This might be the silliest question i have ever asked. I went to give my girlfriend one of my extra universal RR copies to get her into them a bit more. I never have opened any of them before and i was honestly shocked that the CD was black and not pink. Is that normal lol. I don't want to open any others to find out. Sorry for the lame topic. Thanks in advance for the answer
-
do you mean Universal (distribution) label - US version? released in October 2003 ?
pink
-
I've never heard of anything like that before the only black discs in that album series are RR Extractions and the USA Join Me singles.
-
I don't know if I opened mine either, but the HER ones are normal, so I don't see why the others wouldn't be either.
-
Pics? As far as I know they are all pink. There are two shades of pink, the earlier copies had a light pink, later pressings used a darker pink, similar to the HER release.
-
I thought this was weird. Uploading pics now. Its the 2003 jimmy Frank universal serial 602498610459. And the cd itself is like the regular..just black. Ill show you. Misprint maybe?

That is undisputedly black, I haven't seen one like that before, maybe message Holmes over at JFRC?
-
mega rare!

If anyone finds anything out about it please let me know. I've asked around a bunch and no ones heard anything about it. Contacted universal and jfrc and all they said was it was most likely a misprint of color on the cd. I remember buying it from my local FYE. Geeze...ten years and I never even thought to open it. Glad my girlfriend showed some interest haha.
-
Jesus christ that's awesome
-
I'm going right now to FYE and ordering 15 copies and MAYBE I will get one of these.
EDIT: Just got back from FYE with no luck. They opened the one copy they had and it was the darker pink.

Haha I bought it many many years ago. I'm not even sure how to market this to people. Or even where to start at a price range. As far as I know it's one of a kind. And as for the response I received they basically indicateted that when something like this occurs, not many are printed that way and usually pulled when noticed.
-
I'll buy it. Seriously.

Ditto. Seriously serious.
-
Looks like you could get a lot for it
-
I know people will buy it, I have several people asking on the HIM cOllectors FB. I just have no idea where I to even go with the price. I'm thinking I should just eBay it most likely.
-
That's pretty cool. :D

I figured this thread might be an adequate place to ask a slightly off-topic question about the Universal release of RR.
Does anyone know how many copies where printed with the Parental Advisory label? More, less, or equal to the number of copies printed without it?
-
Less, as the non-PA versions have been printed ongoing since 2004, and PAs were only pressed in 2003. That said, you can find both easily.
-
I forgot the rationale behind putting the sticker on it in the first place.
