This list was put together by 616 (http://thesacrament.net/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=7281). It has every song and every version in existence listed. Rumored tracks and versions are not listed, as we have no way of confirming their existence. Live versions were not included, even if released as a b-side to a single, however Acoustic versions are listed.

I can't remeber the release where we can find Cyanide Sun Promo. Any details please?
"Rockfield monitor mix" What's this? I remember One Last Time Rockfield Madness version, but nothing else.
And... In Venere Veritas (Demo), I would sell my soul for hear this. Maybe some day... :-\
Great list anyway. Keep the good work!
-
As I understand it, the "monitor" mixes are essentially the same as the Strongroom mixes released recently. It's just another name. 616 is the keeper of the list, so he can give you more details about the Cyanide SUn promo thing, as I can't remember where it came from either.
-
It's from the advance copies of Venus Doom...same song, just an added few seconds of Ville on the end leaving a voicemail to someone.
-
It's possible add the differences of each songs?
-
What about songs like Bound To Be Wrong and Night In Despair from the original Dark Light tracklisting, or the various demos from the Mika Jussila list? Should those count as well? We know that those songs exist somewhere in the archives and in the hands of certain people, even though we may not have a source for them. Or is this list just purely what has been released, leaked, or is otherwise obtainable at this moment? An asterisk can always be put next to the songs that we have no source for or haven't been leaked yet. Also, what about songs with different names like the New Abbey Road Radio Friendly Mix for The Sacrament, and the Club-Remix for The Heartless? Should they be listed next to their counterparts for the sake of completion? There's also a regular Radio Edit version for the re-recording of Wicked Game, as well as an International Radio Edit, although it's just as long as the album version and that's what I would assume it is without actually listening to it. The John Fryer Mix of Salt In Our Wounds is the same version of the song that's on the Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights advance promos, except the new version is remastered and possibly remixed (I haven't listened to it fully yet). It's the same thing with the Uneasy Listening Vol. 2 versions of Endless Dark and I Love You. Both of the I Love You versions are listed, but only the 616 Version of Endless Dark is.
-
I really wish Borellus had been released as more than just a demo.

I think 616 is going off of what is available in one way or another. I know there are the same tracks on the Uneasy albums, as I had no idea what the White House version was, as it's listed as the Joffa-We Miss You on the tracklist, so yeah that could be something to add.
-
to Cyanide Sun promo version - as Daedalus said , in the end of the song after few quiet seconds there is a voicemail from Ville from his rehab ;D
Cory: i was thinking about putting these on the list but i wasnt sure if it wasnt just a working title of some DL song that was later renamed. We need more info of these. But we can put these together to a special list of possible outtakes.
I created this as what i have at the moment its older and i recently just updated the reissues, but didnt have time to closely compare the versions of reissues and uneasy listenings, will do, or if you are certain just leave the comment what is wrong and how it should be fixed. So my answer is that these are songs that are available at the moment in my possession. If there is anyone who has something or has some informations about another songs and versions, feel free to add to the comment i will list it. Everything except for Rockfield Monitor Mixes are leaked, but there is hard evidence that these versions exist and are there , somewhere.
I never came across New Abbey Road Radio Friendly Mix of The Sacrament, i doubt this is an official title, if some fan just titled this way i wont list it.
To wicked game - yeah i know, are these edits somehow different ?
Whats wrong with I Love You ? All the versions available are listed, The White House version from Uneasy is listed as its much different than Reissues transformation version of I Love You
I only left 616 version of Endless dark as its the same as Vinnfox Relics, but i will put that behind that
any help is appriciated !
-
New abbey road mix is an official title, but it's just the regular radio edit of the song.
-
which CD contains that version New Abbey Road?
-
It's on a UK promo copy of the sacrament one track in a plastic wallet with paper insert.
-
Whats wrong with I Love You ?
That's what's wrong with the world today. Nobody says I love you anymore. :P

Endless Dark (616) is the same mix as Finnvox Relics.
personally think some different names get thrown around for the sake of recognizing them. Ex: the new G&T Versions of For You and Its All Tears coming up on the new box set, are the same as "unplugged radio live" . I think the 616 term came about as, say, a cool name for the heavier older mixes. 10 years later, they are renamed as relics. Just some thoughts. I think this happens often where the track is essentially unchanged.
Another ex: lose you tonight, again, love you like i do, please dont let it go, close to the flame - (hollola tapes)
But on Uneasy Listening 2, Beautiful (clearly also from Hollola Tapes) is labeled 616.
And i think Studio Live Evil is a clever way of indicating its 'Live Studio' recorded nature.
-
Sigillum Diaboli - Studio Live Evil is the same as the album version, except the bass is turned up in the equalization. It isn't a live studio recording.
-

it is the name given in a uk promo, same style used then for radio broadcast
i have it, and rippped already cause i was said it is a bit different, but, dont ask me cause i listened since i have it at 2003 being not able to find differences
but check your pm
-
just for those who wants to have a clue about Rockfield Monitor Mixes of RR ,
The version of Its All Tears that is on UK edition of And Love Said No this one is from Rockfield Monitor Mixes
-
Do we know what ALSN 616 is from? Every other 616 version connected to something.
-
its probably a demo or just different version that didnt make it to the And Love Said No compilation CD/album or re-recorded version from Dark Light recording sessions
we know that they later re-recorded ALSN in the US while recording Dark Light, but if its that 616 version , we dont know, or at least i have no clue
........
maybe its that version too, but for me that 616 version is missing the Dark Light vibe, but it also can be that re-recorded version from DL recording sessions
it more sounds like a demo for me, but who knows???

For some reason I always thought the 616 Version of "And Love Said No" was from the 'Love Metal' sessions. I have zero proof of this but, for some reason, in my mind it makes sense.
-
They recorded ALSN 616 during the Dark Light sessions...same as with Poison Heart and all the DL bonus tracks.

You might be right...hell, you probably are. But seeing as "And Love Said No (616 Version)" seems to be a "demo version" doesn't track considering that compilation came out in March 2004, while 'Dark Light' wasn't released until September 2005. They actually spent that much time demoing and such for that record? Doesn't sound right to me. But, hell, what do I know?
EDIT: Looks like I was wrong. Found this quote on wikipedia for the 'Dark Light' page...
"This album was originally supposed to be produced and mixed by Andy Wallace, an accomplished American producer, but vocalist Ville Valo said he made HIM sound too "American" and they fired him, hiring Tim Palmer with whom they had worked before on Love Metal and And Love Said No."
SECOND EDIT: Rereading that quote makes this even more interesting considering ALSN was made with Tim Palmer, who had also worked on 'Love Metal'. Looks like either one of us could be correct here.
-
The Love Metal sessions were in early 2002, It wasn't from these. My understanding is that And Love Said No(616 Version) was recorded after the version on the compilation. It was re-recorded with the possibility of being released on Dark Light. Some other songs were also thrown out during this time, Night In Despair and Bound To Be Wrong being examples, also during this time Forever Haunted was renamed In The Nightside Of Eden.

Appreciate the info. Is there a source for this anywhere?
-
Tim Palmer did both And Love Said No and Solitary man for the ALSN compilation with them
but i wanna proof that the 616 version of ALSN is that one re-recorded during the Dark Light sessions
-
I've always been thinking that is The Heartless Club Remix from the It's All Tears single the same song as The Heartless (Space Jazz Dubmen Mix) from the RHIMA limited edition single? They have the same length but are there any differences?
-
HOLY SHIT. I must have been reading this with my head up my ass for the longest time. I always click on the new stuff but I just now noticed that someone said there is a 616 version of And Love Said No, even though it was mentioned a ways back. WANT. What is it on? Whatever it is I want it. <3 <3 <3
-
its on the Wings of a butterfly Maxi single if i remember properly, or UK version? i dont know but i have a CD somewhere of it
three songs are on it
google it
-

I read an interview transcript ages ago(don't have a link) mentioning re-recording ALSN during the dark light sessions the same time as poison heart. I assume this version is the 616 one unless there is another we haven't heard? It would make sense though seeing as it was released as a B-side on the WOAB single.
-
I just always figured it was from the 'Love Metal' sessions because of the "616 Version". On the 'Uneasy Listening, Vol. 2' tracklisting 616 is only used for LM songs.
-
The one thing is for sure , right from VilleĀ“s mouth
-they recorded 14 songs, they re-recorded And Love Said No and Poison Heart cover
lets count:
Vampire Heart
Wings of a Butterfly
Under the Rose
Killing Loneliness
Dark Light
Behind the Crimson Door
The Face of God
Drunk on Shadows
Play Dead
In the Nightside of Eden
Venus In Our Blood
The Cage
Poisong Heart
And Love Said No
Ville also mentioned that Poison Heart and And Love Said No will probably make it on some different versions of the album, like UK version and stuff like that, actually i think its more likely that 616 version is that re-recorded version, but we still have no proof
these are just theories and speculations
it can be also a demo, back in the days, they titled demos of BABL and Endless Dark as 616 versions too
now Endless Dark demo is titled as Vinnfox relics on the reissues. And now we have And Love Said No 616 version here. It is missing that Dark Light vibe as Poison Heart definitely has, but i can hear some similarities to the Dark Light songs, instruments and stuff. I am pro that its that re-recorded version from Dark Light recording sessions
but it could be like we have 14 songs + re-recording And Love Said No and Poison Heart Ramones cover = 16? and we have completely 2 unknown songs ? (maybe Disarm Me) - thats my secret wish :D
and offtopic to add: i really love that there is always some mystery behind all the recording sessions, album versions, demos and stuff, and i really enjoy discussing about it here on the sacrament, especially during this hiatus or a pause that our darlings have. At least we have something to talk about. Besides that i hope we will maybe figure out more interesting informations, thoughts and ideas and stuff, maybe someone will learn something that didnt know yet. its cool, keep it going fellas
-
I wish And Love Said No (616) and Poison Heart had made it onto the same disc. I want both but they are separate.... oh well.
-
For a moment I thought For You (Acoustic Version) was missing. Then I realised that it's the same as Unplugged Radio live and ACSTC live - G&T Version.
Why on earth do they have to give gazillions of different names to the same songs? >_>

The same reason they have millions of version of the same album :)
-
Well, that's actually something different.
If there's one album with different tracklists, you can look that up and decide if it's worth buying for the 'new' tracks. It's same name - different content.
If you have the same song but give it a new name, you more or less trick people into paying for stuff they already have. That's different name - same content.
Concerning HIM I'm beyond being bothered by that, though. I'll just buy all the things. What annoys me is that I get confused about the various names >.>

The "616" name, originally was given to ALSN (dark light version).
It was continued to be used on the demo versions of the Love Metal tracks which appeared on ULVol.2.
At the same time, those tracks belong to the collection of demos recorded at finnvox studio. This being the reason the used the new title on the re-mastered sets.
The Rappula Tapes and The Hollola Tapes are just different names for the studio which they were recorded. Rappula studio, in Hollola Finland.
Usually if they change the name to a track, it is to suit the release it is on.
-
I see, that makes sense. Thanks for explaning.
I have to admit I didn't exactly think about that. I just looked at the songs and not the different releases.
Still, if I wanted to nitpic a lot, I'd grumble that they could have gone with one name instead of Rappula/Hollovlad/Hollola. (It's all right, I'll shut up. I didn't say anything.)
So For You (Acoustic Version) was changed to (Unplugged Radio Live) to match It's All Tears on ULVol.1, that makes sense. Then both were changed to (ACSTC live - G&T Version) to match the (ACSTC Pascha MMXIV) on the remastered issues, okay.
Do we know what G&T stands for, btw? Is there a particular meaning to Pascha?
Is there an explanation for The Heartless (Space Jazz Dubmen Mix)/(Club Mix)?
The back of the RHIMA CD case says the former, the actual CD the latter. Maybe it was simply to long? The It's All Tears single collection papersleeve and CD both say (Club-Remix).
It's an unnecessary question to ask, I know. I still kinda wonder, though. Can't help it.
You're all trying to find out what was recorded when and where. I can't wrap my mind around different names >.>
-
Do we know what G&T stands for, btw? Is there a particular meaning to Pascha?
Gin and tonic, of course - and Pascha means Easter, and that's when Ville recorded the new bonus acoustic songs.

I may be wrong, but the Space Jazz Dubmen I think is the DJ/producer who remixed the track. And it being a 'Club' style beat, would be the reason for that title. When 'It's All Tears' was supposed to be released as a single, they included this club-remix. probably to make it easier to read and understand and be more digestable to European audiences and consumers. After razorblade romance made its success and RHIMA was released, the Space Jazz Dubmen version was included again, officially making its first release on a HIM single. Later when the Single Collection came out, Its All tears was included, as with Right Here. Both containing their alternative titles of the track, due to times of release, and marketing strategies.

I'm not sure if It's All Tears was ever meant to be released as a commercial single it was released in 1999 as a DJ single in Germany which may be the reason for the club references in the name of the remix.

Also, with the whole 616 thing even though the discussion about it is old now, the And Love Said No 616 Version came out when the news about the 616 number was new, and as we all know Ville was definitely fascinated about it. So, 666 is the old number everyone knows about and 616 is this new number so to speak, so the 616 version of And Love Said No is a new version of an old thing. Then, with Uneasy Listening, the meaning behind 616 basically flipped completely around to mean the first version instead - so the album edition of Buried Alive By Love for example is the technically the 666 version that we all know about, but since 616 is said to have come before 666, the demo version is the beforehand version so it's labeled as 616. I don't know if any of that made any sense to anyone but myself.
Instead of 616 meaning a new take on an old thing, it changed to mean the first incarnation, aka the demo version.

Thanks for the answers, guys :)
As for the Club-Remix, I guess they just didn't bother giving it a fancy name on It's All Tears since it was going to be a DJ promo thing only.
I still don't really see why it's 'shortened' on the RHIMA CD, though.
But I noticed that they wrote Oceans of Wine in quotation marks, like it's not supposed to be an official name. So many unnecessary questions...
Why Gin and Tonic? Could also stand for Gifted and Talented :p
I actually knew that Pascha means easter. But instead of realising that Pascha MMXIV meant it wasn't recorded in 2014 but on Easter 2014 I thought it could have something to do with how 'Pascha' is used in German (It's a term to describe a guy that wants to be waited on hand and foot) or whatever <_<
(Just to make this clear: I didn't think it could have a German meaning, but it's my first language, so I tend to think in it. Even more when I'm as braindead as now.)
I get what you mean with the 666/616 thing.
I guess they just needed to come up with a cool name, because Demo Version is obviously not interesting enough :D

@Kaysa
Whoa now..?? Shortened? What do you mean?
On both IAT and RHIMA cd's they are 3;58 and 3;59 . Only final master differences.
