Well I'll definitely be at the Cleveland show, it just sucks it's on a Tuesday night.

Hopefully it's at the House Of Blues, that's an easy venue. The Agora wouldn't be too bad though.

Sorry if this was already answered but....In order to get tickets "before everyone else" do u have to buy VD on the 4th??? Or can u get tickets if u pre-ordered it a few days ago?
Title: Re: 2007-2008 US Tour
Post by: Daedalus on September 02, 2007, 01:50:55 PM
We're supposed to find out those details on the 4th. Besides, if not, they go on sale on the 6th anyways. And it's all general admission.
Title: Re: 2007-2008 US Tour
Post by: Davidson955 on September 02, 2007, 02:28:22 PM
I thought they went on sale the 6th anyway....it would only be a problem if a shit load of ppl did the 4th thing and they got all sold out. But if they are goin on sale the 6th, 2 days later who cares

Found this searching through the heartagram website by modifying the number on the URL of the "Evil" lyrics. Nothing we don't already know, but check out the date. Do they have the news pages already up and just link them to the front page on a later date?

Where are the tour dates on heartagram? Are they the same asposted in this thread? Plus, when will we start seeing dates on ticketmaster, this all looks a little skatchy to me.
Title: Re: 2007-2008 US Tour
Post by: lastxcallforsin on September 03, 2007, 12:47:11 PM
The tour dates aren't on the heartagram website yet. That link I posted says the dates can be found in the tour section, but the date of post says September 10th and it's not on the front page yet.

Just bought my tickets with a copy of Venus Doom and one month membership to that club. $100... fucking ticketmaster has a service charge for everything.
Title: Re: 2007-2008 US Tour
Post by: endlessdark11 on September 04, 2007, 03:26:02 PM
yeah, the service charge really kills everything! For projekt revolution I bought tickets for 54 dollars, got another 20 dollars tacked on for who knows what.
Title: Re: 2007-2008 US Tour
Post by: lastxcallforsin on September 04, 2007, 03:29:13 PM
There's a service fee of 9.75 or something for each ticket, and then the delivery charge (even for email) and sometimes venue fees and parking fees as well. The service fees cost almost as much as the damn tickets.

bleeding through isnt bad.. they are big him fans, and have him tatoos.

but what frustrates me that always hardcore bands opening for him. i would rather like a goth rock or atleast a heavy rock band open for them.

during teh dark light tour. fireball ministry open for them. and it was quite fitting.

I want to record video of the San Francisco gig, but I know security will catch me there. They didn't catch me till near the end of the show when I saw The Killers at the same venue, but I was all the way in the back of the upper balcony at that gig. I will at least try to have my camera recording in my seat so we have the audio. I'm hoping they add Venus Doom, Love In Cold Blood, and Bleed Well to the setlist. Sleepwalking Past Hope would be nice but I don't think it's going to happen.

i think that they will play sleep walking past hope and not venus doom because they said they wanted to play sleep walking past hope and plus venus doom is the only song i think on the entire album that is in a different tuning full step down

Well it wouldn't be amazingly hard for Linde and Mige' to just pick up an alternate guitar.

Granted Ville is lazy as hell when it comes to live shows, so I doubt he'd take the time to sing a little lower. Although if they started out with Venus Doom, it wouldn't to amazingly hard to just sing higher.

it's weird when i first got tix for 12/1 @ Nokia Theatre, there was originally a 12/2 date as well...they took it down soon after, now they added it back.

Almost everything you know you don't want them too, and nothing everyone else wants them too  :P

Nah, expect a set list similar to the European shows recently.   All the classics (songs done to death) and a couple of the new ones (Passion's Killing Floor, Dead Lovers Lane and Kiss Of Dawn)...might even be lucky enough to get another one of the album.

Well they did a very similar thing when Dark Light came up. They didn't start playing full Dark Light-ear sets until after the album was out. After it came out they began to play more than just Vampire Heart, Killing Loneliness, and Wings Of A Butterfly.

I am expecting the same. They've been rotating the same three songs at all the summer festivals and the latest shows, hopefully they'll add in the expected 2-4 more.

When I saw them in Oct 05 they played more than half of Dark Light, so I'd expect at least one or two new songs from Venus Doom. Sleepwalking and Bleed Well most likely. I'd love it if they'd play Venus Doom though. I doubt I'll be so lucky.

and if anyone was wondering the intro was the ending credits theme from Dexter. by far the best ive seen HIM play even though every time i see them its never a dissappointment.. cant wait til Dec. 1st! and possibly the 2nd!

yea they played the full 10 mins of SWPH and Ville didnt really know what to do with himself haha..theyll probably end up cutting it short because he tried to get them to end it a few times during the jam session at the end. and yes i did forget they did a whole new intro which was amazing to Right Here In My Arms which for a moment sounded like it could have been an intro to Bleed Well which i thought was a tease hahaha...as for the merch i liked the new hoodie with the skull on the hood. i bought the tour shirt though which has a open coffin with a rose in it and a raven with a key around its neck its kinda cartoonish but i liked it and they have they usual heartagram stuff which is pretty expensive shirts were 30-45 and the hoodies where 55 i believe then they also had the metal hammer cover of  ville as a poster for 10.

Setlist:
Passion's Killing Floor
Butterfly
BABL
Wicked
Dead Lovers' Lane
Poison Girl
Killing Loneliness
Kiss of Dawn
It's All Tears/Bleed Well (not the whole song, just a little jam)
Join Me
Soul on Fire
Sleep Walkin
666
Vampire
Right Here
Sacrament

No encore.
Played all of SWPH.
The venue, as always, was amazing.
Mige and Burton were out walking around town before the show started.  Did some autographs and pictures with some fans, that is after Mige changed out of his pajamas (I've got a photo of that too)

I've got plenty of pictures and video I'll post after I get some sleep.

Horrible.  I honestly only heard like five words during their whole performance.  They did nothing but scream the whole fucking time.

there is nothing "hardcore" about hardcore music
it just fucking sucks, why do you think that finch got booed off stage at like 6 dif shows when they opened up for him. i hope to god the fans will come through again and not have the venue packed with hathorne hissyfitters and fall out fags.

At our show in Ft. Worth we booed the shit outta Finch, but since they were already booed off stage at so many other venues they decided to be dicks and keep playing. I think they actually played a bit longer just to piss us off. And I was a Finch fan too, but dear christ they sucked after that last album.

Worcester show was great.  All the same songs except Razorblade Kiss subbed for Your Sweet 666.  Also It's All Tears went into TV Eye.  Ville was in good spirits, made some jokes.  Gas fucked up the end of Right Here In My Arms.  Linde didn't play the badass Razorblade Kiss solo either, he did a little improvised lead (wasn't that good, but besides that the song rocked!)

Just got in from D.C.

Mige and Burton were out walking around town before the show started.  Did some autographs and pictures with some fans, that is after Mige changed out of his pajamas (I've got a photo of that too)

I've got plenty of pictures and video I'll post after I get some sleep.

And......?  Waiting anxiously to see your pics, 'specially Mige in his pj's  ;)

Thanks!!!!

The Worcester show was awesome, first HIM concert that I've been to. Ville talked about the new movie, 30 nights which led into Vampire Heart and then he talked about sleepwalking or whatever right before SPH. I'm so glad that I got to hear SPH but I had to leave after KL which made me sad  :( Oh and I saw Mige get off the tour bus just as I got into line but unfortunately I didn't have my camera out or I would have snagged a picture. He got off the bus looked around a bit like he was disorientated or just checking out the crowd and then went into the venue. Overall, good show, minus the opening band. I got two of the tour t-shirts. One that has tour dates on the back and a gold heartagram with skulls and the other one has two wings on the front with two white skulls on top of the wings with a skull on the bottom right of the back of the shirt.

Pictures from Detroit last night.

All in all it was a great show. HIM was very, very tight sounding, perhaps the best they've sounded based on my previous experiences. Sleepwalking Past Hope had to be my favorite song preformed that evening. Every song seem to have an unusual twist, like Right Here In My Arms, It's All Tears, The Sacrament, etc. which helped keep everything fresh. They even played the bridge from Venus Doom as they concluded.

I totally agree, i would like to hear some more GLSV666 songs and some from DSABH,but also the songs from razorblade romance they used to play like Resurrection and Gone with the sin. I was so happy when they i heard they played Sail on on  the first GIAN festival concert, but they only played it for two nights or something :-[
I think its strange that they dosent notice that it is time for a change in the set list. I mean...how long are they gonna play those songs. Especially Wicked game and Join me.
It was actually quite nice seeing them at the metallica show when they didnt play join me. felt good with a change for once

I was at the Chicago show last night. They played all the regulars... PKF, KOD, SWPH, DLL from Venus Doom......... AND BLEED WELL. Yeah, it was fun. They closed with FOH and jammed part of VD as an outro. SWPH killed. I'll give an updated from the Minneapolis gig tomorrow night. I didn't take any photos... I hope others did.

I was in Chicago and Bambam wasn't there. Unless he was hiding. I did see some idiot who looked a lot like Bam hanging out, but it wasn't him. I made the joke hoping that the guy was Bam for Halloween. But really, he looked just like a poser, instead.

If it was him, then he fooled me and you better have some proof.

In other news, I just got in from the St. Paul show at the Myth... same setlist as Chicago, I think, identical. Bleed Well, again. Ville drank water and Red Bull all night. He also talked a lot about Viagra and how long Sleepwalking Past Hope is, and how he'd need Viagra to keep it up for that whole song. A fan also threw a Kermit the frog puppet on stage and burton punted it... then at the end of the show put it on and waved goodbye with Kermit on his hand. It was cute.

Linde fucking rocks. Seriously.

...aaaaand I got a setlist. I went backstage and met the band, got some pictures, they signed the set list, and I have a hard-on comparable to a rolling-pin. I talked to Ville about being sober and told him he looked good and healthy. He left drinking coffee. What a good boy. Some girl on the street team took the pictures of me, though, and I'm contacting her to e-mail them to me. When she pulls through, I'll post them.

Until then... rock on.

Nah, he was there. Everyone was crowding around him after the show was over, then he just disappeared. Remember, Viva La Bands was there just the night before. He gave somebody his beer and that's the last I saw of him. It's the second time I've been at the same show as him, but the first time I ever saw him there.

At my show, the hood was very plain, just a normal gold heartagram on the front and a gold skull on the back of the hood. Very plain and very expensive for fifty five dollars, or else I might have considered getting it.

I don't know if anybody has posted this yet, but most of the merch was relatively pricey. I believe there were 2 different tour shirts, with the dates on the back, for $30 each. The hoodies were $55, and girls shirts were something like $35-45. They also had a black beanie with the Venus Doom letters on it for $30. There was one poster, it was mostly blue with Ville (in his hairy, moustache-beard and tophat phase) standing in front of a castle-looking building. It had a very vampire/Underworld vibe to it. I forget the price on it, probably $10 or so. There were some necklaces, earings, keychains, and sticker packs. I think the sticker sets were $5.

On a sadder note, I bootlegged the show but when I got home the disc acted blank. from what I have been reading, it lost it's table of contents (I'm recording to minidisc) :(

I got the first one posted (with the tour dates) at the show I was at.  I think the nicest thing was seeing Ville perform out of a suit.  He just seemed to be really in his element and enjoying the show as much as the fans were.  It was a really good time and they put on an amazing show I felt.  Definitely worth waiting nearly 7 years for.  I was hoping to hear a few more oldies, but the new stuff sounds excellent live so I can't really complain.

Remember we talked about whether or not Bam was at the Chicago show? I had said I saw this look-a-like, wannabe and made fun of him to my friend... and then somebody else had said that he really was there. I just listened to the Rockline interview with Ville and he said that they missed the Viva La Bands tour in Chicago by one night and that he's hoping to meet up with Bam in LA after the tour. That leads me to believe he wasn't really there, because Ville would have mentioned it.

Well, they are playing 5 of the 9 songs on VD. That's a good amount.

Plus they're clinging to It's All Tears, Wicked Game, and sometimes Sweet 666 which are old.  Mix in a lot of RR, Love Metal, and Dark Light stuff and it's a very good mix of old & new.

Just got back from the Dallas show. Well, I got back hours ago, but just got online. Anyways. Fantastic show, the guys were all at the top of their game. Ville played with the crowd quite a bit. They opened with It's All Tears, which was a shock to me. The playlist is the same as the rest of the tour, but the order was a bit different. After IAT they went into Bleed Well.
After Sleepwalking, Ville told a long rambling story about how the Pope recently said that limbo, or purgatory, doesn't exist. Apparently this pisses Ville off. After the next song, he proudly proclaimed, "Wait a minute, I'm not Catholic, so the pope can fuck off!" Funny, but odd.

Here's a clip of the ramble. Unfortuantly I didn't get the "the pope can fuck off" part.

but
compared to all songs they are playing (5/17) they can play some VDsongs more.
Title: Re: 2007-2008 US Tour
Post by: Daedalus on November 25, 2007, 11:59:35 AM
Seeing as they have 6 albums to play songs from, and 17 songs per show, thats 2.83 songs per each album. They don't even play shit from Deep Shadows, so the fact that they devote 5 songs to VD is pretty decent.

theres too many overdubs and shit that was made for the record that cant be played live. love in cold blood and cyanide sun have too many guitar tracks and song or suicide is barely a song, but still lovely. and venus doom, well they just arent playing the full version.

From the Norva:
Passion's Killing Floor
Wings of a Butterfly
Buried Alive By Love
Kiss of Dawn
Vampire Heart
Poison Girl
Dead Lover's Lane
Join Me
It's All Tears
Sleepwalking Past Hope
Right Here In My Arms
Soul on Fire
Killing Loneliness
Bleed Well
Your Sweet Six Six Six
Funeral of Hearts

From the Electric Factory:
Passion's Killing Floor
Wicked Game
Buried Alive By Love
Wings of a Butterfly
Kiss of Dawn
Vampire Heart
Poison Girl
Dead Lover's Lane
Join Me
It's All Tears
Sleepwalking Past Hope
Right Here In My Arms
Soul on Fire
Killing Loneliness
Bleed Well
Your Sweet Six Six Six
Funeral of Hearts

The show at the Norva was beyond perfect.  The boys seemed to be in good spirts.  They joked around a lot and were smiling the whole night.  Usually you can catch the band after the show but this time security was being an ass and made everyone get away from the bus.  The Electric Factory show was okay.  Sounded good.  They played what Ville said was "the longest version ever" of Sleepwalking Past Hope.  After the "just for one last kiss" part, Ville walked off stage while Linde was doing his solo and they band kept playing for like three or four minutes while until Ville came back on.  The song was well over ten minutes long.

umm yea it was in different order.. and they replaced Your Sweet 666 with Razorblade Kiss...
actually a wonderful version of Razorblade kiss with a funny lyric change...
after the solo, at the part where ville says, "i waaaant you to love me, cause you are the one"
instead, he said, "i waaaaant you to fuck me"

the girls went nutsss!!!!
it was so funny
they talked alot more to and they were hysterical...

Burton was fooling around, Gas put on a pink wig thrown up on stage, and played Funeral of Hearts with it on, and Mige of course was makin ville crack up as usual

edit: could you maybe PM when its done, maybe we can make a trade for shows or something...
thanks
