I got this from myspace...
Are you the ultimate HIM fan from the US? If you are and can prove it, you can win a trip to meet HIM at the opening night of Projekt Revolution in Seattle, WA, plus get your own private performance from Ville and the band, and have the whole journey documented on video and have it appear on the HIM DVD coming in 2008. If you think this should be you, if you bear your heartagram proudly, if you think you know all about HIM, send us a video no longer than three minutes letting us know why you should be a part of this event. Only residents of the US will be accepted. All other countries will not be eligible.
Just upload your submission to youtube or any other video service you like and email the LINK ONLY (non-hosted files will not be accepted) to himbiggestfan@warnerreprise.com with the subject line "HIM Biggest Fan contest" no later than July 5th. We'll notify those chosen to participate on July 6th via email.

Im a huge HIM fan along with everyone else on this site. Im going to school for Film and could easily make something decent. One problem ...I'm lazy. Plus I rather catch them after a show or something, takes less time and effort haha.

sounds like a winning entry to me! The winner is prob going to be some 14 year old chick whose mom bought her Dark Light when it first came out. I think the winner should be a dedicated HIM fan from the first album all the way to Venus Doom. I will admit thats not even me. But hey, I hopethe winner is someone decent and not a 14 year old screaming little girl.

I was thinking of having everything I do make a heartagram of some sort. Like take a dump and in the toilet is a heartagram. I look at the camera and say "... it looks right." And just use random Ville quotes in weird situations. Sadly I got called into work so I forgot. Damn.

Anyone that puts the amount of time it would take to win has to start really thinking about their life.
Sure you win a free DVD, but at the same time it just means you are one of the biggest nerds out there. So no one really wins.

Ville and Migé said they don't want the DVD released. I guess, basically, the record company is making them do it and they don't feel they have enough material to put on it.

I haven't heard of Ville "not wanting" the DVD released but as far as I know, he wants these things done well. So at this point they're only talking about it and haven't set a date or anything. He doesn't want to rip off fans by just filming a gig and turning it into a DVD, like many bands do these days. According to him, a year and half was spent putting together Love Metal Archives, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for this one to be released.
Ville also said they'd been thinking about filming some documentary type of thing with Meiert Avis... Apparently the plan was to film material during Projekt Revolution and also later this year during their headlining tour. Not sure how that worked out and whether they're filming already or not.
Oh, and this's coming from a radio interview Ville and Burton did a month ago.

Um no. It's one they did for YleX, a Finnish radio station. I hadn't heard the Euro Rock interview until today and it seems like, during that interview, he was a bit more against the idea of a DVD than he was in the one I was talking about.

Ville: We'll probably shoot a show or two from the headline tour and see how it turns out. If it's going be really good then...

Ville: I don't know it depends also if it's going to released as the DVD, separate DVD or is it going to be a re-release of the album as what Greenday did. Just releasing the album again with the DVD cuz that's one way of pushing the album back up on the charts. That's record company politics. I don't really care. But in that sense then it would be wise to re-release the album so then people - you know you pay 22 bucks, 23 bucks to get the album again you can give it to a friend, whatever, to get the DVD and some special artwork rather than buying a DVD for 25 bucks that's just got a boring gig in it. We'll have to see."

Warner don't understand that it's not time to release new DVD. HIM have only 4 (or 5 if they make another one) videos, and on previous LMA they had 16 videos...

im just looking forward to an actual live concert, mixed specifically for a dvd and surround sound..... i doubt they have much useful footage, since they are only 2 albums deep after having a dvd for 5 albums (10 years, and i count and love said no as an album)

They're gonna get more and more footage for the dvd, They have been filming for ages now.
They filmed their show in Romania a couple of months back, so I guess the new dvd will include footage from the US and Europe, maybe even from japan.
Who knows, but it'll be amazing no matter what.
