I'm REALLY hoping for a concert near Florence. I don't really have the money for the ticket (40 euros) and a train to Milan or something (that'd be another 30/40 euros). Damn!

If they catch you recording video instead of turning the camera off just keep it to your side pointed away from the stage so we at least have the audio  :)

Don't worry dude, I've done this many times before (3 times with HIM) and all was fine. Lycabettus is an open theater so I'll be in the back rows away from security guys... :P
The only thing that worries me every time is sneaking the camera in! :P
My videocamera is a little bigger compared to the latest models so I have wrapped it in a t-shirt, placed it in a plastic bag, tucked in the bottom of a backpack and put 3-4 "unwashed" t-shirts and underwear on top of it!  ;D
If they insist that I take everything out of the bag I'm gonna say:
"Look dude, I arrived some hours ago from a long trip and it's full of smelly dirty clothes, you don't want to embarrass me in front of all these people now do you? If you do, go on and take them out yourself!" :P

Done it before... it works...  :D

they better play more of the venus doom songs than that seriously it's really only like 8 songs they should spread the whole album all over the setlist and mix iit with the older songs and that would be something worth seeing sorry needed to vent i need to hear bleed well, sleep walking past hope and  love in cold blood live

Rumors in Finnish gossip magazines ::)
About Helldone

Credits etc: Valo Daily (http://community.livejournal.com/valo_daily/2174246.html#cutid1)

(http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/3804/kuva019pf5.jpg) (http://img519.imageshack.us/img519/3804/kuva019pf5.jpg)

Quote
Hugless translated the part where he bashes Valo. It basically says the same thing people saw yesturday.

Andy says that Hanoi Rocks wanted to play at Helldone festival at new year?s eve and they were already asked to play there but then the affair took a surprising turn. "For some strange reason Ville Valo refused to perform if Hanoi Rocks performs", Andy grins. "Maybe he understood, that he?s not so good, because HIM were booed out as a warm-up band for Metallica. That would never have happened to us. We play with anyone, anywhere. If you?re afraid of some band, change your career."

It's also in this Helsingin Uutiset which is a small paper in Helsinki but Hugless canned the one from Vantaan Sanomat whic is what I provided in here.

Quote
Faithfulll from Jonnaluvv translated he rest. So yes the Metallica thing Andy metioned

..."The rockstar living in southern Helsinki is without a doubt one of the biggest rockstars in the land. The relationships with other colleagues are not always the best as possible, for only a limited amount of star sparkle fits into the rock sky. Hanoi Rocks would have wanted to perform at Tavastia's legendary Helldone festival.
According to McCoy the band was already asked to play, but the case got an unnexpected turn.
-For some reason Ville Valo refused to perform, if Hanoi Rocks performs, McCoy grimaces.
-Maybe they understood that they are not that tough (~good), because HIM got booed out when warming up for Metallica. That would have never happened to us.
-We'll play with anyone, wherever. If you're afraid of some band, change your profession, the guitarist emeritus sends greeting to the youngsters." - Faithfulll

When you reach 100 posts you can go to the Media section and download the whole show, I have recorded it and uploaded for everybody. The song was already found out and it is "My Idea Of Fun" by Iggy & The Stooges.  :)

went to see them last night at the Astoria! aww man what a gig HIM were totally on fire, and it sounded so loud.

seen them 4 times so far and would rate this the best one. Ville's vocals were superb and the whole band gave it there all which was good. Also really pleased with the set list an good set of new and old songs.

only thing i would say is i thought it was a bit rushed at the end, as there was another show on or something so they had to leave quick.

managed to sneek in my HD camera and got the whole thing recorded. i was right at the front of the balconey anyone else go last night?

How's the audio quality? I'm not much into video. Since you don't have enough posts to get into the media section, if you want to, you could make a passworded .rar, tell a mod the password, and then have them post it for you. That way, not just everyone could get it, and we wouldn't have to wait (as long). Same goes for B_Mac with his show. It's up to you guys, though. I need something to listen to. I'm bored.

that berlin setlist looks pretty nice.... they need to at least try to play love in cold blood, the layered vocals would not be hard to reproduce with mige and burton...... or pull out cyanide sun as the last song before the encore

I've been there, too. They were awesome...whole band rocked! They also played parts of song "Venus Doom" without Ville before the Encores!!! Setlist was great...they even played longer this time...about 110 min.
And after the show I caught a plektrum of Linde...with his name and a heartagram on it!

My 6th, and so far best concert I've been to! Looking forward to the bootleg from this show and the DVD of course!

Greetings, to all Fans!

I posted a crappy review at the heartagram board from the stockholm show on the 14th, thought i share it with you guys too :)

Well this is maybe a bit late, but i finally uploaded my pictures from the show. I`ve been way to lazy these last couple of days.
I think this HIM concert was  great, Ville was in a very good mood talking a lot and the whole band was joking around with each other on stage. It was really great seeing them in such a small venue with only 600 people in the audience. And it was really funny seeing how Ville so much wanted to smoke so he went out during a solo in poison girl to smoke and then later on the mid solo part in sleepwalking past home and he returned with a coffee cup, hehe :D
There was one time in the show it semmed like it was some sound problems so Ville started to talk in finish to the sound guy,got a clip of it right here--->http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b16/lill...nt=MVI_2374.flv (http://"http://s16.photobucket.com/albums/b16/lillelangefinger/HIM%20-%20Nalen%2014%20februar/?action=view&current=MVI_2374.flv")

You Suffer

(Not Under The Rose or the Sacrament as the setlist says)

013 has a better sound than Paradiso, but Paradiso is beautiful venue. It's an old church and less capacity. The band was in a better mood in Tilburg. Gigs were great, I would love the see the new DVD
They played You suffer because Ville said RK was the last song so Linde trew his guitar on the ground, the rest was surprised and Ville said laugh and said it was broken and decided that they played You Suffer

And I want an age limit of let's say 18
IF you think a HIM concert is a karaoke show, ok
But don't think that shouting is better then singing

EDIT:
Random shit

Linde was wearing a black shirt with the text "Drei Kartoffeln" (three potatoes)
Ville played drums with a dildo and collected strings, trown on stage, in his back pocket
The discoball during Funeral of Hearts was a great effect
 http://youtube.com/watch?v=mOKd2MfxlnM
Poison Girl (http://youtube.com/watch?v=D88xFc2TkzY), the quality is OK for a YouTube video

I saw them in sweden, think we had the same setlist as the one played in tilburg though our ended after funeral of hearts  :(  I was sooo sad that I didn't get to hear Razorblade Kiss live, I love that one live and my friend saw it on the setlist before the show and we were all excited to hear it but hen they never played it...probably due to the fact that ville wasn't allowed to smoke inside the venue and he had to run out in the longer guitarr solos...and well they made them solos even longer and that caused them to have to skip the last two songs...agh, stupid swedish laws! ::)

I think the setlist was this one (I saw it in one picture):

01. Passion's Killing Floor
02. Right Here In My Arms
03. Wings of a Butterfly
04. Buried Alive By Love
05. Wicked Game
06. The Kiss Of Dawn
07. Join Me
08. Sleepwalking Past Hope
09. Poison Girl
10. Killing Loneliness
11. Soul On Fire
12. Bleed Well
13. It's All Tears
14. The Funeral of Hearts
15. Rebel Yell

As you can see, no surprises other than Rebel Yell.

What a nice change WLADE is :)

Good stuff, and of course they're going to play the same set looking setlist overall because they're so accustomed to it.  However, it's the little changes that we should be looking for.  As long as they throw in a new song from time to time, it's all good.

It's All Tears as an opener rocks also.

I saw them in Oulu and the gig was GREAT! They`re energy is really on the top right now. I`ll try to post some of mine videos even tho they allready exist a thousand different ones on youtube, hehe :D

They made some really cool changes in some of their song like
The sacrament(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szW81MLQMeg&feature=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szW81MLQMeg&feature=related)) in the middle part(3:00) They play it they usuall way and suddenly linde starts playing the break down or "headbangings" part from Dead Lovers Lane. Think its sound awsome. It should almost been like that on the cd ;)

And the intro too Soul On Fire is awsome, because it starts off with a bass solo from Mige:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbcAxx7Q2mo&feature=related (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbcAxx7Q2mo&feature=related)
