Yeah, thats my only worry. I'm really looking forward to new material though. Even if it is another Dark Light there will hopefully be some quality songs.

I can not really complain, it is the lyrics that usually pull me through.

I do love the sound of the whole band though...

Just not as well put together anymore.

rushing into it could be a good thing..remember when sumone said that the demos where heavier? well if theyre rushing into it then they wuldnt have much time to mess around with the songs and make them less heavier or watever...hopefully

It's not like they are rushing anything. Remember how they quit the U.S. tour to start working on the album a few months earlier? Instead of starting in January and releasing in October, they started in October and will release in July. Same time frame, just shifted.

yea, the horrid little 12 year old girls who smoke because ville does, and were fans for the month before the dark light recording simply because bam is 'cool'. honestly, before dark light i was a proud him fan who didnt care if someone didnt like them. but now, im ebarresed by what dark light has done. the kids who once wore dirty slipknot and nirvana hoodies from the local market are now wearing him hoodies.

2005 onwards HIM feel like a 13 year olds pop rock band- like the rasmus [shudders]

They are what you think of them/want them to be.

Same people playing those instruments you know.

I don't like Dark Light, but I do like HIM.

Disliking them so easily doesn't say alot for how proud of a HIM fan people are.

Bands make mistakes/ take new directions. It happens. Whether this choice was the producers' or the bands', we may not ever know. Perhaps it is a mixture.

It could be worse. They could use a drum machine like in "Too Happy to Be Alive," and say "Well Darling's, we're going for a more 80's feel."

I love Gas but he needs to be more creative cause his drummingis just the same on almost every song so yeah I think I will agree with muschy in saying bring on the drum machine and the 80s feel. I would rather have that then the same beats over and over again.

Being fair, that drum machine beat was pretty damn monotonous!

Either way the drums would be boring. I am just saying they need a little bit more variation with their beats not the same line up almost every song. Those of you who have played drums before like me will notice it too. Well anything else to talk about here other than the drumming. *We killed the thread*

Ville isn't bad himself. I love the Daniel Lioneye album's drum parts.

I agree on all the eleventeen year olds at the shows, really disenchanting. I was thirteen at my first HIM show, but what other thirteen year old knew every song AND had rail?

I was pretty badass back then.
