any idea if there are plans to shoot the concert proshot? I feel like it's been forever since we've gotten one...since 2013 if i remember right...I'm anticipating if the band has yet to change their live sound (eg, maybe a more Gothic sounding setup around 1998 era) or a "poppy" live sound like we've had recently

Chances that they are going to capture the performance for some live DVD release is slim or none. They had poppy sound recently? I dont know maybe i missed something but they sounded pretty normal/decent/hard in 2015 (at least to my ears and my cameras microphones in Bratislava and at the Fezen fest). It most likely depends on the setlist and songs in it.... can you imagine some heavy Heartkiller? Or gothic In Joy and Sorrow? I mean, they sounded like on CD and some songs were heavier than CD - for example Your Sweet 666 was pretty heavy and Bleed well was raw as fuck in 2015. I know what you mean with 1998 - Ville had different sound, they played songs from the first album - of course they sounded more gothic, but how many songs from the first album they are playing ? I dont count Wicked Game as they do RR version , but in 2015 Wicked Game was pretty heavy too! And WLADE is flawless anytime when you hear it live in the venue.
i want both - tour and them to be in the studio working hard on the new album! warm up tour in the summer on festivals and then fall album and proper tour, that would be nice.
is there anyway to somehow get some kind of fund going? Like a way to buy some kind of equipment to record at the show or pay someone at the soundstage to record the gig. I mean, it may be a grey area, since it's recorded live it cant be copyright. I may be dellusional though, lol
Why would any of you want them to go on tour? All you ever do is bitch about the setlist and say they sounded better back in '03.

I'd happily go see HIM live and they could play one song and it would still be the best gig ever. It's seeing the band members, wondering what witty remarks Ville will say, it's all that. HIM are one of them bands I'm always wanting to see more and more of. This will be my 9th show in June and I won't be stopping there even if they open up with babl every time. Doesn't bother me one bit.
