Houston, but nothing in North Texas? Grr. Guess I'm gonna drive down to H-town.
-
Tuesday is December 10????
-
Oh yeah baby! HIM headliner tour! I'm definitely going to the Cleveland show on march 13th. I'm going to get tickets for floor on Friday when they go on sale to the general public (non citi card holders lol). I don't think they would add a show in Pittsburgh just because the dates around here are booked from the 12th thru the 15th. I'm actually glad I wouldn't have to go to Cincinnati to see them again because that was so much further from me. This really made my day.
Songs I wish they would play that wasn't on the Rock Allegiance Tour-
1. I Will Be The End Of You
2. Sleepwalking Past Hope
3. When Love And Death Embrace
4. The Sacrament
5. Heartkiller
6. Sweet Pandemonium
7. Pretending
8. Heartache Every Moment
9. Bleed Well
10. Razorblade Kiss
This isn't too much too ask for and most of it seems plausible other than the Deep Shadows songs. If you want to share your wish list feel free.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if they use the same set list from the UK tour.
-
Definitely gonna do their Houston Show! I didnt like the Anaheim House of Blues show
Being crammed into a tiny building filled with drunks, metal heads, goths, emos, big fat ugly bitches trying to shove their way to the front wasn't a pleasant night til they played Bleed Well and all was forgiven
-
you guys are lucky that they are doing this US tour that early, i dont know if there will be any proper EU tour late 2014 but i wish you all the best setlist, sound and fun
i hope they wont use the same setlist as the did through the entire 2013
btw - is there anyone who will record any of the shows? i mean the full performance , audio or video?
-
I guess I'm going to the Chicago show. Got a ticket. The setlist better be improved.
-
Houston it is for me too. I wouldn't be surprised if they added in a Dallas/Ft. Worth area show as they go along.
-
You know they will play a different set for tavastia at least... that should determine the set list for 2014 most likely. It would be cool to hear a different cover or even Hand Of Doom or Rebel Yell but that is wishful thinking.
-
March 30 HSBC, Sao Paulo, Brazil
April 01 Teatro Caupolican, Santiago, Chile
April 03 Teatro Flores, Buenos Aires, Argentina
April 04 Teatro Flores, Buenos Aires, Argentina
I'm going to Sao Paulo \o/, maybe i can record full show in audio
-
well i was expecting more dates in South America
-
I'd love to go to Brazil...but not for HIM... 8)
-
Hopefully you guys will get a new setlist for the US tour, i'll be disappointed if they play the same 2013 setlist at Helldone, is anyone on here going?

id like to record the full nyc show (video) as long as the security to complain like last time I have a mic for my ipod for the audio never tried it at a show though so not too sure how good it will be my recorder I used back in the screamworks tour is broke :-\
-
I'll see if I can remember my cam this time around for video. Audio will be done for sure.
-
i dont know if you noticed but : http://www.rockthering.ch/line-up.html (http://www.rockthering.ch/line-up.html)
HIM is going to perform at Rock am Ring 2014 !!! so probably a proshot will be there! ;D
-
I'm quite suprised they are staying out on tour, I thought they would of ended this tour after the South American dates. Hopefully it means they are enjoying touring again and that they keep improving the setlist not go back to last years European and rock allegiance one.
-
yeah we are probably going to see :
BABL
WICKED Game
Join me
All Lips
RHIMA
WINGS of BUTT
YOUR SWEET
KISS OF DAWN
FUNERAL OF HEARTS
on the proshot stream video :) remember this setlist guys - we will compare it then (its a festival :D )
;D
-
The next HIM concert is on Saturday and I'm interested to see if the set will be the same as Tavastia. The set list should reflect onto the US tour. I started a countdown like old times sake for the Cleveland show... 23 Days!

Is it bad that I thought of this when you said Cleveland show?

Not at all... good call lol. I liked Cleveland on Family Guy much better.
-
I would talk like Cleveland to piss off my girl...now I do the Chip Chipperson and she hates that even more.

Wow....just 1 track off the new album? Was this like a warm up show or the real deal?
-
This was the festival itself they are playing a couple of side shows in the week and that should give a better idea of what to expect on the US tour, hopefully for you guys it's better news.
-
*sigh* same ol' shit.
-
they really really need to cut the bullshit and stop the 'play only the popular songs so we can get more fans' set list. I'm sorry, they aren't winning over tons of new fans. In fact, they trimmed off the fat that were the fangirls and fanmoms. So now they are left with really just the hardcore longtime crowd. We've heard all these songs a millions times already. Play shit we haven't heard unless we happened to be at that one random Euro show in 2002 or whatever. I know I'm just preaching to the choir here.
My one problem with this band over the years is they have never ever been creative with their set lists. They've only gotten worse over the years. I'd say the only exciting thing in the last 5-7 years is probably them doing 'Black Sabbath' after FOH
-
Sydney show setlist:
Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly
Right Here in My Arms
Join Me in Death
Your Sweet Six Six Six
Passion's Killing Floor
Poison Girl
Soul on Fire
When Love and Death Embrace
..even without any new album song, without WICKED GAME??? WTF ;D
-
It's a shame really, after hearing how they played "For you" and DIILWU, it made me hope for more rarely played songs to be added to their set. But I guess not. haha

I fell for that after Helldone 2012 when they played Strange World, Sweet pandemonium, GWTS and pretending. At least they didn't play wicked game so that's a positive :D

The Brisbane show was updated on setlist.fm. At least they did two tears on tape songs instead of just all lips go blue. I'm just hoping that they play when love and death embrace for the 2014 US tour.

Right Here in My Arms
Wings of a Butterfly
All Lips Go Blue
Join Me in Death
Your Sweet Six Six Six
Passion's Killing Floor
Wicked Game

Poison Girl

Keep in mind they are playing a smaller set so we will most likely see In Joy and Sorrow, For You or DIILWU on the US tour.

From Janne Tamminen (on Facebook): (https://www.facebook.com/janne.tamminen.666)
"Today when our crew was doing the linecheck at the venue in Melbourne some filthy bastard walked into our dressing room and stole our sound engineer Brad's backbag; Brad lost his two passports with work visas to the places we will be going on this tour in South America, laptop, credit cards, driver's license, ID's, hard disks with the recordings from all the HIM shows last year and what not. Luckily there's a surveillance camera here, so the whole thing has been filmed. I don't have that many friends here, but if the ones I do: Michael James, Simon Shrimp Bizkit, Human Warhead and Robert MacManus could share the photo attached, would be great! Hope to get this scumbag caught! Anyone else can share it too, obviously. Thank you!"

cocksucker.......
i bet he has no clue about what is HIM, and what was on the HDDs , he was mainly probably interested in the devices and stuff
unfortunately all live reocrdings of Wicked game and BABL from 2013 are missing
-
A man wearing a "Juicy Booty" shirt is wrong. Him stealing from HIM is almost worse.
-
Juicy booty shirt, cigarette and a reverse cap. This guy obviously knows his shit.

what is "juicy booty" ?

Ah okay :( Bummer
-
I finally got my ticket in the mail today but it's weird because it says "HIM 2013 U.S. TOUR". The date says 13 MAR 2014 so I don't know how they could fuck that up lol.
I'm thinking that the set will be pretty close to the New Years Tavastia show with the 19 songs or even maybe a few more due to the fact they are headlining. I do like that set but it would be nice to hear I Will Be The End Of You or even a few more surprises.
-
19 songs? keep dreaming buddy
Ville said that in 2013 interview that he is comfortable with shorter 70 minutes sets. When they add solos in wicked game as they are doing it again in Australia and encore song - WLADE with outro jam it is 80 minutes, 16 songs. You can clearly see it, they can perform as long as 20 songs would fit in their time, but they rather do more solos in Wicked game, Kiss of dawn, long intro jam in Funeral of Hearts + first outro, then encore talking and WLADE which is long song and they are doing that longer version and again the second final outro jam.
I am saying it all the time, they are lazy to practice new songs, so they are playing only the same, Poison girl is not new song, they were performing it all the time except for 2013 tour. And you cant compare Helldone setlist with their proper tour, they always play something extra on Helldone - 2009/2010 - And Love Said No, Pretending. 2012/2013 - Sweet Pandemonium, Pretending. 2013/2014 - Death Is In Love With Us, In Joy And Sorrow, For You.
i wonder if they are practicing and making new songs for the new album as they are so inactive in practicing and playing old/new songs on the gigs.
Their concerts are now at its worst with the setlist, but at its best in the sound , Ville is at his best in singing. We cant have everything obviously, but i dont need to hear the same songs again so i will go to the vacation rather then travel to festival in Czech republic to see their "superb" festival setlist.
But it would be nice to have a new album in less than 3 years, what do you think?
-
As much as I would love a new album coming sooner I think the earliest it would come out is December 2015/January 2016, as they seem to be in the studio a full year before it's out so that would require them going into the studio this coming December?
-
dunno, i didnt catch any informations on upcoming album and i am trying to see the new interviews but i have no FB , they have no website (heartagram.com is useless) and the questions in the interviews are always the same, and so do the answers.
Did they announce any fall 2014 tour?
-
I don't think they are planning anything this fall/winter so perhaps they will head into the studio early next year but I can't see a new album coming anytime soon. i think the days of 2 year album cycles are gone.
-
If there's no tours announced for the end of this year or early 2015, I'd say that's when we'll know if they're in the studio. But I think the next album will be either late 2015 or early/mid 2016.
-
They are generally on a 2 year schedule for new albums, barring Gas' injury holding TOT up a year. We will probably see an album a year to 18 months from now, so logically they would be going into the studio in the fall/winter of this year. After sitting out for a long time I don't see them wasting too much time after this tour period before they go back into the studio.
-
who knows, they did DSBH during 2000 RR massive tour, i mean they had few songs from Dark Light in the Fall of 2003!! Drawn and Quartered was written during or shortly after Screamworks tour in 2010 too. Maybe Ville already has some ideas or maybe melodies , lyrics who knows. The thing was always the label, i remember they delayed the release of some album due to some "stronger"artist with the same label, what it was? Dark Light? i cant recall correctly but it is the same everytime, they are done but they need to wait for months to release it, well actually we have to wait for it. ToT was done completely in 2012 (december) , release in the end of April 2013- it is almost half of the year you know. They had some time before Tavastia - almost 2 months, they had time after Tavastia to Australian mini tour - of course they had some vacation , Gas was in Croatia, but they probably rehearsed something in the studio or rehearsal place. i doubt they had to practice their setlist because they are practicing it on every show because they play still the same songs. So maybe there are already some songs recorded as demos. Maybe they will do it in Fall/Winter this year, and maybe after one year from now they will have something new released.
But if there is something they should definitely do, i would say it is another DVD like Love Metal Archives. They did volume 1 from 4 albums and after 8-9 years of active pop career. Now another 4 albums were released from that DVD and another 9 years passed. Its time to please the fans and release something for a Christmas :-D
-
Another archives DVD would be nice. XD But It's like when they played IWBTEOY around christmas 2012, hopefully we'll have a new song around december. :)
-
It would be nice to have singles with bonus tracks again and live songs. The only ones we got so far from the album are hearts at war and passions killing floor from m'era luna and all lips go blue and wings of a butterfly from yourock.tv professionally recorded. I hope there is a broadcast for rock am ring so we can get at least a tears on tape or into the night live recording.
I am ready for a new song too because tears on tape is short minus the fillers and I feel like they have been playing the same songs really as we have mentioned.
-
they are playing Rock the Ring, not Rock Am Ring this year, or did they announce Rock Am Ring too ? i didnt catch
-
Same set the 1st 2 nights
Buried Alive By Love
Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly
Right Here in My Arms
The Kiss of Dawn (extended Jam)
All Lips Go Blue
Join Me in Death
Your Sweet Six Six Six
Passion's Killing Floor
It's All Tears (Drown in This Love)
Soul on Fire
Wicked Game (extended Jam)
Tears on Tape
Poison Girl
For You
The Funeral of Hearts
Encore:
When Love and Death Embrace
Production wise, it's bare bones and boring. Just a ToT background. No fancy lights or anything. The band seems to be in very good spirits and having fun so that's nice to see. There's a few things Ville mumblers in the middle of a few songs and I can't decipher it)

Found some videos from yesterdays show with
some nice quality audio and they have almost the whole show added to thier channel
-
It looks like they played a snippet of in joy and sorrow in the encore before wlade in san fran. That would be so cool if they added that in the set and i'm happy they even kept for you and when love and death embrace on the US set.
-
Hey guys just saw this is happening, should be interesting.

This is cool... I hope we get something like digital versatile doom out of this. I was hoping they would just shoot a dvd or record tonight in Chicago but it says live in studio.
-
Interesting stuff. I wonder if the setlist will be specially changed just for this recording session.
-
i bet its going to be there:

and its going to be one song or two, maybe three if we are lucky
-wicked game, tears on tape, buried alive by love
-
I'm leaving for the House Of Blues Cleveland show tomorrow, I am so ecstatic and they wont be ending with Into The Night and being done in Cincin last year. I will have my friend get photos and video I can upload when I'm back. Haven't seen the Chicago set yet but I'm not expecting any changes really.
-
So, at least we have an idea of when new material will be created.

Chicago was good. I honestly don't remember them playing It's All Tears, though. Which would make sense because it was a two song encore with Into The Night and WLADE. Sorry person above me who mentioned ITN. At least it's the first song in the encore. The encore is definitely right, but don't take my word on IAT. I just can't remember hearing it for whatever reason. Either way, the rest of the setlist was the same, including both the jams for KOD and WG so Ville could go have a cigarette. Both jams were pretty cool, I thought. The band sounded probably the tightest I've ever heard them live personally, so it helped make up for already having seen most of the setlist. For You was pretty cool. They did do what I thought was a weird transition into Soul On Fire. It's like it worked but it was a little off. I didn't know jack about the recording they were doing until it was too late to win tickets. I didn't hear anyone in line mention it at all. I could've swore I saw someone that looked just like Shane from a long time ago that used to post here, but it might not have been him. Weird that I would even remember what he looks like, or at least what I think he does. And that is my review. First time seeing the band in almost four years. Still wish they'd change up the setlist, but they sounded on point, and I guess I was due for another round of live action. If I go the next time they play around here, I'm reserving a balcony spot if I can. I didn't even try to stand in the crowd or get up front this time. I'm too old for that now I feel. I've already been through that experience several times already, and I feel great today as opposed to sore all over.
-
they performed 6 songs at JBTV studios, so i hope we will get them in full HD soon, and all of them
-
I have a set list from JBTV signed by Ville to me for my birthday thanks to a good friend.

Nice dude! Can't wait to see these videos!
-
Cleveland was so amazing and the house of blues shows in clev and vegas are my favorite times ive seen them. They did cut out It's All Tears for Into The Night in the encore before wlade but I didn't mind it at all because that was the only surprise lol. I swear I do like how they jammed for several songs and I sware they did an extended jam of ys666. That was the first time I got to hear wlade and for you live so that was so sick. The trip was amazing but the only thing is they ran out of the cool tshirt so I had to get the one with the owl lol... it's not that bad. It was my eight show and honestly I like the setlist better when you are actually there trust me.
-
Getting excited for my HIM mini-tour next week! Tuesday it's Atlanta, Wednesday driving to Orlando and continuing Thursday to Fort Lauderdale to see the guys with my HIM bestie. We are stoked! I know everyone complains about the song list not being changed up all that much, but honestly, I love them so much live that I really don't even care what they sing. I am bummed they cut out all songs from Screamworks and that they didn't keep Death Is In Love With Us for the US leg of the tour. I am going to try to sneak a recording for the Atlanta show but I know the HOB in Orlando has a strict no camera policy so won't be attempting it there. Not sure about the place they are playing in Fort Lauderdale- never been there - so we'll see. I love comparing notes with other fans - so cool to read everyone's experiences. Looks like they changed up the shirts for the tour though - anyone get any merch?
-
This has been the last couple sets after the California shows. I wonder if anything will be different since they are playing Philly tonight (always a big show cuz of bam) and a second New York after.
Buried Alive By Love
Rip Out the Wings of a Butterfly
Right Here in My Arms
The Kiss of Dawn
All Lips Go Blue
Join Me in Death
Your Sweet Six Six Six
Passion's Killing Floor
Soul on Fire
Wicked Game
Tears on Tape
Poison Girl
For You
The Funeral of Hearts
Encore:
Into the Night
When Love and Death Embrace
And as far as the shirts with the dates here they are... I like the black one better than the owl one but they sold out of the other one by the time I wanted a shirt for the tour.

Back from the nyc show I recorded the whole show in video so in the next couple days I'll be posting it in the media section, honestly an amazing show the sound was the best yet in my opinion of past shows ive been to and so great hearing wlade and for you really wish I was at tonights show too :-\ and also was wondering if anyone from hrre was at the show I feel like I met someone of here before that I was next to in line
-
at least proper video bootleg from US tour 2014, finally :)
you will be rewarded dont be afraid.
did they really retired Its All Tears????
-

did they really retired Its All Tears????
not sure but they didn't play it they played into the night as part of the encore instead
-
I knew I wasn't going crazy when I couldn't remember them playing It's All Tears in Chicago! :) I'd much rather have Into The Night instead. I hadn't heard that one live in person yet until that point. It wouldn't be my first choice, obviously, but it'll do.
-
actually when i heard Into the night in Prague 2013 it was the best part of the concert so far, my GF also said that this was the best moment and the best song in their setlist (and she is not a HIM fan!) and i agree, i dunno why, but this song is pretty powerful after all.
but its just kinda surprising for me that they retired Its All Tears, if there was something that i was sure they will retire after Helldone i was sure that it will be Sleepwalking Past Hope, Death Is In Love With Us, In Joy And Sorrow and For You. I was sure they will keep Poison Girl in their setlist because its kinda classic song and Ville prefers this one , but its the same what i thought about Its All Tears, thats why i am surprised
its like they retired the Funeral of hearts you know, kinda surprising for me. Maybe we will see some other surprise, maybe they will finally retire BABL or Soul On Fire, that would be fantastic if they replaced these two for Death Is In Love With Us and In Joy And Sorrow, or The Sacrament. I remember Bratislava 2005 concert - the best moment - The Sacrament encore song, i was pretty excited when i heard Razorblade Kiss in this pure fucking energic atmosphere (they looked pretty moody and tired but they were strong and Ville was smoking one after another-they looked amazing on stage, cool as fuck) in 2005 and In Joy And Sorrow, but when they came back on the stage and performed The Sacrament as their encore, it was like losing my virginity even stronger, that was just fucking perfect i wish they brought this amazing piece of Love Metal back to the setlist where it belongs
-
I thought for sure they were going to whip out In Joy And Sorrow in Chicago when I read they played a snippet of it before When Love And Death Embrace the concert before in San Francisco. I had no idea they were going to stop playing It's All Tears, though. I think it's definitely time to retire the song, but it was a surprise to me as well. It's actually one of my least favorite HIM songs, so I didn't mind it one bit. I agree with you on Into The Night. It's not a song I thought I would enjoy hearing live as much as I did, but it sounded pretty damn good when I was there. The band as a whole sounded the tightest I had ever heard them before. It helped to make up for the bland setlist, but there's still a ton of changes to it I wish they would make. If only they had kept Death Is In Love With Us and In Joy And Sorrow, it would've been a step in the right direction. My dream setlist is nowhere near realistic, as far as what the band would actually consider doing, but a few of the right changes here and there could go a long way. Bring back I Will Be The End Of You and Strange World too. The setlist would look something like this:
1. Buried Alive By Love
2. Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly
3. Right Here In My Arms
4. Strange World
5. All Lips Go Blue
6. Join Me In Death
7. Your Sweet 666
8. I Will Be The End Of You
9. In Joy And Sorrow
10. Wicked Game
11. Tears On Tape
12. Poison Girl
13. For You
14. The Funeral Of Hearts/Into The Night (they can alternate what they close with on different nights to keep things a little more fresh)
Encore:
15. Death Is In Love With Us
16. When Love And Death Embrace
Something like that, I think, is much better as well entirely plausible given I only used songs they've been playing since their comeback. If I had it my way, the whole thing would look entirely different, but this way it keeps the main hits that the newer and more casual fans wanna hear, but caters pretty evenly to fans like us as well who wanna hear more older and lesser played material.
-
I heard they played its all tears tonight or last night
-
We can only hope they didn't lol. Nah, but it is time to retire a few songs, and that would definitely be one of them. Guess they're just alternating between playing that and Into The Night perhaps, but they'd be better off to give it a rest for a while so something else can take the place of it for now. I'm normally right on top of setlists whenever there's a tour, but I've been behind on this one so far. That setlist.fm website has the wrong setlist for the Chicago show, so I don't really trust it too much. I know it's all just user submitted stuff and anyone can make an account and post/edit them on there, but I'm too lazy to correct it.
I just remembered, tonight was the second show in New York, right? If they took it out the first night, maybe they put it back in just to change things up a little bit so it wouldn't be the exact same setlist. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens on the 18th.
-
yeah, setlist.fm is not 100% truth , there are bullshits on their setlist, for example Heaven tonight - they never performed this one, and it is listed like performed 2 times in 2000, bullshit, they never performed it.
but they did Its All Tears last night in the second NYC show, there is a video on the youtube from it.

Just got home from a week long birthday celebration and HIM-fest! I saw the Atlanta, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale shows- did record the entire Atlanta show but will have to check and see how it turned out. Tried recording a few songs at the Fort Lauderdale show on my new iPhone and once I figure out that too I will share with you all.
They played the exact same set list all 3 nights but I thoroughly enjoyed it - they guys really seemed like they were having a great time on stage. They sounded amazing and I'm already having withdrawals!
Here is the list of songs they played, same as the other shows I believe:
Buried Alive By Love
Rip Out The Wings Of A Butterfly
Right Here In My Arms
Kiss of Dawn
All Lips Go Blue
Join Me In Death
Your Sweet 666
Passion's Killing Floor
Soul on Fire
Wicked Game
Tears On Tape
Poison Girl
For You
The Funeral Of Hearts
Into the Night
When Love And Death Embrace
-
I've always wanted to do a little road trip to multiple shows like that, but it hasn't happened yet. Glad to see you had fun. Happy birthday, by the way. What did you use to record the Atlanta show?
-
Happy birthday Jeanette !
can you share Atlanta show with us?
-
You should upload it to Dime A Dozen so myself and others can download it. No media section access on this account. Speaking of that, there is a flaw that you mods should check out pertaining to the media section. I made a topic about it.
-
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I don't mind sharing what I captured at all- just can't guarantee what quality it will be. I do have a really nice dslr camera but I'm always terrified to take it to a concert because it was pretty pricey. I took my little point and shoot camera and also tried some recording from my new iPhone for some songs. When I get unpacked and situated I'll post what I can. Since I can't post in the media section (not sure why) just send me a PM and I'll send a link.

It looks like they played the full 3 songs for the first encore (IAT, ITN, WLADE) and did sleepwalking past hope for a second encore in the 3 Mexico shows. So jealous they didn't do that in the U.S. shows because I missed the venus doom tour and didn't get to hear it live.
-
I've never been a fan of Sleepwalking, honestly. After the first half of it, I just get bored. It's cool in its own right, but I think I would like it more if it stopped right at that spot you think it's going to stop before it keeps going. It feels like a completed song at that point to me, and then the rest is just kinda unnecessary.
Kinda random, but it's 4:30 in the morning and I'm bored. I was just browsing around the official Facebook for the band, and never have I felt so out of place as a fan. Sometimes I can't believe I'm such a fan of a band where the majority of their fanbase is young girls. Not like it really matters in the end, but whenever I see something like that I can't help but think how weird it is. I'm glad the band is popular enough to have such a diverse fanbase, but they're the only band I listen to with such young female fans like that. Kinda like a gothic N'Sync. Like I said, it's not a bad thing, I just can't help but notice it because I keep getting older and the girls keep getting younger.

Random Bored Fact Of The Day: There is a difference of only five songs between the setlist recorded for Digital Versatile Doom at the end of 2007, and the setlist the band uses today. Three of the songs are Venus Doom songs, which was the album being promoted at that time, and they've been replaced with three Tears On Tape songs, which is the album being promoted now. The other two songs came from Dark Light, and they've been replaced by two songs from Greatest Lovesongs instead. Thinking about it like that just really drives home the point that the setlist today is almost the exact same as the setlist of almost seven years ago.

when HIM performs for the first time in Chile, this happens the exact same night - http://edition.cnn.com/2014/04/01/world/americas/chile-earthquake/ (http://edition.cnn.com/2014/04/01/world/americas/chile-earthquake/)
at least nothing hapenned to our guys

That's crazy! Just glad they were okay. Very sorry for anyone in the area where the earthquake happened. Mother Nature is one freaky chick!

Anyone know if there is any more to this floating around?

Not unless YouRock.TV posts more.
-
and just a small add, its not 2014 live, but its 2013 (Milan, Alcatraz)
-
Anyone seen the latest setlist? I forgot they were even playing today. I'm about to go on a search for it. Crazy how hard it is now to find credible setlists compared to how it used to be. Most are wrong. People are always getting songs confused and mixed up.
-
LOL they performed Wicked Game obviously - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCMKRM7_H6Y#ws (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCMKRM7_H6Y#ws)
but check the Mige´s T-shirt, its from Rock Pop festival 2002 Festival in SLOVAKIA (my country) , LOL with the beer brand on the front
amazing to see him wearing the festival shirt where they performed 12 years ago
nice solo in the wicked game
-
The start of that jam was pretty rad. They've actually all been pretty good lately, the ones I've listened to at least. They need to start incorporating some of that stuff into their actual songs. Why doesn't Ville just smoke on stage, though? At most places in the US, he can't, so I understand the cigarette breaks there, but it seems like smoking on stage at this festival would've been fine, but of course I don't actually know that for sure as a fact. Either way, I wonder if the band ever gets annoyed by it sometimes. The jams are probably pretty refreshing for the most part for the band after playing the same songs over and over again for years, but the purpose of it seems like it might get annoying to them every once in awhile to have to do it for that particular reason.
Any changes to the setlist at all? That's probably a really silly question. I was gonna track down the setlist last night, but then I realized I really have no idea where to look anymore, besides YouTube I guess, and just adding up the songs from there unless someone taped the show in full. I mainly look at that setlist.fm nowadays, but it's always filled with errors. I was going to correct the Chicago show the last time I was on there since that was wrong, but I never got around to it. One day, if I get really bored, I'm gonna go through the entire thing and fix everything. We should all start doing that, just a few shows here and there starting from the oldest and working our way towards the newest.
So far, all I've seen on YouTube is: Buried Alive By Love, Wicked Game, Join Me, Wings Of A Butterfly, and Poison Girl. I watched a bit of BABL. Ville didn't seem into it at all, plus he can't really sing it with conviction anymore like he used to. Just judging by what's been uploaded so far, I'd imagine nothing different or new was played.

excellent! proshot and soundboard! i mean this is what i was waiting for since their comeback
can anyone rip it somehow? ? ?
-
If anybody is afraid of missing it, Moshcam upload all of their recordings to youtube. Just in case anybody is unaware of who moshcam are.
-
What a way to celebrate America, watch a Finnish band play a concert in Australia. I'll just rip the audio. I'm not too interested in actually watching the band nowadays when it comes to bootlegs, nor was I ever, but now especially with the terrible lack of stage presence since Ville isn't drunk off his ass anymore.
-
The full Sydney gig is finally here:

-
I've had a listen to a couple of the songs and they sound good, I think this is our first full soundboard recording since Rock Am Ring 2010 if I'm not mistaken which is great. Hopefully we can get more of this sort of thing.
-
Two things:
1. Was anyone else's video and audio completely out of sync? It was so far off for me that it was actually kind of funny to watch. I made it through the first three songs while I was recording the audio before I started watching Ghost Adventures instead and let the recorder run.
2. Did anyone else think Ville sounded pretty bad? He just can't sing like he used to. It isn't even just songs like Buried Alive By Love anymore, Wings Of A Butterfly and Right Here In My Arms sounded pretty much the same way. When you're there live, he sounds good enough, and if you watch a video on YouTube that someone recorded from a concert, you can't tell a difference really, but when you hear his voice recorded directly like with this concert, it's instantly noticeable and a bit depressing in a way. He hasn't lost it completely yet, but you can hear how much he's straining for certain parts of songs, and for some parts he doesn't even try to hit the notes and just sings in a low voice instead. It's been that way for awhile now, as far as him not being able to sing certain parts or substituting those parts with low parts, but like I said, it's really noticeable with this concert. There's also a lack of emotion and energy from him. I don't know if that's because he doesn't drink or get drunk before and during shows anymore or what, but that energy and emotion is something I miss, even if it was due to alcohol. They all sounded great in Chicago when I saw them, though, so this recording doesn't really do a whole lot of justice with replicating the live experience. While the band does sound tighter than ever, I think, it's almost like they're too rehearsed with the songs they're playing just because they've played them so much. Live music isn't supposed to be perfect, and it's almost like the band is made up of robots playing the exact same thing night after night with no imperfections, and that isn't very entertaining, IMO. Ville's voice directly from the soundboard still bothers me, though. I was all for the band releasing their soundboard recordings somehow, even though I know they will never do something like that, but hearing this concert makes me think twice if I would pay for something like that without something done to fix some things, specifically Ville's voice.
According to a review online, No Love was played at Sonisphere. If that is indeed true, I need to hear that sumbitch.

No Love:

I liked it. Hopefully a better quality recording comes along, though.
I watched the one from HIM Norway, which I guess is the same one as the link above. They re-uploaded it to their account, which is kinda stupid and unnecessary.
-
after a lot of struggle with my Windows, i finally had some time to listen properly to the Metro, Sydney 2014 concert from moshcam.com
well without mentioning the fact that i was totally bored because of the terrible setlist and the most overplayed songs in it, i have to admit that after maybe hour of thinking i realised that i missed Burton in it, only few moments in the entire performance where you can actually hear burton is making it like Burton was just some support musician to make some backround to the songs
no wonder why Burton looks like he doesnt even want to be on the stage
i hope i wont touch anyone with this, but Ville sounds bad, just listen to the soundboard recording that is the true mirror of the band , he maybe sounds good in the venue in the loudness when you are standing in the crowd and everyone around you is singing, now i am afraid that he is really losing it, he sounds like he was singing through the nose, very very bad habbit- where is his deep beautiful voice?
they should retire Buried Alive By Love - he is not able to sing it anymore, its very bad to listen to it, Right Here In My Arms - very much nose in his singing and voice, very funny and not very good to my ears. All Lips Go Blue - his voice is very shaky - is he so insecure?
When love and death embrace - another very bad voice affected by his nose singning. I could continue repeating myself in different songs, but i rather dont want to.
i agree with Cory to the last word.
if they want to reclaim their excellent live form, they should retire 90% of the setlist , add more songs with the dominant keyboards melodies and parts (at least the Sacrament), they should practice and play the songs that Ville can handle properly and he can hit the tones properly. I am glad that he is sober, but i liked him more when he was wasted on stage, enjoying it and giving everything to the performance. The best years - the end of 2003 and the entire 2004.
its the middle of the summer almost, when they will show us the tracklists of the promised re-issues of the first four albums?
i dont know if their label just sucks so bad, or they dropped the idea of releasing these reissues
-
I've just about given up all hope with those damn re-issues. I think they're still coming, but I also wouldn't be surprised to never hear another word about them again. I find it funny that Ville's so uncomfortable with releasing demos because they're unfinished products, yet he allows a concert in which he sounds terrible for the most part to get put online. He sounds a million times better in all the demos I've heard, plus those are what fans actually want. I've liked every demo I've ever heard more than the finished version, and I think a lot of fans would say the same. Their demos are fucking great. Now that I'm older and can see through all the bullshit, a lot of the things this band does just doesn't make any sense at all to me.
And yes, I was advocating to hear the recordings the band has been making, but I didn't expect Ville to sound that bad since it's been awhile since we've heard a straight soundboard recording. I've been advocating for demos longer, though, and that's what I truly want. If they cancel these re-issues, or even if they just suck and have nothing good on them, I'll be pissed as a longtime fan that thinks other longtime fans should get something they've been wanting desperately and something they deserve for always supporting the band and doing it in such a big way for years now. The band already forgets about us when they make their tour setlists. They need to make up for it somehow if they want to keep us around. That is, if they even care about us anymore.
-
They don't care about us anymore.
-
They don't care about us anymore.
Certainly appears to be the case.
-
How can you guys give up so easily? It's been projected to come out around September and we're not even near that yet, but everyone is already losing hope. Could it be promoted better? Sure, but ToT wasn't even promoted that great and it seemed like it was released as soon as it was announced... There were only a few months that we had to wait for it before it released. We first hear about this in March in which they said "SUMMER"... It hasn't been long at all and we're only halfway into summer.

Good point, we do still have quite a bit of summer left...I don't really doubt that they will be released, but I'll just be very surprised if the reissues include any "interesting" bonus material.
-
It will be released in Autumn ;)
Patience!
Btw, The End Records are making the "official" playlist of the first albums on youtube and there are a "Omega Order" icon that was shown up a message as "coming soon" (and then they added a link with some HIM stuff).
-
The official playlists are a great idea. While I'll never listen to my HIM albums via that method, it's nice that there is a high quality way through the label to hear the tunes.
-
It seems like they're gearing up for SOMETHING now, which is good. God forbid they spend any money to let people know about these, though. I just wanna see some tracklists. That's all I really care about right now. They could give the tracklists and say "coming in 2015" and I would be ok with that. I just wanna know what we're getting at this point. I'm still not holding my breath that these will be any good, though. Ever since that remix album came out and the band left Warner Bros., things have been a disappointment, in my opinion. I know not everyone feels the same. I can't even remember the last time I listened to anything on Tears On Tape. I was excited as hell for that album, and I loved it at first because it was finally something new, but now it's just kinda there. I don't love it. I don't hate it. I just don't ever listen to it. I don't wanna get too excited for these re-issues and then be let down again, especially when they could contain songs I've always wanted, as well as other songs I never even knew existed but could be just as fucking awesome. It seems like the band's way of catering to us nowadays is to give us the option of buying whatever it is in a vinyl format. That's our prize. I have several HIM vinyls, and I don't even own a record player. I have them just to have them, basically. They're cool in a way, but like the Tears On Tape vinyl for example, it's just the same damn thing as what's on the CD. It isn't mastered differently, or it doesn't sound different or anything like that. It's the CD version put onto a vinyl. The only different version of Tears On Tape there is, is the Mastered For iTunes version, which is only a bit better than everything else, but not better enough that you're gonna notice the difference and want to go on iTunes and get it if you don't already have it.
-
Did they seriously already drop No Love? What the hell is with this band? They might as well just play Wings Of A Butterfly sixteen times and call it a night. :P I hate it when they play a new or different song once (or a few times at the very most at something like Helldone) that would be a welcomed addition to the stale setlist, and then they just stop playing it. They do it way too often nowadays. It's especially bad when they play something right before they head over here to the US, and then we don't get it once they're here. That's not the case now, obviously, but it's been like that many times before.
-
its a shame!
terrible, i have no words, its nice that they did 18 songs on one festival performance, BUT they did JUST THE SAME OVERPLAYED shitty songs that i cant even listen anymore
-
Since you all have been talking about this in this topic if like to chirp in, if I may. About the re-release of the first four albums and the supposed "b-sides". I was pretty hopeful that they would be releasing a bunch of cool b-sides but with this new evidence I've come to the notion that we will once again be fucked as always and I hope they surprise me but I doubt we're going to get anything good on these now, now for my theory. I had recently joined spotify premium and when I started saving all the HIM catalog and love said no was available with the two bonus tracks "And Love Said No" and "Solitary Man" this past week or so I noticed that those two songs have been removed from spotify (still listed in the album but unavailable for playing or streaming.) so I liked up why songs become unavailable on iTunes or Spotify because and love said no has been missing from iTunes for quite some time now as well, and every search result in some way or another has said because spotify or iTunes had been requested by the rights holders of the music for them to be taken down. So my guess is they had them taken down so they can re-release them as "b-sides"with these new delux versions of the first four albums. So were looking at probably the bonus songs from the singles box set, alsn and sm as our "b-sides folks. I know this is just an assumption right now but I have a bad feeling.
-
You're probably right, Len. Unfortunately. I know this for sure, though - they won't be getting ANY money from me this time around unless there's some new music on them that I want to hear. I encourage everyone else to stay away from them too if they don't contain any unreleased material. The vinyls might be tempting to some if you don't already have them because you can get them cheaper this way, but fuck vinyls lol. They'll probably still sell decent regardless, at least by modern day HIM standards, because fangirls will be fangirls and there's still enough people that jump on everything the band releases just to have it all (like how I used to be) but I implore everyone to only make the purchase if the purchase is actually justified. Even with the shitty new label and their lack of promotional efforts, I just think there would be much more hype for these if they were going to be the way that we want them to be. It feels like it's been forever since the digital versions came out of nowhere and they announced the physical versions for the Summer along with them. The fact that everything still remains a mystery with these leads me to believe that they're just going to be a way for new fans to be able to go to the store and get a physical copy of the albums like back in the day with the Universal US releases (except with bonus tracks that are already on other discs this time around) as opposed to downloading them from iTunes or Amazon or whatever. It's fucking disappointing.
-
why dont we write a letter about all this and send it to Gas from the name of all?
-
i think he got plenty of messages of this kind
its sad, i dont understand why they are so changed, it is like they were doing it (mostly i am talking about gigs) just for money and not for the fans, or at least i feel it this way, i am taking it as they were not giving a shit about fans at all (setlist, no website, lousy communication, terrible interaction during the concert between the songs with the audience)
but what grinds my gears the most is their setlist, its the overplayed song too from my side, i am bitching all the time, but i cant help it, they can play like from CD with no mistakes in songs and with the best brilliant splendid sound and lights show and projection and whatever but i still consider their current setlist as their most terrible and most static, boring and overplayed, its just too much for me, over and over the same songs, 90% of their discography songs are retired for good i fear
I think nowadays its pointless to follow them on tour and attending more than one show, they are all exactly the same, so if you saw one concert, you know how it will look like for the rest of the tour, unfortunately they changed it only a little from last year - yeah they already retired "I Will be the end of you" or "Hearts at war" and added OVERPLAYED Poison Girl :-D At least they did "No Love" once on festival.... and after that one time they probably retired it too
what else should i say? i dont know its a huge BURN from them and i think we dont deserve that
but i sometimes hear how amazing their setlist is and how excellent they are at the moment, so everyone just has a different opinion and i respect that, for me their best was 2004 altough i love all Dark Light live era and pre - RR Era from 1998

I've spoken to Gas privately on Facebook before. I told him exactly what we want and why we want it so bad. He knows. The rest of the band knows. I'm also always leaving comments on his Facebook page about the setlist and things like that - asking him if they're going to change it this time around, telling him how it needs to be changed after they end up not modifying it, letting him know that we all enjoyed the one new song they finally added randomly, asking him why they already dropped the new song they just added...lol...the list just goes on and on. My comments are usually lost in the shuffle of a hundred 14 year old Spanish girls wanting an almost 40 year old man named Ville Valo to know that they love him and that the music he creates is just background noise to cause their thoughts to wander about making out with him or some shit. I usually end up with a few likes at the end of the day, but there's no way we can fight against those types of people anymore. They outnumber us by way too many now. It was easy and fun back in the day to send a "fan" like that packing if they starting talking about anything other than the music, but you'd be in the minority now if you're talking about anything other than how much you love Ville.
-
i would say that Gas loves to play any song on the concert, look on some videos and you will see his passion , he is a man! i would say that the setlist is mainly Ville´s work and the rest just play it , thats my opinion because i dont see any point on Burton making this setlist where he is almost unused on keyboards.....
but Ville has no social media stuff, i bet he has a cellphone as he always said he hates it and he doesnt know how to use it :-D last time i saw some interview where he explain that he needs no facebook and stuff like that because he is with his friends daily and he doesnt need to chat with them online
what about sending him a letter :-D i mean the old school paper letter, we know his adress in Helsinki :-D if we signed it under one name an explained how we old fans feel about the situation ? but i am afraid that he is getting hundreds of letters from all the girls that love him and want him
Or lets contact HIM Norway guys, they did few interviews with them, maybe they will attend some of the upcoming concerts, maybe they could ask about some things personally ?
since that i got reply from italian guys from rockTV? or what it was, the guys who did recordings on HIM concert in Milan, Alcatraz 2013 - remember? ALl Lips Go Blue and Wings of a butterfly - pro , they also did an interview where Buried alive by love parts took a place, so i asked them about if they recorded "I will be the end of you" and after some time i finally got the response few days ago , they told me they were authorised to record just 3 songs - BABL, Wings and ALL LIPS , they uploaded just two because BABL is full of mistakes, i asked them if they somehow managed to record I will be the end of you but no positive response, as i was told, HIM´s tour manager gave them permission to record just these 3 songs, i doubt they will upload at least BABL too
btw guys ,do you remember them to perform in JBTV in Chicago? What hapenned ? i am checking it sometimes and there are still no uploads from HIM performance, all the rest unknown bands for me have their videos uploaded from JBTV. I wonder if HIM´s tour manager also is behind that they still didnt upload any of HIM video from the performance - i dont even know what was the setlist on this
Cory you are from Chicago right? i bet you can send them a message and ask them in JBTV?

616, I'll send out a message on Facebook to them and see if I get any response. Seems like the easiest way to do it.

This website is moving slow as hell all of a sudden today.
But anyways, it shows on Facebook that someone read my message around three hours ago, but they never replied to it. All I said was that I'm a huge HIM fan, and I was wondering what happened to the footage of the performance at the studios from earlier this year, if it's still in the plans to release it or if something went wrong with it. If they're not at liberty to say anything about it, they could at least tell me that. It's not like I'm going to magically forget that they recorded a short set there and that we were supposed to be able to watch it online afterwards. There's no need to be all "hush hush" about it. If the footage turned out shitty, that's ok. If it didn't turn out shitty, but they just decided not to release it for the hell of it, that's ok too. Let the fans know, though.
-
its all weird what is going on around HIM since they signed the new label
i dont need to talk about how i consider their advertisemend lousy and bad , counting on facebook .....
i hope you will get reply soon Cory, you did a great job ,thank you
and i love your attitude
-
Still no response. I'm tempted to send another message, but I don't want to come off as an annoying asshole, even though I can be. I think it would be better if a few other people sent messages as well. If they ignore all of us, then they're the assholes. Maybe they didn't know that Facebook shows you when your sent messages have been read, so I can clearly see that someone took the time to look at it but not the time to say anything back. Any answer would've been better than nothing. At least The End Records emailed me back when I asked for more information on the deluxe re-issues months ago, even though their answer was the typical “more information will be released later” kind of crap. I was honestly surprised, though, although I'm sure very few people email them and they probably get all excited when they see one. If only they could do a better job with pretty much everything else. They might go from a shitty label to just a below average label if they tried harder.
-
I'm using google translate and it looks like we might get a live stream for tomorrow's show in Lithuania.
All festival concerts will be broadcast live for the first time in "Five TV to viewers who were not able to come to KARKLAS propose the most famous performers, direct interviews with musicians, actors and festival showcasing all of the most interesting" Karkle Live Music Beach backstage.
Live broadcast will be available at the sites and scena.lt delfi.tv since August 14 th day.
http://scena.lt/ (http://scena.lt/)
I have to work tomorrow, maybe someone here can rip it, please.
-
I was able to record the karkle live stream (only audio because when filming the screen it goes very very laggy) but i got ill and my stomach hurt so much that i couldn't do anything :(
I do not know if this is worth posting thing, but I was so annoyed and tired.
Very strange, sorry :-\ :P
-
This has been ripped successfully by a few people (including me) and will be posted later in the media section I guess. :)
-
of course it will be posted in media very soon
only few edit works needed and then it will be there
i captured both audio stream separately and the video stream separately
we need to edit the audio because it was at first very low and they turned it up furing the second half of the performance
-
Ok, its already on youtube in saintscreamofficial's channel :P
-
I watched the St Scream rip on youtube this morning, it's pretty good.
Wish I could have watched it live.
-
I wish they would've played No Love or at least something else different so we'd have a high quality version of something like that.
-
Hopefully they change the setlist a little its basically just the same as its been of course they'll probably play something rare at helldone of course since I cant go :( I am happy I got to hear for you though

LOVE METAL ARCHIVES TOUR ANNOUNCED
12/09 WEBSTER HALL, NEW YORK
12/10 HOUSE OF BLUES, BOSTON, MA
12/11 STARLAND BALLROOM, SAYREVILLE, NJ
12/12 THE FILLMORE, SILVER SPRING, MD
12/16 THE WILTERN, LOS ANGELES, CA
12/17 MARQUEE THEATRE, TEMPE, AZ
12/18 HOUSE OF BLUES, SAN DIEGO, CA
12/19 HOUSE OF BLUES, LAS VEGAS, NV
8 shows is ridiculous to call a tour... they better add more dates. The name of this tour sounds so fucking good. I'm pissed they could have at least came back to the Cleveland house of blues since it seems like they will never play in Pittsburgh again. I'm more interested in seeing this than ordering this Die-hard fan bundle. It looks like I'm going to have to start saving up to possibly go to Silver Springs, MD for this one.
-
I'm not going to read into the tour title at all. Considering they play greatest hits anyways, I don't expect what they are promoting to change the set more than 1 or 2 songs.
In a perfect world they would only play GLS>LM material.
-
hope all you US heads went to http://www.applauze.com/tours/him (http://www.applauze.com/tours/him) and got your waaaay cheaper presale tickets today
-
In a perfect world they would only play GLS>LM material.
EXACTLY!!!! but i cant imagine their setlist without Rip out the wings of a butterfly or VD songs, but they should do more of these oldies - DSBH MOSTLY! as its the most ignored album by the band :-D they titled reissues as Lashes to ashes, so the could play Heartache every moment. I remember i was hoping for this song to be performed in Bratislava back in 2005 when i saw they did it few times in 2005 before and i was so sad when they skipped this one :(
-
I'm just pissed they aren't coming to Texas again. Any time they do these short tours they skip us, WTF.
-
Is anyone else from Europe a little annoyed that we haven't got any dates on this tour and probably won't until the new album comes out in maybe 2016, I know it's a US release but they could of done a couple of European shows.
-
Helldone is the week after the US shows.
-
no i am not pissed at all, its US release, they are promiting it in US because they never really had a real opportunity to promote these albums in US ,except for 2004 tour
We had a huge tour all these early years so it woul be pointless to make a tour in EU again for these albums and for US release :)
this is not a real tour, and it makes sense that they are promoting the US release in the US and not in EU
and dont be afraid there are still countries and places that they skipped or didnt play for more than a decade or so
its good as it is , but if they will perform the same setlist in the US tour as they did in 2013 and 2014 that would be a HUGE FAIL
-
Wow. You guys aren't kidding about being hardcore fans. I think it is amazing that some of you have seen the band eight times or follow them around a few cities even. I consider myself SUPER lucky I even got to see them once. It seems like they play a lot of the same places which are mostly larger cities. I was lucky that Ville got sick (yes, I know that is terrible to say but shit happens) after the first Tears On Tour dates came out. If they had been headlining still I never would have gotten to see them. But then they were co-headlining with Volbeat who was playing a way more widespread venue so I got to see them after all. I didn't really care about the set list much. I was just happy to even be in the same place as them at the same time. I have only ever been out of my state for school field trips and have never been on a plane so sometimes even with the internet Finland seems so far away. At least the show I was at sounded fine although a lot of the stuff I saw after that Ville seemed very tired. At the show we even got a nipple flash during BABL. =) Sadly, I have no video or photos from it. (My camera had been stolen and I hadn't had funds to replace it) Couldn't get merch either because all my money went into tickets. Gas put up a nice photo and post about the gorge near the amphitheatre on his Facebook though. It really is a beautiful place and I was looking at it wondering if they thought so too. I know at least Gas thought so. =) https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/p403x403/1003392_497029143725161_111250603_n.jpg?oh=c5333e982726bdcc37dd92bd5e316086&oe=54B28D20&__gda__=1420755489_80f241c3419b1a10cb54b05d0e975c2d (https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/p403x403/1003392_497029143725161_111250603_n.jpg?oh=c5333e982726bdcc37dd92bd5e316086&oe=54B28D20&__gda__=1420755489_80f241c3419b1a10cb54b05d0e975c2d)

I'm glad you enjoyed your show I only saw them for the 1st and 2nd time in March 2010 now I have seen them 10 times and will be 11 after Helldone this year(4xHelldone 2012,Dingwalls,Wolverhampton, Cardiff and NYE 2013)

I wanna go to Helldone so bad :-[
-
At least once before the band calls it quits, I'd like to fly to Helsinki to see the New Year's show. It isn't quite the same dream of mine that I had as a young fan when it was something I couldn't wait to do once I finally turned 18, but I think it would still be a cool experience nonetheless. I hope they pull out all the stops this year and bring the show back to what it used to be in the "glory days" and before they implemented the festival. I'm glad they're only doing one show. Along with how they've talked it up, it gives me hope that the setlist will be something truly special again. If they can impress me, maybe I'll see what I have to do in order to fulfill that dream eight years after the fact next year if they play.

Honestly you should both go for it if you have the opportunity, yes it is expensive especially for you guys from the US but it really is worth it having gone myself in 2012 having thought its something to say I've done I'm on my way back for the 3rd year in a row and hopefully many more. Yes I agree perhaps Helldone isn't what it used to be/setlist is boring but once you're there it is amazing!

If I don't ever go, I know I'll end up regretting it later on once they stop doing the shows altogether, but on the other hand it's hard for me to justify spending so much money to fly to a different country to see a show that isn't very much different from a basic HIM show nowadays. If they could just open their eyes and realize that not everyone in the audience is a first timer to a HIM concert, it'd be a no-brainer to go eventually. I don't see how the band doesn't get tired of playing the same old songs over and over again on tour for years, but I've complained about the setlist more than enough and I don't need to continue that lol.
-
If they have the luxury of doing a farewell tour and a final show...I'm there. Don't care if it's Finland, Africa, Antarctica...I will do whatever is needed to make myself be there.
-
The openers for the upcoming LM archives tour were posted... Motionless In White and Wounds. I just saw MIW with a day to remember and they were pretty good but I know nothing about Wounds.
I don't want to think about a farewell tour for a long time lol. That is pretty sick how this tour is so close to Helldone. I hope they play a decent set with 2 openers for this tour. Going to the Silver Spring, MD show for sure

Same here. Even if they announce beforehand that they plan on playing Buried Alive By Love and Wicked Game over and over again for an hour and a half, I'll still be there.

Just bought a ticket for the Las Vegas show! :)

no problem, and i know only a week til i go to starland we should get a little preview of some songs tomorrow hoping for some good ones

no single word about the leaked Razorblade Romance demos , interesting
i hope tomorrow they will perform some very cool songs
* - i never knew that The Heartless was THAT old! nice!

I doubt he knows I don't think we should be too concerned if the setlist from London is the same old as they're a support act, the USA tour will give us a true idea.

Lenny is going to hide it in a secret spot, much like Walken hid the watch in Pulp Fiction...
-
:-* you tapers i love you in advance for your recordings
but i think they will perform something different on Shepherds bush, i think they already practiced and there would be no point to play the same setlist as they did , i think they will do The Heartless, The Sacrament and i think we will hear something from this duo: Razorblade Kiss/Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart
-
no single word about the leaked Razorblade Romance demos , interesting

You didn't know Ville wrote the song during his teen years? ;)
-
The heartless is one of those songs I'm not that interested in hearing live For you was the one I wanted from GLS and we got that last year. if you could all pick just one song to hear on this tour what would it be? Scared to Death for me.
-
I really want to hear Sweet Pandemonium! ;D

no i didnt know that it was 1991 or 1992, its an old song indeed, released on demos from early years, but i thought it was from the year when the demo was recorded
this is surprising for me i mean i bet 1993 but not even earlier

Oh. Yeah, I know he's mentioned that it's the first song he wrote. I believe he mentioned it in an interview where he talked about getting drunk and making out with a girl, then throwing up. Haha
-
thats why i should start watching and reading interviews ;D obviously i missed a lot of funny moments and stories ;D
-
If the band is telling the truth about playing old songs, then I'm looking forward to hearing them live again. If they bust out with the same old drab setlist...then ugh. I don't even care about which songs they play, if it's fresh, it'll be awesome.
-
they did :
gone with the sin
razorblade kiss
waiting for more info but i am going to the bed
-

well they did the sacrament, gone with the sin, and razorblade kiss its a start of some different songs we'll see what tomorrows is
-
the sacrament opening? thats new... i hope they have more reserved to US tour
-
I like the additions they made to the set but this only a 12 song set since they are the opener for fields of the nephilem. The set should at least be 16-20 songs for the LM archives tour. Opening with The Sacrament is a shock but they don't always have to open with BABL. We will see if the second show is any different.
-
well i hope they will play something different tonight
its weird that they skipped your sweet 666 and join me !!! but the worst overplayed songs still remained in the setlist (babl, rotwoab, wicked)
i like that they played a lot of tracks from RR. No single song from DSBH,Screamworks and TOT is odd. Actually i am surprised that they already skipped all the ToT songs as its their latest album. i was expecting that they will retire most of the songs from Tot but they will still play Tears On Tape song or All Lips Go Blue.
it was just a short setlist because they were not the headliners , so i think they have more aces prepared for the fans for the upcoming mini tour
i still hope for the Resurrection >:(
huge + for the Razorblade Kiss, but huge - for the BABL,ROTWOAB,WICKED GAME,KISS OF DAWN,RHIMA,SOF,FUNERAL
i was really hoping that they will perform Heartache Every Moment, or at least some DSBH song, what the hell is with them? DSBH is a great fucking amazing album, OK maybe not their favorite because of the behind the scenes troubles they had with the label but the songs are great.
VILLE just ADD these - Resurrection, Heartache Every Moment and retire fucking wicked game , try some different cover - Enjoy the Silence would be cool
-
Nice to see gone with the sin and sacrament back from Helldone 2012 and Razorblade Kiss :D hopefully we get a few more oldies for the US tour and Helldone, I'm surprised heartache wasn't played but I expect we'll see it soon. Id like something from dark light such as killing loneliness or vampire heart and please something from screamworks even heartkiller would be good.

at least someone, it looks like HIM tapers died completely for good
-
I coulda sworn they played Razorblade Kiss here in the states in recent years. I know I've seen them do it at some point
-
Great to hear Razorblade Kiss, Gone With the Sin, and When Love and Death Embrace tonight. The band played well, but they were no match for the Nephs.
-
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how well Ville's voice held up during the choruses. Hopefully they keep it around for a while and it doesn't end up eventually sounding like Buried Alive By Love. I don't really like what they did to the end of the song where it builds back up to the chorus, though, but that's just a minor complaint. I hope the US setlist isn't just these shows with the regular songs added back on to make up a full headlining show.
-
Cory are you going to see them ?

It has got to be a huge honor for HIM to be playing with them! I wish these two bands would tour together in the states....I would travel pretty far to see that!

I really want to just wait and be surprised when I see them Friday in MD but it's really tempting to look at that first NY gig set. I haven't watched any videos from London but every ones reviews sound good.
-
Cory are you going to see them ?
Nah, they aren't coming anywhere close to here and no traveling for me. I hibernate in the wintertime anyways, so it's kind of a good thing.
Have any of the shows even sold out? I just looked at the first three and it looks like there's still tickets available for each. You don't often see that with New York and Boston shows, or any show for that matter really this close to when they actually are. There was also a post I saw from The End Records on Facebook the other day where they put an envelope with a couple of tickets at some store in New York for somebody to find. It had been 15 hours since they posted it and there was only a couple of random comments on the photo. I wonder if anyone ended up going to get them or if they're still just sitting there lol. I haven't looked since, but I had to facepalm when I saw the pic and it was like no one cared. Granted, I don't know how many people follow them on Facebook, but I saw the pic as a re-posting from the Heartagram Team page. It would sort of make sense if the show isn't sold out, but I hope someone finally went into whatever store it was and snagged them for free.
EDIT: I just looked again and I still don't see anything about anyone finding them and being gone. :-\ You'd think someone would comment that they got them or they'd update the status and say that they're gone now, but hopefully someone did actually pick them up.

It's a Christmas miracle!!!! I'm so happy I got this mic now!😀😀😀😀😀😀
-
Omg omg omg
-
Wow... certainly surprises me that some of those songs are on that list.
-
I almost want to go to both the LA and SD shows just to be able to hear some of those songs more than once. holy fuck shit tards! My girlfriend's favorite song is Love's Requiem. Since we've been together, we've seen HIM 3 times. She always asks if I think they'll play LR and I always tell her "No they never play that live or never will". +5 points for the lady
-
Yeah... I don't know how I missed it the first time... but... LOVE'S fucking REQUIEM?!?! Hell yeah!
-
I have creamed 3 pairs of jeans since my last post. I don't think I've been this excited to see the band since my first time back in '04. What is this feels I have? :o
-
I CANT WAIT for the live stream. I shall be wearing a rubber to ensure that my pants do not become ruined.
-
[consider the source of setlist.fm] The Heartless was played after Wicked Game. No Stigmata :'(. And Mubbles=WLADE instead of You Are the One
EDIT: Confirmed- yes to Heartless and WLADE. no to Stigmata

YES SO MANY DSBH SONGS !!!! Pretending !! YES , HEARTACHE YES!!
Loves Requiem - WTF this was the last song i would ever say that they will perform live, AMAZING NEW!
kinda frustrating for me that there is still no Resurrection, but the other songs and the entire setlist is AMAZING and they made it up like hundred times
Well maybe they will later play Stigmata too if they have it on the setlist printed, they obviously practiced it too, so fingers crossed
whooohooooo , even This fortress - amazing!
the best setlist since 2005
-
I need bootlegs. ALL THE BOOTLEGS.

come on guys, rebel yell ! YESSSSS
I would seriously pay $40-$50 just to see them walk on stage, play Love's Requiem, the Heartless and those DSBH tracks and then walk off stage.
-
OMG i'm shocked. I'm glad I didn't wait till Friday to hear this because I would have jazzed so many times haha
The Heartless !
Rebel Yell !
DEEP SHADOWS!
No Love !
and Love's Fucking Requiem.
This will top the 2006 tour when they played Black Sabbath. I wonder if the set will change at all during the tour. I hope not because I would be very pleased when I go to the Filmore Silver Spring Friday. I want to sleep but I'm so pumped after seeing this lol. Can't wait. Concert #9 ;D
-
we all do Daedalus! We all do!!!
Cory: what do you think of setlist now? i think i have lost all the reasons to bitch and complain about their setlist ;D ;D
-
Omg! I can't wait until Thursday! The heartless?! Deep shadows stuff and Loves Requiem am I fucking dreaming?!
-

Wow. Good thing we're getting that stream. That is what a setlist from them should be like all the time, not just for a special mini-tour like this, but I'm glad we get it for at least these few shows and we'll come out of it with (hopefully) a high quality stream recording.
Cory: what do you think of setlist now? i think i have lost all the reasons to bitch and complain about their setlist ;D ;D
I think all of our bitching finally paid off. I wasn't expecting them to make a setlist like that at all for this tour. Only problem is I don't see them sticking to something like it after this tour (and Helldone) but at least we can enjoy it now while we've got it. Sucks quite a bit of ass there's no Chicago show. Funny how things work like that. "Yeah, Cory, we'll change up the setlist, you fucker. Too bad you can't come see us, though. Ha!" - Ville Valo
-
yeah it looks like some random fan´s dream setlist
and they are actually playing it!
i cant wait for the live stream from Las Vegas!
Tapers get your equipment ready! Bootleg whores (like me) are waiting , there is going to be HUGE trade! i am preparing my rarities
-
The Heartless??? Are you fucking kidding me? I'm dying. Dying....
And the HIM fans of The Sac are all now too happy to be alive. *Echoes "Dying....."*
-
That Love's Requiem USB only bonus track must really be something special, though, if they made it USB only first of all (obviously) and then the fact they decided to play it live. Can't wait to hear that and check it out.
People should start checking Dime A Dozen every so often just in case. I would, but I forgot all of my login stuff and every time I make a new account they catch me and yell at me and delete the new account lol.

tell me about it ;D but we have a lot of expections and hopes, but this setlist is amazing, they even played No Love.
and 24 fucking songs?????!!!!!! Thats possibly their best setlist so far i would say. Ville said they practiced 39 songs, if we count off the songs like :all lips and stuff they did recently and retired from the setlist, its probably all , maybe few more songs will be surprise for the Helldone. I think this is like Christmas came earlier this year
+ there will by Danny Lioneye with the Rollers on Helldone + there is a live stream from Ls Vegas
i feel like i was 15 again seeing them walking on stage in Bratislava back in 2005 on my first HIM concert
now , we want bootlegs i hope when i get back home today from the work there will be something on a dime xD

That's about normal for a headlining band like HIM with a solid back catalogue. I really hope the amount of songs sticks because that's what other bands are doing these days, and you really feel gipped at a HIM show when it's about a half an hour short of all the other concerts you go to. Playing longer gives them the ability to keep the crap on the setlist while being able to add more good stuff. There's not too much crap on this setlist, though. I could still find ways to pick it apart, because that's just what I do, but it's really pissing me off now that I'm not going to any of these shows (except for the Vegas show live from my bedroom). At the end of the day, while this is great now, it's just going to suck even harder the next time they come to the US and I can actually go and their setlist isn't anything like this and back to pretty much the same old routine, even though I hate to be a downer right now with all of the excitement going on.
-
I really want to record The Fillmore show but all I have is my LG G2 smartphone. Is there anything that a Best Buy would sell that's cheap to get a decent quality recording? Also, my first concert so I damn well plan on being in the front.
-
yeah the live stream baby thats gonna be 7:30am Saturday for me, so its going to be amazing saturday morning
exactly, they should play at least 24 songs every time, not lousy 16 as they did in 2013 when i saw them after ages in prague, but in the other hand, they obviously skipped Screamworks again ,didnt they? I was secretely hoping that they will do something like Shatter me or Ode to Solitude when Ville said that they will play something they never played before
and as i am looking at the setlist the only song they played for the fist time is Love Requiem , the rest of the songs were played in the past , and of course No Love was performed live only once
Loves Requiem live - i still cant believe that
-

it depends what do yo want - audio only or video

Unfortunately, I'd say no. If you're gonna be in the front, the quality would be pretty shitty from whatever you could find. Since it's gonna be your first concert, just enjoy it. You only get a first concert once, right? You don't wanna have to worry about making a recording while trying to enjoy the show.
Also, I found a way to dock points off of the setlist. No And Love Said No. Would've made the setlist that much better if they included it. Honestly.
-
Either some one's confused about their albums or they played WLSTD tonight.
-
LEN, definitely just some noob who probably heard WLADE for the first time on the ToT tour and figured it was a newish song. WLADE 100% confirmed
-
Damn.
-
The Love's Requiem got me stumped too. I can't believe they're playing this... they didn't even do it for the LM pre-release show. This is gonna be epic... my buddy is gonna catch some video and pics for sure from Maryland. Believe me it's worth the drive from Pittsburgh now.
At first when I saw that facebook picture I thought mubbles could be you are the one :(
Stigmata Diaboli is another huge plus and I'm glad we get to hear another song from Tears On Tape live. There's No Love!
And who can forget 3 songs from Deep Shadows.... this will re strengthen my love for this album.
Deadalus you called Killing Loneliness.
-
Len, yeah, I don't want to hear any ToT stuff on this tour, but if there was going to be one it'd definitely be WLSTD
-
What's weird is that I still have no desire to listen to any of the first four albums now. Instead, I have the strong urge to listen to Dark Light. I'm not sure that was what the band intended.
And the Cubs just signed Jon Lester! What a beautiful morning!
EDIT: Listening to Dark Light now AND not even skipping Wings Of A Butterfly. The album version can be the tits sometimes and bring back some lovely memories.
Under The Rose has, does, and always will rule. Perfect Winter song on a perfect Winter album. I'm glad I finally got a legitimate copy of Dark Light so I didn't have to keep listening to my MTV Italy rip.
Behind The Crimson Door is such a great song. Never really translated too well live the energy that this song has. Always was kind of flat.
-

it depends what do yo want - audio only or video
Since I'm gonna be up front and Len is getting the audio, I'd say video. I have two G2s and they take great video so I'll have my friend record as well. Len, if you let me know what song you specifically want video for, I'll record that and with the other few vids that will be floating around, we could make a killer multi-cam video. Love's Requiem and if they play it, Stigmata will definitely be recorded.

I can def accomplish that would be fun to open up my pro tools haven't done it in a few months. Loves requiem definitely. I'm gonna have the great wise miltos tinker with sound of this when I'm done. This iOS mic I bought is a stereo condenser mic. And highest it records is 48k so it'll be better than cd quality. With the exception that I'm only using 1 mic opposed to a billion like they do for actual live recordings but should sound ok I think.
-
So len you are capturing the entire gig on audio
and volcom sk8er you are going to tape few videos and you friend rest of the videos on the same smartphone?

We're both going to record Requiem and stigmata. I have two of the same phone. If there are any others they may play that someone really wants, let me know. This is my friend's first time to really listen to HIM so I don't wanna make my friend record the entire time.
-
Has anyone been to The Fillmore venue before? I wanna try to get RHIMA, her favorite single, signed for my other friend who couldn't make it. She's been trying to meet the band for a few years and I think it'd be a great gift.

Love's Requiem??? my dream come true! well almost until i see it live! IMO this song is the holy grail in their discography and will be one of the epic songs they ever perform.... i hope they will keep the song in the setlist and for the next year... i prefer it instead when love, sleepwalking and the path. also will be nice for a blu ray/pro shot release of this song. I think next year will be a good time for Love Metal Archives Vol.2 Blu Ray. contain I love you live video from 1998, join me, razorblade kiss live 1998, you are the one and in love and lonely live 2001, love's requiem live 2014 and stuff like that ;P
-
the user is Derek Smalls, looks like he might sell his boots though....
You're right! Here is his answer to my request:
Thanks for getting in touch. As stated, I recorded the 6th December 2014 performance by HIM on a high-quality HD camcorder - in the same great quality as you see on Youtube. The recording is complete and I've now mastered my HD footage directly to a boxed Region 0 DVD-R and you can check out the DVD cover for it here: DVD art. Since the performance only ran to a hour, I've included a bonus DVD containing a fantastic pro-shot club film from Sydney from February this year.
The DVDs come boxed with the colour cover shown and printed (not labelled) disc and cost £10 (UK)/ €14 (Europe)/ $16 (USA etc) each.
There is also a fabulous audio recording (not from the video soundtrack) available on a 2xCD set for £8 (UK)/€10 (Europe)/$13 (USA). This comes in a track-listed slipcase. Shipping for the CD is free if you order the DVD at the same time. Just add this order code: Tarot (HIMC)
Shipping is £2 (UK), €4 (Europe) and $5 (USA/Japan) etc. If ordering more than one DVD please add 75p per extra DVD for the extra shipping cost: (UK), €2 (Europe) and $2 (US/Japan etc). First class shipping is used for the UK, airmail for non-UK. Delivery in 4-5 days, a little longer for overseas. If you're an HD lover, the show is also available in Blu Ray, offering the ultimate in quality. Please ask for more info on this.
I accept PayPal payments at the following address: starkind2013@gmail.com
When ordering, please just use this reference code: Tarot (HIM) in the Subject/Notes box. Please when paying on no account make any reference to HIM, DVDs, bootlegs or anything of that kind-thanks! Oh and naturally make sure that your address is included. Incidentally US customers will be sent versions compatible with the NTSC (US) TV system at no extra cost. If you have any queries at all (like the total cost for shipping, for example), please give me a shout. If you're not sure how to pay using PayPal, I can simplify things by sending you a PayPal payment request. This also works if you have no PayPal account yourself- a credit/debit card can now be safely used via PayPal.
Cheers,
Bootsy
PS I have filmed HIM on earlier occasions in London if you'd also like info on those?

I've never been there before... first time. I'll be there if you wanna meet up... anyone else going to the Fillmore other than me and volcomsk8r ? Gonna smoke so many joints in there haha. Will light the fattest one for love's requiem.
Edit: Anyone catch any of the tour shirts?

Loves Requiem is pure magic live, excellent video!

If they didn't play Stigmata I wonder if they're going to add it later in the tour. I think I would prefer the Heartless but it's tough.

Amen to that, brother!

I can't watch any more of the videos than I already have that you guys linked or else I'm seriously going to go into depression that I'm not going to be at any of the upcoming shows. I honestly can't see how the band could change the setlist now after this tour without there being a huge backlash. I'm still probably never going to see Love's Requiem live in person, but I hope they at least save the rest of the good shit for the next time they're here and actually hit up Chicago. If I had the money, I would buy a ticket for a show and hop on a plane to be there and experience the amazingness they're putting on. I seriously thought about it, but there's just no way I can afford it.

I know how you feel. This is the first tour I've missed in ten years and I feel like absolute shit watching the videos. At the same time, it does feel great to see them having this much fun again. I think this little tour was on their terms and the scale of it must be refreshing for them. Linde's even back to a pedalboard instead of a rack! Just be stoked that after this we're one step closer to a new album. And in the meantime, enjoy some of these rarities that are coming out!
-
They changed the setlist a little yesterday.
Unfortunately no Loves Requiem neither The Heartless and still no Stigmata. I fear that Loves Requiem was a one time only thing.
Ville was probably again like. "Well let's try this one live and afterwards, nah sounds like shit let's drop it."

Are you fucking kidding me? I don't know if I'm even excited for that Vegas live stream anymore now. The best thing about it was going to be that we were going to get a high quality version of the live Love's Requiem. I can't believe they dropped it already. I thought this time was going to be different because I'm a gullible bastard. They could still bring it back, but it's not a good sign. To be honest, though, it sounded off in that clip I watched that someone posted, but it was still fucking Love's Requiem live. On the bright side I guess, I don't feel AS bad now for not being able to go to any of the shows on this tour if they have officially dropped the song for good. Lucky (and ungrateful!) bastards in New York likely got to witness history. You fuckers. Still a wonderful setlist, but no more Love's Requiem and Stigmata being on there taunting us while they never play it is disappointing. Hopefully, if they don't bring back Love's Requiem for Vegas, they throw us a bone and play Stigmata so we can at least have a high quality new version of that, but I really wanted Love's Requiem damn it!
-
I do know that this show was all ages, whereas the New York show was 18+ Supposedly the HOB in Boston has a strict time limit imposed because of the all ages entry.
-
O hell no if they pull this shit at HOB SD. I would be pissed but my gf with raise 7 layers of hell if they drop Requiem after they already played it in NY.
Also, they did not play Heartless in NY according to some attendees. It amazes me that some people can be like "O, yeah they totally played that." And then others "No they didn't". boggles my mind
-

At least now I know why people on here were talking about The Heartless. I just thought it was what they were hoping they would play on the tour. It makes sense, though. Happens all the time with people that spend more time obsessing over Ville instead of the music and getting all of their songs confused because of it. I don't think a tour goes by without some kind of confusion over a song or two with people swearing they played something when they didn't.
-
Yeah well to be honest I don't think that they played it. There is still no sign or a glimpse of a video from the song and it wasn't on the setlist either. They are normally not like: "Well let's spontaneous put The Heartless after Wicked Game even if we haven't planned on playing it"
They rather drop songs which are on the list like they did with Stigmata.

guys, according to these strict HOB rules at Boston
Las Vegas is also at House of Blues, does it mean that they will have shorter time = shorter setlist than they had in NYC Webster hall?
Did they really play Bleed Well in NYC?
-
I'm so excited about the setlist but it wouldn't surprise me if ville has knocked a few of the interesting songs off the list by the time we get to Helldone and I'll be really pissed off if that's the case. Nice shirt yeah does anyone know what other merch was available?
-
I hope they're playing loves requiem tonight got my fingers crossed, i have star parking so going to do my best to be very first this time for some good video, last time i was at starland i was first in line but the star parking people got in before me :-\ im also recording audio

Did they really play Bleed Well in NYC?
i know the Boston show was all ages, which would mean they can't play as long. And the Boston show started at 8:00, and I think included two opening bands. The Vegas show is 18+, and the show starts at 7:00 pm and only has Motionless in White as an opening band.
-
so we can have long setlist as it was at Webster Hall in NYC?
-
I'm not sure. I guess we'll see. The only 18+ HOB show they're playing is Vegas. I mean, I think it'll be the longer set. It's not in a residential area, it's 18+ and it's going to be streamed.
Never mind: HOB stupid policy is open till 11. >:(
Then again, I would think with the show starting at 7:00 pm, 4 hours would be long enough for the full set.
-
Someone needs to remind the band that this is the Love Metal Archives tour. You don't just drop something like Love's Requiem because you have something stupid like a curfew to go by. You play that sumbitch anyways, because that's what people wanna hear on a tour called the Love Metal Archives tour.
Let's start a petition for Heidecker & Wood to open up for the band the next time they come to the US.
-
Never mind: HOB stupid policy is open till 11. >:(
Is that HOB company wide or specific venue?
I am really starting to get mad that the band I am paying to see gets their amazing set compromised because of 2 shitty bands and a curfew
-
No Love's Requiem, but the recording of Sayerville was a success bootleg to follow... Be happy this mic kicks fucking ass!
-
No Love's Requiem, but the recording of Sayerville was a success bootleg to follow... Be happy this mic kicks fucking ass!
I love you!
-
yay for a recording!
but serious disappointment about Requiem seeming more and more like a 1-off.
-
why they retired Loves Requiem from the setlist ??? >:(
finally after ages something that really was not played live ever and they did it once and thats all, the beautiful song retired after its premiere on the concert
in sort of sense, that sucks, but the setlist is still refreshing and good when compared to the previous setlist from 2013/2014 tour
at least when they retired Loves Requiem and they have printed "Stigmata Diaboli" in the setlist, they should do Stigmata instead , or fucking "And Love Said No" , for god´s sake
-
Stop bitching about Love's Requiem and cut songs already people!
The band has to respect the rules of the venue, they can't do stuff on their own as there might be penalties...
I wouldn't like it as well but it seems it's not up to them to decide!
-
hello all ..
I'm in silver springs maryland..
I have seen the nyc set list..
Loved it..
Would like a few more surprises..
But will see what happens at the show tonight..
I am staying at the Courtyard Marriott on Fenton..
Anyone else staying anywhere local? Or know where the band is staying?
-
That was the best show I've ever seen! Plenty of vids and got the entire show in audio! Won't know what it sounds like til I get home though.
-
When you get home, let us know... ;)
-
thats my boy !
did they do Loves Requiem or something new?

HIM 12 December, 2014 The Fillmore Silver Spring Love Metal Archives Tour Silver Spring, Maryland, USA
On: 9:33 Off: 11:18
Set:
"The Sacrament" "Razorblade Kiss" "Pretending" "Right Here in My Arms" "This Fortress of Tears" "Your Sweet Six Six Six" "Wicked Game" "Gone with the Sin" "Soul on Fire" "Heartache Every Moment" "Rip Out the Wings of A Butterfly" "The Kiss of Dawn" "In Joy and Sorrow" "Poison Girl" "Killing Loneliness" "No Love" "Join Me in Death" "Buried Alive By Love" "When Love and Death Embrace"
Encore:
"Rebel Yell"
Notes: "Stigmata Diaboli" and "The Funeral of Hearts" were on the set list, but omitted from the encore. Long jams ocurred within "Wicked Game" and "The Kiss of Dawn."
-
thank you for the info
i cant tell that i am happy with that new info, the setlist should not contain long jams in Wicked Game and Kiss of Dawn , but should be filled with Stigmata Diaboli instead, or Loves Requiem
so its not that they have not enough time to perform all what they want because of some rules and policy at the venue, its because they dont want to when they killed the time for these songs by pointles soloing during Kiss of Dawn and Wicked Game - this can be kinda frustrating for the horny fans that were so excited after Webster Hall gig when they did Bleed Well and Loves Requiem and now they rather do solos during two songs and made them last like 14 minutes total - wicked game + kiss of dawn
-
Yada yada! xD

Well done, I think the camera changes are too many... too fast perhaps... I think you should let every source play for a little longer before you change to another, it helps the eye to stay focused!
You could also use some simple transition effects for some scene changes like crossfades.
What do you use to make these?
/off topic OFF

@ Miltos :
i would believe me, but with this youtube source its pointless i tried it and it looked like bigger shit than that one. Its hard to make a nice video when you have just 3 videos and all the videos are totally unbalanced, the white is not set properly in the master video and the video is shaky and mostly unfocused. I wish we had at least 4 steady videos - one from left wih zooming out and in, one from right , one from the balcony and one from wherever just nicely pointed on band members
these videos are made on different devices with the different quality and settings so the result is indeed lousy but nothing better at the moment so its the only way
to the fast switching the cameras - i made it how i like it , this looks more dynamic for me and i needed to switch it fast because the videos were not good as they should be, i had to switch because the camera started to shake very much or it was randomly pointed to the red light and the entire screen was just bad so i had to figure it out how to avoid these moments and well with only 3 youtube videos its hard to chose some nice longer part
for me the best multicam HIM video is from 2010 when they performed in Berlin - MySpace secret show - i love that type of multicam work https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw0JTn1RxT0 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw0JTn1RxT0) , i call it semi-amateur, its amazing work ,isnt it?

I met up with volcom sk8r but they booted me for smoking cigarettes during soul on fire. Such bullshit that I didn't get to hear Rebel Yell but it was worth it just to hear Pretending and Gone With The Sin. I smoked two joints in there and they decide to kick people out for a cigarette. The Fillmore staff were such assholes about it. Almost ruined the whole trip for me but I did get to hear some new songs live. It was my 9th show so the only ones I am sad I missed were No Love and Rebel Yell. I hope they do Rebel Yell in the states again. I'm used to going to concerts in PA or even OH so I didn't think people were so strict at some venues in different cities... I was a lil tipsy which could have been a factor.
Got the cool LM Archives Shirt with the razorblade and eyes symbol. Glad I got it before because the motherfuckers would not let me back in. I'm trying not to be completely upset and pissed, focus on the positives. Will deff be watching the Las Vegas broadcast... hope it will include Love's Requiem or Stigmata.
So when's HIM's next US tour ? lol
-
anyone going to see them on the rest dates ? anyone tonight at Wiltern ?
-
Doing San Diego. Couldn't do 3 shows in a week given Mr Stevens
-
I'm going to the Las Vegas show. I leave for Las Vegas tomorrow. ;D

info, setlist of Wiltern show?
-
clearly there were some technical difficulties at the Wiltern. Don't make him mad!
Ville pissed video on IG (http://websta.me/p/877293392539435511_40566807)
and another
more rage on stage (http://websta.me/p/877264330457396982_49675556)
-
Oh no..... (I am just sitting at my laptop cackling like a harpy like "I bet Ville is even super MORE adorable when he is angry")
-
I was at a show during the SW tour and someone threw like a wooden bracelet on stage and it almost hit VV. He stopped the show mid song and gave a 3 minute pissed off lecture how that shit isn't cool anymore after what happened to Dimebag. It was awkward being in that room. And than to lighten the mood (in my mind at least it did), he said something about at least throw eyeliner up on stage so they can be like turbonegro. Then he proceeded to sing a few lines of Rendezvous with Anus
-
So..... you're saying throwing stuff at Ville results in lyrical gold? I AM TOTALLY KIDDING. Seriously why do people throw solid shit anywhere at a venue? When I was in school my friends would go buy the biggest most ridiculous bras and panties they could find and threw those on the stage (never at the people) when the groups they liked were on.
Blah saying "When I was in school" makes me feel old..... and I am SO not old.
-
Ville apparently got pissed that his earpiece wasn't working. He was pissed from the very beginning and it climaxed at The Kiss of Dawn. He stopped the show to take a "creative break" as he called it to basically yell at the techies asking what the problem was. A fuse had burnt to no one's knowledge and there was a five-minute break. The house lights were raised and people used the opportunity to take a piss/get another drink/etc.
Once he came back out, they skipped the setlist to "Buried Alive By Love" to liven up the crowd once again and to get them out of a shitty mood. However, it still appeared as though there were technical issues throughout the rest of the show. They skipped around songs and Ville apologized to everyone for the issues that were faced that night. He said they were gonna end quickly and "get the fuck out of there" as everything was "breaking down by the minute". They ended their set with "Rebel Yell". Ville then threw down the mic and walked off, Mige threw down his bass, and Linde tried to hang up his guitar, failed, and then just dropped that as well. Burton and Gas gave their thanks/goodbyes to the crowd. People naturally stayed and cheered for an encore, and after about two minutes of confusion, the lights were raised and the equipment crew came to clear the set entirely.
Looking back at past setlists from the tour, I see they completely skipped "In Joy and Sorrow" and "WLADE". Not to mention, they only played half of Kiss of Dawn. I was fairly disappointed with how it all concluded as I personally haven't seen In Joy and Sorrow performed live in ages. But hey, I guess when you don't want to be somewhere, you just GOT to get the fuck out as fast as possible.
It certainly did make things an experience, though, and will probably be the most unforgettable HIM concert I have been to so far.

thanks for the info
they obviously play the same setlist, so i bet we wont have Loves Requiem or Bleed Well again or Stigmata Diaboli on this tour >:(
-
yeah, if there was any hope of Stigmata or Requiem again, it would have been at the Wiltern. :(
-
Unless they do them on the last night of the tour. Doubtful though.
-
Vegas maybe? Hopefully they pull out some tricks when they know it's going to be streamed live.
-
yeah they upacked their present on the first show, they should close the show with these songs , i dont get it , they have it printed on setlist - that means that they practiced and prepared it for the tour - why they are still skipping it? for fuck´s sake i would rather take Stigmata on the stream than : RHIMA, Join Me, Wicked Game, BABL, Soul On Fire, Kiss Of Dawn, Poison Girl or Rip Out The Wings - LOL
-
I'm thinking they will play LR at Helldone and we might get lucky to hear Stigmata, Funeral of Hearts or Bleed Well for the Las Vegas Stream. Its' gonna be really awesome... dave Matthews band did the first yahoo live stream when they announced 365 concerts in 365 days. I wondered if HIM would make the list due to the fact 365 artists is a lot and my wish totally came true. The cameras were great and I've been to the HOB in Vegas and it's much smaller than the Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville so we should get some great shots and angles from this.
Edit: It says December 20th at 12:30am ET for me. Forgot about the time difference.

"No Love"
"Join Me in Death"

Encore:
"Rebel Yell"
Notes:
Technical errors with the guitar during "Right Here in My Arms" led the rest of the band into an improvisational jam prior to continuing with the first verse. Nightly improvisational jam during "Wicked Game" and "The Kiss of Dawn," with the latter including a lyric change to "Let me kiss between your thighs." A recurring event from Sayreville, New Jersey happens as a fan jumps on stage during "Buried Alive By Love." A small mishap occurred during "Rebel Yell" when Ville Valo dropped his microphone during the last chorus. "Stigmata Diaboli" and "The Funeral of Hearts" were cut from the encore.
Thanks to Anthony Listro for the information!
-
ok so if thats what we are going to get from the stream of Las Vegas show i am OK with that, the setlist altough its the same since Boston is fine , its a pitty that they retired Loves Requiem after its premiere , i am not sorry about Funeral of Hearts to be retired at the moment, but its a pitty that the Stigmata Diaboli is just skipped all the time when we know they can play it ....
hopefully they wont have any problems and technical errors in Las Vegas and wont skip a song.
thx for the info
-
I think Vegas will get Stigmata Diaboli but probably not Love's Requiem. Why? No reason really. I don't know anything.

Just got back from San Diego show. It was same ol same ol in comparison for this tour
1. Sacrament
2. Razorblade Kiss
3. Pretending (and apparently he's been adding the Cosmic Pope lyrics "...It's all right, it's alright, well it's not alright" at the end of the song for shows on the tour)
4. RHIMA
5. Fortress
6. Sweet 666
7. Wicked Game
8. Gone With the Sin
9. SoF - messed up the first verse and said "We are enslaved by the sacred heart of shame" instead of "And every day it's looking for new slaves" so when the 2nd verse came he said "Again, we are enslaved..."
10. Heartache
11. WOAB
12. KoD
13. In Joy and Sorrow
14. Poison Girl
15. Killing Loneliness
16. No Love
17. Join Me
18. BABL
19. WLADE
--------
20. Rebel Yell

Not a single show on the tour was sold out. Gas wonders if they've been playing in the US too much lately. I made a post on here before the tour started about noticing there still being tickets left for each show, but to see Gas openly mention it on Facebook reminded me of the fact and bummed me out.
-
to be honest, i do get it and there is no wonder why they have a problems to sell out the show
-
I think its one of those things they reached their peak around the time of Dark Light in the US and Venus Doom. But now without proper promotion and declining interest i guess that its going to be hard to sell out these venues. I mean in the UK tour last October there were venue changes because they didn't fill the planned venue and even then in Wolverhampton it was still pretty empty and Cardiff too, I don't know about the other nights. But i think Gas is right about touring too much they had a 22 date Rock Allegiance tour then a 13 date US tour this year and now this all from one album release. I know we here don't mind seeing them that often but are the casual fans interested? Because thats who most of the audience are composed of these days.
-
Well, in my opinion, the opening band, Wounds, were the best band last night. HIM were good, Motionless in White fucking sucked.

I'm sure there's loads more coming and I wish someone could compile a list of best sources making a full show playlist and post it here so I can "extract" it from YouTube...

Ville: What should we play for Helldone, guys?
Mige: I dunno lol. Do we still have any of those setlists we printed out for the US tour?
Gas: I think I ate the last one.
Ville: Silly, Gas. Nope, I have the last one right here. Let's just use that. Makes it easier.
Mige: K. But shouldn't we cross out Stigmata? People are gonna get mad we keep having it on there but we never play it.
Ville: So? I can't even remember how that song goes. Besides, I'm sexy. It doesn't matter what we play.
Mige: Yeah, you're right. What do you think, Linde?
Linde: I have no idea what you guys are even saying. I'm high.
Ville: So it's settled, then. Let's watch some Khloe And Courtney Take The Hamptons now as a reward.
Burton: I hate my life, but I love the Kardashian sisters!
Gas: I'm hungry lol. By the way, has anyone seen my weiner?
Happy New Year!

Happy new year everybody! :)

I'm sure there's loads more coming and I wish someone could compile a list of best sources making a full show playlist and post it here so I can "extract" it from YouTube...
i already extracted her videos with the script , but all her videos looks like they were alrady like 5 times encoded before uploaded on youtube
sound is clipped and i dont know why but she still keeps pointing the max zoom on Ville´s face, its terrible when its in every song! i am waiting for all the videos and then i will make another multicam to avoid these terrible shots only on Ville ew

I know, right?! These fangirls forget that it's a BAND. It's not the Ville Valo Show, it's a collective effort and experience.

i cant help it, but this Helldone´s videos from catherinelheathcliff are TERRIBLE ! - audio clipped again, white totally unbalanced and all the colours are bad, when there are blue and red lights the video is unwatchable, the most of the materials is Ville only
and the quality is like it was encoded several times before uploading on youtube. i used the script to get the best possible shit from the youtube, but the quality is not better at all
most of the smartphone recordings are far better than these videos (only its better stabilized in her videos)
and i dont get why she just stops recording in the middle of the song and then starts again so there will be few seconds gap in the song ......... totally shit. At least she avoided to record Villes zoomed face while Linde is soloing :-D
or do you enjoy wathing only Ville half of the concert? :D i have few bootlegs like this, the singer is important obviously, but not that much when its not his solo concert, but the band´s concert

Who's this Ville character you guys keep mentioning?
-
lol...
-
Ville: What should we play for Helldone, guys?
Mige: I dunno lol. Do we still have any of those setlists we printed out for the US tour?
Gas: I think I ate the last one.

Happy New Year!
I have conversations like this with myself too. Sometimes it is with HIM but mostly it is Nathan Explosion, Pickles, Toki, Murderface, and Skwisgaar of Dethklok... oh and sometimes their ninja of a manager and Dr. Rockzo (I do cocaine!) are in there too. =)

whenever I am in a bad mood, I'm just going to look at that Helldone set knowing I didn't miss out on anything

btw guys ,do you remember them to perform in JBTV in Chicago? What hapenned ? i am checking it sometimes and there are still no uploads from HIM performance, all the rest unknown bands for me have their videos uploaded from JBTV. I wonder if HIM´s tour manager also is behind that they still didnt upload any of HIM video from the performance - i dont even know what was the setlist on this
I actually emailed them back when they taped it and JBTV said they couldn't put it up due to licensing negotiations. I got the feeling the band wasn't happy with the finished product or maybe the crowd wasn't in to it. I'll shoot them another email and see what comes of it.

Happy New Year everyone! I know I've been absent....you know that silly thing called life gets in the way.
Totally pissed - went to the Boston HOB show and had my handy dandy iPhone out recording the "rare" tracks.....only to get home and realize my dumb ass had my hand over the speaker!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I have is freakin video and like, virturally NO sound.
Do you think they will release some sort of a DVD with footage from the shows since they did that live broadcast from Vegas?
Jealous of all y'all who got to attend Helldone.

I watched a little bit of a couple of them. They're nothing special. I had to laugh at what they wrote in the description of the band, though: "These guys have a knack for giving their fans what they want." I think they just copied and pasted something they wrote for another band in a rush to get things done with.
-
Tried a few of my common things to capture those streams and I failed at the moment... I think I'm too sleepy... If anyone finds an app or method that works to save the 720p streams let me know.
-
I never thought we'd ever get to see these... Thanks for the heads up!
I too tried to download, but JW player is almost always impossible for me to get through. Good luck to you guys, and please share if you are able to save them!
-
OK, found a method that works!
https://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/ (https://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/) together with http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/rtmp_dump_helper.html (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/rtmp_dump_helper.html)
-
thx Miltos, this was probably the easiest method to rip some videos i have ever tried LOL
its like just download ,extract, run app, run website and video and its done - amazing!
-
Always happy to assist my fellow minion!
-
Yayy! Many thanks!

They will show this on TV, is anyone able to check it out and make a proper capture?
This is gonna be difficult... Why can't they just stream it on the internet damnit?
-
Hope someone records this. That is dumb they don't stream this. When does it air?
-
Is it the same channel as their live streaming?
http://jbtvmusic.com/ (http://jbtvmusic.com/)
They also have a "DVR" function and you can go back to pre-recorded program...
-
someone could ask them on facebook if it is i guess,
but TV rip would have been hundred times better than the livestream ripped from that website
maybe it will pop out on the dime
