Title: Tracks you wouldn't release as singles but were released
Post by: Spiritual_takeover on October 07, 2007, 03:57:36 PM
We all have favorite tracks on each album. But only a few of them get released as singles and get videos. Sometimes I don't agree with HIM's choice for a single. It happened with Wings Of A Butterfly. Does this ever happened 2 u? And with which track?

Poison Girl. I like the song, but i'd have prefered Razorblade Kiss instead.

i agree with the wings of a butterfly release, although i'm not sure what i would've released instead.  Perhaps Drunk on Shadows.

WLADE. It's All Tears would be better choice. And The Sacrament, they should release Soul on Fire instead.

It's All Tears was going to be a single, but they decided to push ahead and do Join Me instead.

under the rose

i dont disagree that woab was a single...

but under the rose...is just fucking amazing.

and...

i personally think...all of the singles were perfect before DL...

like ville said..."i think this band writes only singles."

its very true.

every song is a possible single...i dont care who you are...every single song...is a possible single...

Gone With the Sin, hands down.  Of all the HIM songs, that's the only one I actually dislike. :(

i agree with people saying razorblade kiss instead of poison girl but i desagree with the ones saying that its all tears should be instead of WLADE. besides dont fear the reaper, from greatest lovesongs, i would have made a single for each song

Wings of a Butterfly was a real letdown. Poison girl is a ok song as many of you said but hell yea Razorblade Kiss would have done a much better job as a single.

Sweet Pandemonium should have been the fourth single of Love Metal.

One other thing that came to my mind was the awful covers to the singles in the RR era, the "new" pink ones are much better.

No. It was only a promo for German radio stations. They were going to release it, but at the end released first single of RR, Join Me, instead.

These should've been the singles, not that they are what I want, but what i think would be the most successful

GLS666 - Our Diabolikal Rapture
RR - Join Me, RHIMA, Gone with the Sin
DSBH - Heartache Every Moment, Please Don't Let it Go,
LM - Soul on Fire, Funeral of Hearts, The Sacrament
DL - Wings of a Butterfly, Vampire Heart, Play Dead
VD - Bleed Well, Love in Cold Blood

It was released in the singles collection, check it:

It doesn't count :D First of all, it's in some kind of, umm, cardboard (i don;t know if that's correct word ;) ), not in normal box, it don't have video, and if I want it i have to buy whole singles collection. I think that this "forgotten" single should be When Love..., and IAT should have it own video instead of WLADE.

And Dead Lovers' Lane as second ;) Kiss of Dawn is bad choice for single, especially the first.

Killing Loneliness - that song was just boring.
Under The Rose or Drunk On Shadows would have been better.

This is hard I could tell you over 10 songs I really would love to have as a single, and songs which were great to release them as a single but its hard to say HIM isnt a band which are concentrated on a let me say a single song. They are more concentrated at the album as a whole. But I like all there singles. Maybe I would release Under The Rose instead of Killing Loneliness but as I say it is too hard

The singles from the venus doom was quite good but it would have been if they had releases and the sleepwalking part hope as an another single.

Under The Rose and Don't Fear The Reaper
I was heard that they were gonna release Reaper as a single after Wicked game, but they didn't want everyone to think they're a cover band, so they decided not to release that single.
Too bad...

Personally I would not have released Close to the Flame as a single, I would have rather it been Heartache Every Moment & Love You Like I Do.
