The only thing I dislike about HIM is that they don't make instrumental versions of their songs.

i think all the band members feed off one another
and with out ville, they wouldn't be lost, but it would be verrrrry different
maybe not bad, but it would be strange

I think what I don't like is that their singles seem to have gone downhill. Look back at the old singles...they were chock full of b-sides and covers and all that fun crap. But recently, in my opinion, they've been kind of let-downs. Live songs are nice but covers and b-sides are where it's at.
Oh, and it should not have taken this long to get a live DVD out.

Yeah, I agree with you.
I also hate the fact that I have to buy 2 or 3 different versions of the same single just to have all the b-sides...it's irritating (even if I guess it's not entirely the band's fault)...

I don't like all "limited" stuff. Limited editions of albums (VD and DL) are cool, but the price is too big. I don't know how big are earnings in US or in Germany, but here in Poland 50$ is VERY big cash. Why rich fans are better than poor fans?

ive seen them twice - first time was killer, 2nd was at PR...w/e...
i guess their performance's are what i dislike - its a hit and miss from what i hear

i have nothing bad to say about the band, they have stuck to their guns over the years which is more than i can say about fuck wit bands like mcr. HIM havent gotten worse, just keep going up, and the material just gets even more original as it goes along, there are no other bands out there like them....... and HIM are metal not emo!!!!!!!!

a quite stupid and expensive act if that was the case.
He quit drinking when it obviously was to much for him, and i'm pretty sure he will quit smoking the day it interfears to much with other things he finds more important in life.
His health is up to him, ofc i would like him to live healthy and whatever.. but he's not set out to be a role model for anyone, and if he wants to smoke, then he should be allowed to smoke 10 packs/day without ppl talking of his premature death.
I smoke pretty much too, and i guess i'm pretty tired of the issue and all the non-smokers "caring" that it will kill you and whatever.
it's one thing i gladly spend my money on, and enjoy til my time is out, instead of some other shitty drug that will kill me in an instant^^

i hate the laws of smoking in public places, people cant smoke anywere anymore. and thats dumb, theyve even got it happening in england now.....no smoking in pubs, wtf? its a pub, its what you do there, smoke and drink. if you dont like smoke then dont go to a bar, next they'll be making it illegal to drink in pubs. and as for ville smoking, i never said he should quit, anyone who wants to smoke can, thats why they sell them ;D

the only thing i dislike is the stage presence. linde is the only one who really moves around and all he does is sway from wide to side most of the time. you can't expect much from burton and gas but ville and mige used to be really interactive on stage. like when they played rebel yell at new pop or whatever it's called...that's a good show. now ville is planted at the microphone stand and mige stands around playing bass and linde walks around and moves a little while he plays....they're such great performers and they're all really talented so i don't see why they don't put more effort into their shows.

I have to agree with you. For me, the 2 best examples of that you're saying is HIM at Projekt Revolution and at Rock am Ring 2005. It doesn't even seem the same Ville that used to walk and interact to the people...

they only had 40 minutes to play at projekt revolution, that could be a part of it really, but still I have to agree with ya some, they mostly stand still, but mige is making these hilarious faces on stage, one can not not laugh while watching him perform ;D oh and I love it when ville, at PR, says: "it's nice to have some ghosts here, cause I'm pretty fu--ing sure I heard a couple of boos"

Yes, me too. For some reason, I prefer to watch a 'boring' concert knowing that Ville is sober rather than a happy happy one and you can clearly see he's so bloody drunk.

me too...the end of 2006 and beginning of 2007 weren't pretty at all :-\ for me or ville lol, I got bitched at due to the fact I said he needed to go to rehab or atleast do something about his drinkin, but I guess the people bitching at me were too proud to realize he needed help or something...

I've seen both drunk talkative Ville and sober focused Ville onstage, I would take the sober one over the drunk one any day!
When I saw them in February, he seemed kinda shy, but he totally focused on his singing and that is the most important thing :)
