+rehearsing+recording it usually takes to make a transition to the next album. They did more.
I do agree with you, though, that the next album prolly won't come out till fall 2009 or later. Which, like you said, isn't unreasonable at all, but fairly fast these days.

Yea, don't think a tour will be comin around this time....would be cool but id rather them work on the new album then stressin' over a new tour. They need to focus on the album not a tour

a tour is more likely after a couple weeks rest.
bands write on the road all the time. thats were a majority of bands do most of their writing actually. it would make sense if they toured for VD plus some older stuff, maybe not so often played. still probably nothing off of deep shadows cuz God-forbid they do anything off my favorite album haha.

That's what I was thinking.
I was under the impession that they tour just after they release an album and then go back to writing/studio (and festivals in between). They've done their VD tour so now we wait for the next album...and tour...

Yo buddy, you need to have a little bit of brains.
I could understand if someone had never seen HIM before and it would be their first show that they would be excited but you have to be realistic and realize they've been touring for how long now? I think it's about time they had a break.

alright and thats fine but im going by what i was told from a person who works for warner bros and someone who works for a magazine and they both told me HIM is coming back in November and if you recall HIM Tours every couple of months and its definitely not my first HIM show nor my first show i may be 16 but ive been to more then 200 shows thanks though for the sarcasm throughout your post

I hate it when HIM fans start getting into little gay fights....just let it be if there is a tour there is a tour and whoever is right...congrats, get over it.
It would be cool if they DID tour but did older stuff off GLS and DSBH...stuff like that, just older original HIM material that they never play live, thats wut the fans want/need, especially the fans that have been there since the beginning

i want them 2 come back cuz im still tryin 2 get over how i missed the last tour. ive been to every US tour except the last one. i havnt seen them live since proj rev last summer. thats why i want them to come back.
