I just might be the only one that didn't really dig the performance. Go figure. That style isn't something I'm particularly fond of. I was hoping for something a lot more uptempo than that. Unless this side-project is strictly a covers only thing, I would've liked for him to have played a song or two of his own written material for the sake of getting some new lyrics to memorize/analyze/jerk off to/laugh at/whatever. I wonder how many women in the audience had to buy a new pair of panties after he was done, though. Anyone know if they were selling any at the merchandise booth? That might've been a good idea for last night to make some more cash. Daniel Lioneye tonight is way more my speed. Can't wait to see some videos from that.
I wish he hadn't used so much reverb. Or maybe it's just the quality of the recording. I dig this though...hopefully there's more to come.
i am not excited about this at all. i cant help it, but this entire Rambo Rimbaud ridiculous shit looks like a midlife crisis for me. Talented song writer, that wrote tons of amazing excellent songs, that were never played live or rarely (by HIM of course) is playing covers under the ridiculously named project called Rambo Rimbaud with overly reverbed guitars and vocals. It Ville wants to do something useful this is how i imagine it:1. get the new drummer for HIM2. practice with this drummer and get used to him with all the band members, the chemistry inside of the band is important , they need to catch it3. write some OWN songs, dont perform covers4. perform HIM songs on acoustic as a solo performance - i will pay 100 for a CD with only acoustic versions of few HIM gems like - Resurrection, Love Without Tears, And Love Said No, ...... he can play whatever HIM song on acoustic and it will be 100000000000 time better than any other cover song
i didnt say he is ignoring HIM, but we need more info, more light to the situationand if you look closely on what he said......, he didnt say for 100% sure that HIM will continue. it was just an avoiding answer, he just left it open. What will happen? Who knows? According to the speech at Helldone and Gas departure i cant get the current HIM status and what will bring the future is totally in the stars. I dont think this is a one show only in 24 hours of a day in 365 days in a year, he is preparing Rambo Rimbaud album, we know that everything takes a bit longer to Ville as he wants everything to be top notch perfect. And we have no informations at all about HIM, no website, nothing, so why should i believe that he is not ignoring HIM when nothing indicates it? I am just basing my fears on the stuff that was said. Dreams and wishes aside. I dont say Ville cant do anything on his own, but according to the facts that were said and happened :-they have a pause - hiatus-they are not writing songs, touring, practicing-they have no drummer-they only said "MAYBE" they will return in 2016... i was expecting some HIM related activities and news from Ville.I know and i understand that you all are excited because of this solo project, but from what i have read, it looks like it is a cover project. This is why i am not so excited and more frustrated. If the situation was clear and they got a new drummer, i would be looking forward for whatever, but HIM > Daniel Lioneye > Rambo Rimbaudif they are not sure whether to break up as a band or continue, they should have told us that they are unsure and we better dont expect anything. Because we were just left alone unsure and insecure here with nothing related to HIM. When things wont go well, we all will be just pissed after year or more that they are not doing shit or if they will split up. If they said that dont expect anything, and after a year if they came back , everyone would be so happy and excited.this situation is frustrating and some Rambo Rimbaud is not easing my worried mind

More or less related to this topic: It was just confirmed some minutes ago that HIM will play here in Hungary on a summer festival called FEZEN. Things are getting interesting here. I'm wondering if they introduce a new drummer or will do shows with session drummer. Anyway, good news, right? So looks like besides the solo project HIM is not going to be ignored.https://www.facebook.com/FEZENFesztival
