KROQ will be broadcasting the entire Weenie Roast Y Fiesta 2006 on their website this saturday. HIM will be playing a 30 min. set at 3 pm. pacific time. Anyone here wanna try to record it? If it's a windows media stream, I will attempt it using WM Recorder.

It is good if you have leechers who can get you the show in great quality.

I can definately record audio, I have a great program to do it. But video needs to be figured out!

I got this off of kroq.com just now, so i dont think HIM will go on at 10a.m. or that is the time they will be playing live and the webcast is delayed or something

Its news, not everyone reads the tour thread, and I think something like this deserves a thread of its own. No one was discussing it when I made this thread and no one is discussing the possibility of recording the webcast in there.

What kind of softwares do you guys use? I tried it once before but it never worked.

For audio I use Advanced MP3 WMA Recorder. For video I use WM or RM Recorder.

Focus MP3 Recorder Pro is amazing, and I've already tested it with KROQ's media on the site.

Seems msn is going to be broadcasting the sasquatch festival. I'm not sure if there planning on broadcasting the whole festival or just parts of it though. I'll be out of state and might not have a computer available to me so it would be nice if someone could record the HIM set.

i will try too with this festival, but do you now the hour? and in what timezone its the festival
on the my space site says "hear" but on msn says video
i will try to use again mplayer (one of the programs that super use to encode and play) because can dump the original stream and at same time i can open the stream to play and later conver to other format

Someone has to record that! I will be at the gig on Friday (the 26th) but if someone can record it off the website if they do every band. That would be awesome, but also I will be filming on a DVD camera.

I get home at about 6:00 today, english time. So should be recording from there! HIM doesn't come on till 10:00PM english time so should have time to get prepared.

When the webcast starts there should be a link at the bottom of the page, "Weenie Webcast" You won't find it just now, cuz it hasn't started yet ;)
I'll be recording if its a Real streaming video, with RM Recorder, but I think it's gonna be Windows media, which I can't record :(

It hasn't and it says that it will be On Demand. Meaning play it whenever wanted. But I don't know how that will work because once you click the link that was posted it says Broadcasting then like HD, Streaming, and On Demand so I clicked On Demand and you click videos to play them, so I'm guessing that's how the whole concert will be?

They will be showing every band. I have updated my first post in this thread with the webcast set times. The stream will be live. The on demand and HD options at the top of the kroq page are not for the fiesta.

As far as I know, they got exactly 3 hours to fix the problems, so we can see HIM.

ok, I'm testing my recorder and it asks me to disable the acceleration on my WMP in order to achieve a better quality of the imge?
How can I do that? ???

So there are differences in video quality between the high and low quality webcast, logically.
But how about the audio? Do both versions have the same audio quality?

yeah yeah, I know... I'm not talking about the webcast, I mean that I'm testing my recorder (to record the show on video) and it asks me to disable the acceleration on my WMP because that way, my recording will have a better quality in video.
The audio quality is pretty decent... but I'm still working on that.

Matchbook Romance. I recorded The Academy Is... set and recording this one right now. I'm planning on recording the whole show except for the guy after HIM. I'll be busy uploading the HIM set and my connection wont be able to stream the festival until it's finished.
Hmm Matchbook Romance just got cut off... Hope this doesn't happen to HIM.

All I can do is record a FLAC. version of the audio. Video is to much trouble for me to figure out.

i'm having problems with the streams too, 300kb was stoping every few seconds, and now doesnt work for me, at least i can listen it at 100kbs

:o happened the same to me when I was testing!! that's why the recorder asked me to disable the acceleration on the WMP! the first minute gets blank and after than the image comes normally.
Try to disable the acceleration, it worked for me! ;) :-\
+ DarkLight 616: a FLAC version of the audio would be great! ;)

Oh thats not the problem for me. Wm Recorder would find the stream but the recording wouldn't work. So I would have to keep closing the stream and opening it back up again until the program would record it.

but i have have problems with the 300kbps streams
maybe its because i'm in europe

Good because i tried recording the video myself and just as I go to save it, it had some bloody error!!! At least I got the audio though.

Okay, done! I recorded the show but it's time to see the results ;D His voice was weird in the beginning but yeah, he got it back to normality after a while. ;D
and... while watching them, came to mind what Ville said about 'Mige getting old and Gas suffering of obesity' because if you ask me, he got the wrong guy! Gas is getting old and Mige is suffering of obesity :P ...
btw, I'll be posting a sample of the video here and in the media section asap ;)

Than we wont mention that the original "suit" idea came from all of those nice guys from the SS group.
That style was a very formal one in the 1930's to 1946.
Personally I love anything related to the German Nazi Uniforms. Mainly the Generals Hats.
Marilyn Manson tried to sort of revive that look for his and the bands image. I guess you dont really know the full story to that if you dont listen to his previous album and actually read into the Golden Age era books.
I saw the band go through (Her Iinfernal Majesty, as one backstage guy screamed while they played). Didnt really have much interest in them, I do have close pics as well. Jenn and I took many, even the Crew (who ironic enough already knew me! hahaha). There were some other bands I had the pleasure of meeting and even photograph them right on stage and even behind.
I spoke to John, he was beyond polite just trying to make me feel comfortable and giving me any drink. We mainly spoke about his gear, current situation and even whats coming for him. He signed a pick up, a pass, and a cool picture with him.
I have more stuff, but that all can wait for another time.
Right now I dont know if I want a beer or get laid. Maybe both? I just wish the beer bottles came with two necks than? Ewwww. Hahaha. (When saying laid, I mean sleep). :P
Before I depart, check out a band from Mexiko who was there promoting themselfs. I already knew about them nearly since 2oo1. They are called Anabantha. They are a mix between Nighwish, Lacuna Coil, with a Neo Rock Dark Wave sound.
On their official page you can download for free some of their full tracks.
With that apart, Keep Spanish Rock Alive. (For those who dont listen to "it". Just take the Spanish part and keep it that way). ;)

If we consider the fact that I don't like Marilyn Manson, I think that explains pretty much all. :P I'm not trying to get into a deep discussion about the look firstly, because I do not have the background to talk about it, second because my english it's damn limited and third because I don't think is so important :-\ To me it was just funny that Shane said that because it seemed like that was what a lot of people had in mind, and right after that Anthony Kiedis came to the stage with the same outfit :P ... is not a big deal, but I do appreciate the explanation and your opinion! 8)
As for the Mexican band, yeah, I've heard about them. Unfortunately I have not paid them too much attention, but I will ;) ... and, is just me or their official site is not properly working now ???
